It's good that we feel that way, because that's probably going to be the ninja's world downfall: technology.

Personally I don't see a problem with it, until everyone and their moms start walking around like Gundams. I actually like Sarada's flash grenade, the healing spray, and even Boruto's sabre.

They do seem like practical tools for battle, especially when there aren't capable ninjas in the area. But Katasuke's battle suit and gauntlets are a joke.

Absorbing chakra, shields ... Holy shit.

Rinnegan is spat out somewhere, I guess.

Tech being introduced isn't a bad thing per se, the problem lies within the method of introduction, the type of tech being introduced and it's non proliferation.

Take the kote it's a turn device which took from it being able to replace ninja or make it easier for ninja. Instead they could be sealed a limited amount of jutsu in it, ehich when activated would forcibly covert a person's chakra to produce the jutsu etc, ninja woild become lazy. Even non ninja could use it in theory, why would people hire ninja when you could have such cool gadgets etc doing the work of ninja etc.theres a lot more that could be said on this.

I feel it's more so to make up for the sub par writing and slow pace of the manga.

Idk this modern take is just not what i watched Naruto for. I don't know if i can enjoy this new stuff as much but eh

Dragonball is already at the zenneth of tech
Yet doesn't talk about technology profusely like we just found out about it. We're already fairly educated in technology and its repercussions to humanity and the possible outcomes of embracing it. No need to be delving into the multifaceted aspects to it in an entire series

they have God modes now to compensate
?

compared to Naruto that relied on Ninjutsu and old school war methods, only to have tech catch up and change the game entiretly
Only for Boruto to turn into Naruto vs. Star Wars

Hagoromo's whole things was chakra being misused and now the whole thing is the extinction of Shinobi
Now it's about the misuse of ninja technology instead of ninjutsu. Same concept, different theme, and this theme is blatantly uninteresting. Star Wars already covered the futuristic technology terrain

not only by Aliens but also by the other civilians that live in that world that are not shinobi to begin with
Which is uninteresting and confusing when everything is just thrown in.

1. Humans
2. Extraordinary humans (ninja with Chakra)
3. Aliens
4. Cyborgs
5. Synthetic humans

The Boruto series isn't anything like Naruto. It's now practically an integration of Star Wars and Terminator

I kind of agree with you being an old school fan, I'm looking at it more from the angle where kote style tech is introduced and caused a ninja war. Ninja vs the people(non ninja) with tech, tensions start running high.

Anyway agree there's no need for tech.

Imagine year 1908 when the first cars were introduced. And in year 1910 they come up with today's drones. It's the exact same thing.

There's a difference, in only 2-3 years, they came up with a device that can destory the moon? What kind of.....

Or take an ever better example: Meiji Restoration. Japan went from an isolated country with Samurai to a fully modern country with machinery and electricity in under 10 years. That’s where Boruto is pulling it’s inspiration from. As cliche and Hollywood as it may be, The Last Samurai is a good example of how Japan was forced to adapt very very quickly in a short period of time.

Really dude? There's an entire library of history books if you want a story like that. You could just go to a library and you'll find even more interesting stories that correlate to humanity and technology and the conflicts that arose from that.

I don't see your point really. Libraries have all kinds of books- including ninja mangas. If you wish for more of them I can recommend a few if you wish. :p

All we wanted from Naruto was ninja fighting, ninja conflicts (without technology being rammed down our throats...

Who are "we"? I hope you didn't just assume everyone else in it.

They could've went a century back and gave us more back stories or started all the way from there or made technology progress even slower. It's their story, and we wouldn't complain since that's what drew us into the series in the first place), etc.

Refer to library-there are plenty of series like that.

We don't need another (large scale even) lecture on technology. There are already an abundance of series with this theme in them. Star Wars being one of them.

And we need to learn more of ideologies from previously dead nins? Naruto verse had some technology -it had computers and even a laptop, biotechnology, cloning what not- it's believable that some of them would make weapons too. And it's relevant. What people liked about Naruto is that we were always able to find some relevancy to our world. That's why Naruto readers get in to so many discussions and arguments even.

Naruto didn't need to change into this. The fact Kishimoto isn't even in charge anymore shows he sold us out.

That's the thing- you may get some Naruto Gaidens down the line in few years or more, if Kishi feels like writing some characters from past but he is burned out at the time. He churned out weekly manga for the longest and fasted rate. Even OP took a few more breaks.
He is a writer not our personal slave. Most people here don't even pay to read his stuff.

I think it's just hard for the older audience that grew up with Naruto to see the shinobi era be threatened with technology. I mean.. In all of Naruto it was clear that not everyone could become a ninja, and those that did, had to work hard to prove themselves worthy of the title. With technology, literally anyone can become a ninja. It makes most training obsolete in a sense. There's no effort. No need for any kind of nindo. It just feels wrong to a lot of the audience.

However, Boruto is a different story. We were told this by Boruto himself in the very beginning. It just shares the same universe with the story we started with. That universe has evolved since Naruto's era.. and will continue to do so. Once everything is destroyed in that timeskip we saw.. it will propel everything even further. The new age will be about humanity, not just those labeled as shinobi. It will focus on technology and education in general. Konoha will look vastly different once it's rebuilt. Only monuments, memorials, and museums will be left as a reminder of the shinobi era as to not lose it completely. A new police force will be made for those who still want to retain some form of shinobi way. The system of the shinobi world is still going to be its downfall.. and will be replaced by something close to democracy. Sarada will be the leader as she wants to be. Shikadai will be her vice president/advisor. Boruto and Mitsuki will work together to make sure the remainder of the Otsutsuki.. or any other clans (aliens) won't destroy Earth. I'm sure they will also make sure any real threat on Earth itself is taken care of as well. Everyone else will end up in the police force or scattered doing other jobs.

^^ This is what I see coming for the Boruto storyline. All thanks to the technology we are seeing right now. I know it sucks to see the shinobi era we grew up with possibly fall out of favor.. but it's just how this universe has progressed. From ancient traditional ways of the shinobi, to the future of humanity in general. The legend of Naruto and Shinobi will finally be complete by the end of Boruto.. which will be the end of the whole franchise :) I think it's a decent way to end the whole series.

Boruto and his gen should only be facing the otsutsuki clan in general, technology should become a threat ONLY after at least 2 more gens.

Boruto in the flash forward doesn't seems to use any scientific ninja weapons, make sense since he is the pinnacle of shinobi.

This it the most sensible post, I think Kodachis trying to introduce too much at once which'll ruin the manga.
