The scientific ninja weapons are gay

Am I the only one that thinks that the scientific ninja weapons are gay? I think the ninja world should be all about skills and hard work, not pulling out a machine gun out from your arse.

I know the creators are going down this path because they think that perhaps, the old Naruto Style wouldn't connect to the new "trendy" teens that use their mobile phones and play a lot of videogames. Well guess what? They're very out of touch because in the real world because those kids they're thinking to please really only exist in exaggerated movies or at the very least are a minority.

If I wanted to see Sci Fi bullshit* I'd go and read doctor who.

Times change.
It's not about appealing to people and thinking they are tired of Ninjas but as far as story progression things do need to progress.

I like the inventions and thought they were long overdue.The technology that was available in naruto and what wasn't was very confusing and not really thought out properly.I much rather see a story concerning ninjas status in society as civilization marches forward then some new never before seen enemy (who at this point would have to have justu on the scale of kaguya to be a threat) and that is extremely lazy and horrible for many reasons

Agreed, I don't really like how they decided to introduce the whole "science and technology" aspect.

There are plenty of anime that do fine with historic time period or completely made up world.

Quite frankly i agree.I rather see more forms of conflict then the 100th deadly ninja that just happend to be as strong as kaguya but was just sitting around somehwere.That pretty whack

How slow would should it have been ?And you do realize that slowly introducing it would of made it impossible to center the plot around it ?The last series focused on the ninja villages and dnothing else so its not like the technology came into existience over night,it jsut wasn't relevant ot the plot at the time and now over twenty years later they are now a major factor.

Of course technology came over night from Kote a base level device they upgraded to Androids within the spam of a couple of missions.

I have no qualms with tech, I wouldn't even mind rapid development of tech. It would create an imbalance and lead to escalation of tensions etc and possibly war.

The problem is jump from kote to androids was too rapid, Had they already shown advanced tech(weaponry) it wouldn't be much of an issue.

I agree with this. I think they were using the ninja technology in order to differentiate the Boruto series from Naruto, while also leaving a point of contention about the role of ninjas in a modernized setting to facilitate the plot. However, having flashbangs, min-guns, and jetpacks just feels out of place...

It's more like 15 years and yiu think the tech revolution happened straight after the war. Grow up child and stop making excuses, kote research was taking place around chunin exam time, two missions later androids exist. That is not what they are saying at all.And if that was the case did you need to read Naruto to realize War is not the solution to humanities problems ?They united the shinobi villages and defeated kaguya.Their is no conflict to be had among ninja on a large enough scale to warrant Naruto and sassuke going in and taking care things and if they had to the thread would have to be immense.Do you really wanna sit through an arc where someone happens to be as strong as naruto or sasuke ? That sounds incredibly lazy and just a rehash of what came before.I much rather see new forms of conflict and abilties used in new ways.Their is a whole world out ther ninjas are just a slice of it.

we've seen a rifle in the Zabuza arc and wars always lead to innovations in weapons and techs that usually change society as a whole

it is more logical if we saw this instead of the Narutoverse being stagnant in growth

like gunpowder and rifles being introduced to humanity
