Hello all =)
I've just realised that the creation of the rasengan isn't a clarified issue. In the manga, it states that Namikaze Minato created the rasengan, later on it adds that he created it whilst observing one of the bijuu's tailed beast bomb attack. I have 3 issues with this.
1) There were no wild Bijuu, at the time before his death, we can safely assume that Yagura, the former mizukage was still alive but even if the Three Tail's was already in the wild, it has never been shown to be capable of using the Tailed Beast Bomb.
2) I doubt that Minato would observe Kushina using the tailed beast bomb since that seems to imply that Kushina had some form of control over the Kyuubi, and if Kushina had lost control then Minato would prioritise saving his lover over contemplating a new unfeasible (as it appeared) technique.
3) If Minato was observing the tailed beast bomb, I highly doubt he would be able to work out the mechanics to the attack just by looking at it. He would have to somehow assume the the Bijuu was using yin and yang chakra and assume that this chakra is proportionated by 1:8.
All of these points make it seem like Minato was either a real genius who was able to deduce the most minuscule features of a technique, de-construct it and then rebuild it with only one element (Instead of using 2 types of chakra, he uses only one, his own) whilst keeping it stable. He did plan on infusing his own elemental nature into it which seems to be the perfect counter-argument but isn't that sort of like watching how a drink like Pepsi is made, and then replacing the water with bleach and hoping that it's more or less the same thing?
Any insight into this would be fantastic.
