I like Ill Mind Five the best because it's about some real shit.
I like them all equally I guess. Don't have a specific favourite ahah.

To each their own.
Yeah, I see where you and Cooh are coming and I fully respect your's and his opinions but you got to admit.. These 5 rapper's I've mention in my post are the closest that have ever been to the legendary era. ^_^
No offense, but I honestly wouldn't put any of the rappers you mentioned close to the legendary 90's era. I mean just listen to Prodigy from 1992-1996, that guy is one of the best lyricists ever to pick up a mic. All those you mentioned don't even come close to him in his prime imo.
Man, I don't know.
Heh, it's just my opinion tho. I don't blame anyone if he has a different artistic view.![]()

you should listen to Joey bada$$, he's the closest to that "legendary era" style when it comes to modern rappers. Kendrick is good but he isn't as good as most people make him. J cole is a great story teller and has a nice flow but he seriously lacks in story telling, rhyme schemes, and structure. I'd still place him and Kendrick somewhere in the top 5 of modern rappers.
You said you can't get back into the old rap with rappers such as nas? I suggest you listen to some of his unreleased songs then because those songs are arguably better than the material that have been put on his albums.
This is simply art at it's finest

not an unreleased track but this song is underrated
This is one of the best rap songs I've ever heard and the last verse is one of the best verse in hip hop period in my opinion

That stuffs good, but none of those tracks are better then any of the tracks put on Illmatic. (only talking about those nas tacks)
I agree, Illmatic is his best work but from an overall career standpoint it makes me wonder why some of these tracks didn't make it onto the albums.
He probably had too many good tacks, I'd rather wonder why Nas could never come close to Illmatic ever again. I mean he's still a dope MC but he never has been as dope as on Illamtic.
