I think Kishi is trying to return Sasuke to himself by this move. Kishi's thoughts on Sasuke in an interview was that Sasuke wasn't evil or good. Kishi called it pure. He also admitted Sasuke was very self centered. Since his family was killed he has wanted power and he still wants it. He also wants control because until he killed Oro he had not had much control over what happened to him. He has never really cared much about anybody else but himself and his own wants. I think this is Kishi's way of bringing him back to himself before they have their fight and the cycle of hatred ends.

I think when he didn't kill Naruto at VOTE it wasn't because he cared about Naruto it was only because he was not going to do what Itachi told him or wanted him to do. I don't believe he ever thought of Naruto or anyone else as a friend. I'm not even sure he knows what that is. He thinks of Hebe/Taka only as he needs their talents or powers and not that he is friends or comrades with them. He would not hesitate to sacrifice any one of them if it meant he could gain something he wanted more.

He is like a selfish petulant child who has never come to terms with what's happened to him even though he forgave Itachi for it. All he is done is place the blame from Itachi to the system. He doesn't come off as such a good villain because he is just being himself. He is coming off as crazy though with this wanting to kill the kages business. Especially since Kishi has made him look crazy in that picture. You don't get a lasting peace by killing off the people who oppose you. Who ever is left after you do that will fear you temporarily, that will turn to resentment, anger and hate and the they might kill you and the cycle starts again.

He and Naruto will have to beat each other senseless until they both realize that they do not have enough chakra left to do anything but talk.

I wonder what kishi intentions were for releasing the information in the manner and timing that he did.
Its his manga so him more then anyone else would of saw this coming.

The endgame tension and focus must be centered elsewhere and if that is the case i wonder what else he has in store if he is completely fine with us knowing how this ends more so than not.

He's doing it better than Madara and Kaguya, that's for true. And you say that Sasuke's revolution is already confirmed to have failed, I don't quite see your point. This is Naruto. Every villain fails in Naruto, did you think Sasuke was going to win for a second?
People have assumed Sasuke was a good guy now and on Naruto's point of view. I think they don't want Sasuke to be a villain or antagonist.
And thank god he's shown his true colors after the last two failures of villains. This is Naruto's greatest conflict, his greatest adversary, his so called best friend. Let's hope he has what it takes to keep our interest.

I never once considered Sasuke as a Villain,to me I always find Sasuke trying to seek the truth about his life and Sasuke went maniac because he was too delusional and he's one of those victims that was being manipulated by BZ. I don't understand why people think he's a villain, he was once on a good side, and Naruto was even willing to bring him back so...

That's because Sasuke isn't a villain. He's a savior of the NV.

They all claim to be Saviors, Madara, Obito, Kaguya at one point, and now Sasuke, but they are Driven by hatred and Anger, and thats always the Wrong motive for Peace, or Salvation.
