first thing,tobi hasnt shown any particular strength in taijutsu, so if he can just use chains during close combats,then so be it. that doesnt mean he was retarded...second, torune & Fu could just find about tobi's tangaebility, but couldnt find how to deal with it. So dont say minato & Fu-torune are equal in analysis.
Once you see tobi fight, you know that in order to hit him,you've to hit just when he solidifies....minato & Fu-torune were able to understand this. However,the more imp thing was that minato was also able to formulate a plan to hit tobi & he succeeded.
[*]One of the greatest feats that Itachi has achieved is breaking out of the Edo Tensei. Although many might argue that it was a completely lucky event and had nothing to do with intelligence. I beg to differ. If that was anyone else they would not have known what to do with KA. KA isn't, and was never supposed to be used for the Edo Tensei. The fact that Itachi, so quickly realized that he could break out of it with KA is tremendous and is also a monument to his intelligence.

When he does it really exaggerated because all other ninjas can do that without even thinking about it. Oh wow I can count the number of ninjas hiding, or following me. Oh wow I can force the opponent to stand there and trap them. Oh wow I tricked them coz they didn't see the little shadow. All these little tricks have been done a countless number of time by many ninja but isn't exaggereted as much. We don't get to see them think about it like Shikamaru but you know most ninjas do this instinctively (except Naruto coz hes a bit thick). Soz Shika fans but you havn't got any proof of how smart he is compared to normal ninjas let alone be compared with Itachi. Keep it in the stat books but thats the only place his intelligence is.

Yes it is japanese chess. Chess has been made in many different countries. What you call chess is the internation chess game which is accepted nowadays. Shoji is japanese chess.
I'm saying having to stop and think about it slowly isn't always possible when your a ninja in a battle. Itachi has been proven to do exactly the same thing while also fighting the enemy at the same time. No prep time or delay or stalling, many other ninjas think up a plan as simple as his in the middle of an intense battle. Even Naruto has come up with a few good ones.

Okay, look, I'll go easy on you, but I couldn't get past this statement. How can I respect your opinions if what you say is factually incorrect? Games like Chess and Shogi developed from, I believe, an Indian game (and I mean Indians from India).
If you've done any study of either, then it would be painfully obvious that Shogi is very different than Chess, especially in difficulty/complexity. I understand that there's a bunch of nincompoops calling Shogi "Japanese Chess"...that's like calling sake rice wine... :facepalm:
