How is Tobi a genius? He has not shown us anything that says he can do anything but follow Madara's orders. Same with Kabuto everything he has shown us he got from Oro.

Oro and Minato I will agree with and then add in Itachi and Shikamaru.

Your kabuto statement has said it all to me -- whether he followed in Oro's footsteps is irrelevant...look at the part where he first came to tobi - he planned ahead - thought through scenarios and its been shown even in the past how smart he is - he even flippin' fought with tsunade and had an upper hand. He was able to be a good spy cuz he's smart too. you can't not put him in.
