How is Tobi a genius? He has not shown us anything that says he can do anything but follow Madara's orders. Same with Kabuto everything he has shown us he got from Oro.

He used Itachi pretty well. I also believe he used Madara since Madara is a punk compared to Tobi. He also used Nagato, Konan, and Sasuke for his own agenda.
