@Darth: Hmmm~ It's good, but I think you could use better examples, playboys are kinda ambiguous.
A playboy is a "better" term for being a pervert. However you spin pervert it is a negative thing unless you are speaking privately with a GF/Wife about it (Even then that is a strech).

Indeed playboy is a 'negative' term, but there are cases where the so called 'prowess' of one is admired, which is a sad thing. But you've made your point, I'll retract my claim ;D

Nononon~ It does change the feel of it, in a stupid way indeed, though that is relative to what sentences and meanings you're trying to convey, so it's not always dumb, that's just your biased opinion.

Try changing a sentence with horrible contents, such as the one about 'raping a woman', then it will only look dumb, it isn't really a nice sentence at all and I feel as if the guy was 'trolling' anyways.

Try changing "I'm a fool" to "I'm a gentle fool" or "I'm a lovable fool," does not make it exactly sound any dumber, rather there is an implication of tenderness and care, I'm sure you get the difference.

You see, if you're only going to judge things that you see, then you will automatically be generalizing, excluding the cases which doesn't fall under you categorization. Hence, your assumption will be the one looked upon as "dumb"

Edit: Of course, I forgot that we shouldn't forget the kinds of intentions that are meant jokingly as well, that's another example of your generalization.

lovable fool yes, but a pervert isnt really something that can be made to sound lovable. its just as much your biased opinion that it does as it is mine that it doesnt.

You see, I left out any good examples on the pervert part to see whether you would come up with some yourself or not, so as to complement what I'd written. Here they(it, a long one) are for your future reference:

Consider a relationship between two lovers, their humour or past experiences might dictate that when they call each other perverts, they do so jokingly, which is silently implied by the two as a result of their humour or past.
There might have been a situation wherein the two made some association to the word pervert, such as being one with the one you love, for example, saying "I'm only a pervert when I'm with you" to your lover, would be such a case. In this case, so as to clarify it, the meaning of the word pervert wouldn't be, as is conventionally, a bad one.
Hence, between this couple, adding an adjective or two, such as "Oh, you silly pervert you~" would only enhance the original meaning they associate it to, QED.

I hope it wasn't too hard to comprehend, thank you for your time.
