Chise's gaze looked over the diagram that was laid out in front of her while listening intently to the explanation she was being given in regards to the details the image was meant to tell her. A sense of excitement began to gradually swell within her as her eyes seemed glued to the diagram, looking from the printed head-to-toe. This was what she had anticipated; the technicalities, complexities and nearly dictionaries-thick worth of vocabularies that she'd have to learn and come to understand in quickfire references in order to properly understand a patient. This was only the tip of the iceberg to be sure, yet it was enough to reinvigorate her sense of why she was here; if nothing else, she thrived on the pursuit of knowledge and information and medical studies seemed to have those opportunities in spades.Rank: B-Rank

Description: The user charges electrical chakra into his index finger and hits the opponent. Doing so temporarily neutralizes all feeling to the targeted area for a limited amount of time, essentially anesthetizing it (by overloading and numbing the nerves with the electrical discharge), allowing the medical ninja to perform minor surgery or sutures without the patient having to endure the pain or being able to move his body part. This type of local anesthesia is very effective on the limbs and superficial tissues and, depending on which nerve cluster/pressure point/body area its applied to, can even leave a whole limb anesthetized. In battle, this skill can be used with free form taijutsu to great effect, though, due to the rapid contact, will produce a shorter effect.
Note: Lasts 5 turns for medical uses but only one turn if used offensively
"It's mostly used for treating patients without them... screaming, though nullifying pain for yourself is a good way to continue fighting without drawbacks. Though after the technique fades and it all comes rushing back. Well. You're gonna be in a world of hurt."
Lena stands up and takes out a scroll from her pouch, she places it down on the table for now before she begins to speak again. Moving around Chise.
"Any medical ninja knows that one of the key aspects of healing a patient is to ensure his body is in balance. This relates to chakra paths and nerves a lot. As such, any disturbance to one, disturbs the other. Our body has important key points to ensure this balance. These points are associated with important nerves in our body which are, by extension, closely associated with our chakra system. By disrupting nerves you can achieve a multitude of effects, from the practical "numbness" and "paralysing" of a given area to loss of conscience to disturbances to your heart rate to loss of conscience. "
"Knowing the weak spots in the body as well as what happens when you attack them is essential in both treating ninjas and defending yourself. Oh yes you can definitely use this to effect in your hand to hand combat. There are various weak points and we won't list them as most of them are common knowledge; but some, specially those that require anatomical knowledge and pressure point knowledge as well as the effects that trigger from them are your upper hand in a fight. Some are shown in this image." Lena reaches over Chise's shoulder and unravels the scroll on the table and shows her student a labelled picture of a man. "Other weak points like the Occipital ridge or the vagus nerve will require you to do some homework. But I'm sure you'll enjoy that."

Lena lets Chise take in the information and before she could ask questions or speak strikes her spine with a palm. A pulse of chakra disrupts her nervous system and she would just collapse to the floor with no proper control of her Body. The commands her brains would make to the parts of the body she would want would be all mixed up, her nerves confused and recieving the wrong information.
"Re-learn how your body works." Lena pulls her seat around, placing it directly next to Chise's body and sits beside her. "You need to understand, feel those pathways go to work."

Description:
Manipulating the chakra in their hand, the user can create an electric field to disrupt the target's nervous system. Because the brain and body communicate using electrical impulses, the user can use the field to disrupt the target's ability to move. The result is the commands to move one body part being relayed to another, making it near impossible for the opponent to move unless they have high skill and understanding of the body or with time. This effect can be achieved by making contact with the enemy, preferably near or directly on his spine (neck, lower back, etc). Contact with a single limb or body part will affect only its symmetric counterpart. The effects last for 10 turns unless countered but are short live in high level taijutsu users (Jyuken users, EIG users), which have an unparalleled awareness of their body movement, quickly adjusting themselves to their new nervous arrangement and in medical ninjas, who possess a high level of awareness of their own bodily functions, achieving the same effect by pure control and adaptability.
Suddenly, the hair along the back of her neck stood up as she watched Lena disappear around the corner of her vision. Somehow she had a suspicion something was about to happen.. After all, "head's up" was still a not so reasonable process for her mentor, apparently. Before she really had the opportunity to turn around to investigate her intentions, Chise felt the light pad of a hand squarely against her back; directly along the length of her spine. The feeling was instantaneous before.. nothing. She immediately lost the sensation of her body; dramatic as that sounds, it was quite accurate. All sense of functionality seemed to leak out of her instantaneously as her legs buckled under her, dropping her onto the floor where her head would no doubt bounce in an undesirable collision across the floorboards. This immediately resulted in a minor concussive force trauma, stirring a blinding blurriness across her eyes her ears began to ring; a headache rapidly ensuing.. After a short delay in waiting for the blurred vision to pass, she slowly fluttered her eyes closed, brows knitting slightly across her visage in minor twitching motions. This was getting old.. but she only had to consider the purpose that was behind it all, so that'd have to be enough to keep her patience and trudge through it, indifferent of the discomforts or inconveniences.

Her focus bled apart as her eyes were hidden behind their lids. She needed a moment to clear her thoughts and focus inwardly, given the lack of outward awareness that she no longer had the luxury of accounting for at the moment. She had a suspicion as to what the connection was between the information that Lena had begun to give her just prior to this particular event. No doubt she was meant to learn how to locate disruptions in the functionality of her body, isolate them to specific points and then redirect their functions back to normal in order to give herself control over her systems again. She was like a fish out of water, and until she could relearn how to breathe, she'd be stuck this way.. She considered where it was that she had gotten hit; directly center of her spine, likely aimed between two vertebra to strike narrowly and precisely into the centralized nervous system that runs throughout the full length of the spine and expands in an overwhelmingly complex network throughout the entirety of her body. It made sense that she would strike at the spine, given it's rooted connection to the rest of the nervous system and it's direct pathway connection to the brain. She could do this one of two ways: Try to focus toward every single individual nerve throughout the entirety of her body and redirect it's functions back to normal, which would take her the better half of the rest of her life to do.. Or she could just locate the point of disruption to begin with and do the same thing, then allow for the body to rekindle itself from there as was natural. Gradually, Chise began to feel around the internal machinations of her body; utilizing what chakra she could muster to slowly flow from point to point in a guided pathing throughout her nervous system to give her a "sensing" method for what was going on. There were still impulses being distributed throughout her body as expected, but they seemed.. wrong. As if it was a decay of information like playing a game of chain messenger.. She slowly worked her way along the route that the information was being distributed from, focused on locating the source of the misinformation being distributed throughout her body until she found herself along her own spine; focused toward the specific point that Lena's chakra had struck. She could sense the obvious disruption of functionality; the absolute anarchy that was throttling throughout the intertwined complex bundle of threads that was her nerves all running the length of her spine as a whole. It was as if this were the foreman, meant to allocate jobs and responsibilities to the workforce that was the rest of her body, and the foreman was heavily intoxicated... Gradually, Chise began to flow the chakra she had utilized to guide herself throughout the inner structure of her body into the collective of nerves centralized through her spine. She slowly isolated it from either direction, preventing the flow of the misinformation from reaching her body any further before carefully and meticulously reinserting her own directive impulses into the nervous system through the careful manipulation of her own chakra. It was as if she were hitting the reset button; the sensation of surging impulses rekindling in a natural pathing throughout the entirety of her system, carrying with it small imprints of her chakra to flush out the misinformation that had forced its way into her system through Lena's technique. It allowed for her to sense in a very small way every pathway that was taken and

every nerve that was revitalized in a gradual return of sensation. It started with very simple functions; the wiggling of her toes, the sensation of feeling the warmth of her clothes hugging delicately to her skin, cool, gentle touch of the floor she laid upon that slowly worked its way through her skin that had direct contact with it. And of course the throbbing tenderness of her head at the point in which she had landed against the floor at the very beginning of this..After a short delay from the point that she had begun to reacquire awareness of her body and it's functions, she very slowly broke away from her frozen state as if shaking off a cement crust that had molded over her body, feeling the bend of her joints in a stiff yet gradual manner as she narrowly pushed herself up off the floor, bringing herself to an upright sitting arrangement, lifting her right hand to palm lightly at the side of her head, fingers combing through her fiery red hair as a soft, disgruntled mumbling escaped her. "We should look into investing into floor pads.. General safety, y'know.."
