Description: The user charges electrical chakra into his index finger and hits the opponent. Doing so temporarily neutralizes all feeling to the targeted area for a limited amount of time, essentially anesthetizing it (by overloading and numbing the nerves with the electrical discharge), allowing the medical ninja to perform minor surgery or sutures without the patient having to endure the pain or being able to move his body part. This type of local anesthesia is very effective on the limbs and superficial tissues and, depending on which nerve cluster/pressure point/body area its applied to, can even leave a whole limb anesthetized. In battle, this skill can be used with free form taijutsu to great effect, though, due to the rapid contact, will produce a shorter effect.
Note: Lasts 5 turns for medical uses but only one turn if used offensively

"It's mostly used for treating patients without them... screaming, though nullifying pain for yourself is a good way to continue fighting without drawbacks. Though after the technique fades and it all comes rushing back. Well. You're gonna be in a world of hurt."

Lena stands up and takes out a scroll from her pouch, she places it down on the table for now before she begins to speak again. Moving around Chise.

"Any medical ninja knows that one of the key aspects of healing a patient is to ensure his body is in balance. This relates to chakra paths and nerves a lot. As such, any disturbance to one, disturbs the other. Our body has important key points to ensure this balance. These points are associated with important nerves in our body which are, by extension, closely associated with our chakra system. By disrupting nerves you can achieve a multitude of effects, from the practical "numbness" and "paralysing" of a given area to loss of conscience to disturbances to your heart rate to loss of conscience. "

"Knowing the weak spots in the body as well as what happens when you attack them is essential in both treating ninjas and defending yourself. Oh yes you can definitely use this to effect in your hand to hand combat. There are various weak points and we won't list them as most of them are common knowledge; but some, specially those that require anatomical knowledge and pressure point knowledge as well as the effects that trigger from them are your upper hand in a fight. Some are shown in this image."
Lena reaches over Chise's shoulder and unravels the scroll on the table and shows her student a labelled picture of a man. "Other weak points like the Occipital ridge or the vagus nerve will require you to do some homework. But I'm sure you'll enjoy that."

Lena lets Chise take in the information and before she could ask questions or speak strikes her spine with a palm. A pulse of chakra disrupts her nervous system and she would just collapse to the floor with no proper control of her Body. The commands her brains would make to the parts of the body she would want would be all mixed up, her nerves confused and recieving the wrong information.

"Re-learn how your body works." Lena pulls her seat around, placing it directly next to Chise's body and sits beside her. "You need to understand, feel those pathways go to work."

Description:
Manipulating the chakra in their hand, the user can create an electric field to disrupt the target's nervous system. Because the brain and body communicate using electrical impulses, the user can use the field to disrupt the target's ability to move. The result is the commands to move one body part being relayed to another, making it near impossible for the opponent to move unless they have high skill and understanding of the body or with time. This effect can be achieved by making contact with the enemy, preferably near or directly on his spine (neck, lower back, etc). Contact with a single limb or body part will affect only its symmetric counterpart. The effects last for 10 turns unless countered but are short live in high level taijutsu users (Jyuken users, EIG users), which have an unparalleled awareness of their body movement, quickly adjusting themselves to their new nervous arrangement and in medical ninjas, who possess a high level of awareness of their own bodily functions, achieving the same effect by pure control and adaptability.
Chise's gaze looked over the diagram that was laid out in front of her while listening intently to the explanation she was being given in regards to the details the image was meant to tell her. A sense of excitement began to gradually swell within her as her eyes seemed glued to the diagram, looking from the printed head-to-toe. This was what she had anticipated; the technicalities, complexities and nearly dictionaries-thick worth of vocabularies that she'd have to learn and come to understand in quickfire references in order to properly understand a patient. This was only the tip of the iceberg to be sure, yet it was enough to reinvigorate her sense of why she was here; if nothing else, she thrived on the pursuit of knowledge and information and medical studies seemed to have those opportunities in spades.

Suddenly, the hair along the back of her neck stood up as she watched Lena disappear around the corner of her vision. Somehow she had a suspicion something was about to happen.. After all, "head's up" was still a not so reasonable process for her mentor, apparently. Before she really had the opportunity to turn around to investigate her intentions, Chise felt the light pad of a hand squarely against her back; directly along the length of her spine. The feeling was instantaneous before.. nothing. She immediately lost the sensation of her body; dramatic as that sounds, it was quite accurate. All sense of functionality seemed to leak out of her instantaneously as her legs buckled under her, dropping her onto the floor where her head would no doubt bounce in an undesirable collision across the floorboards. This immediately resulted in a minor concussive force trauma, stirring a blinding blurriness across her eyes her ears began to ring; a headache rapidly ensuing.. After a short delay in waiting for the blurred vision to pass, she slowly fluttered her eyes closed, brows knitting slightly across her visage in minor twitching motions. This was getting old.. but she only had to consider the purpose that was behind it all, so that'd have to be enough to keep her patience and trudge through it, indifferent of the discomforts or inconveniences.

Her focus bled apart as her eyes were hidden behind their lids. She needed a moment to clear her thoughts and focus inwardly, given the lack of outward awareness that she no longer had the luxury of accounting for at the moment. She had a suspicion as to what the connection was between the information that Lena had begun to give her just prior to this particular event. No doubt she was meant to learn how to locate disruptions in the functionality of her body, isolate them to specific points and then redirect their functions back to normal in order to give herself control over her systems again. She was like a fish out of water, and until she could relearn how to breathe, she'd be stuck this way.. She considered where it was that she had gotten hit; directly center of her spine, likely aimed between two vertebra to strike narrowly and precisely into the centralized nervous system that runs throughout the full length of the spine and expands in an overwhelmingly complex network throughout the entirety of her body. It made sense that she would strike at the spine, given it's rooted connection to the rest of the nervous system and it's direct pathway connection to the brain. She could do this one of two ways: Try to focus toward every single individual nerve throughout the entirety of her body and redirect it's functions back to normal, which would take her the better half of the rest of her life to do.. Or she could just locate the point of disruption to begin with and do the same thing, then allow for the body to rekindle itself from there as was natural. Gradually, Chise began to feel around the internal machinations of her body; utilizing what chakra she could muster to slowly flow from point to point in a guided pathing throughout her nervous system to give her a "sensing" method for what was going on. There were still impulses being distributed throughout her body as expected, but they seemed.. wrong. As if it was a decay of information like playing a game of chain messenger.. She slowly worked her way along the route that the information was being distributed from, focused on locating the source of the misinformation being distributed throughout her body until she found herself along her own spine; focused toward the specific point that Lena's chakra had struck. She could sense the obvious disruption of functionality; the absolute anarchy that was throttling throughout the intertwined complex bundle of threads that was her nerves all running the length of her spine as a whole. It was as if this were the foreman, meant to allocate jobs and responsibilities to the workforce that was the rest of her body, and the foreman was heavily intoxicated... Gradually, Chise began to flow the chakra she had utilized to guide herself throughout the inner structure of her body into the collective of nerves centralized through her spine. She slowly isolated it from either direction, preventing the flow of the misinformation from reaching her body any further before carefully and meticulously reinserting her own directive impulses into the nervous system through the careful manipulation of her own chakra. It was as if she were hitting the reset button; the sensation of surging impulses rekindling in a natural pathing throughout the entirety of her system, carrying with it small imprints of her chakra to flush out the misinformation that had forced its way into her system through Lena's technique. It allowed for her to sense in a very small way every pathway that was taken and

every nerve that was revitalized in a gradual return of sensation. It started with very simple functions; the wiggling of her toes, the sensation of feeling the warmth of her clothes hugging delicately to her skin, cool, gentle touch of the floor she laid upon that slowly worked its way through her skin that had direct contact with it. And of course the throbbing tenderness of her head at the point in which she had landed against the floor at the very beginning of this..

After a short delay from the point that she had begun to reacquire awareness of her body and it's functions, she very slowly broke away from her frozen state as if shaking off a cement crust that had molded over her body, feeling the bend of her joints in a stiff yet gradual manner as she narrowly pushed herself up off the floor, bringing herself to an upright sitting arrangement, lifting her right hand to palm lightly at the side of her head, fingers combing through her fiery red hair as a soft, disgruntled mumbling escaped her. "We should look into investing into floor pads.. General safety, y'know.."

Chise might not have noticed it because of her concentration to the focus on regaining control of her body, but she was on the ground for a few hours. Lena hadn't moved though, her patience was as fierce as her gaze. Eventually Chise regained control and began to sit up right, she was pale - her hand was completely covered in red and she was even more stained than before.

"A Few bumps and bruises. An insignificant blight to what you'll be facing." Lena slipped off her chair and onto the floor, sitting directly in front of Chise she took her wounded hand and held it in her left - Lena's right hand hovered over Chise's cut and then glowed green, she continued;

"The Ranshinsho is a ninjutsu technique where the ninja turns their chakra into an electrical pulse which is transmitted into an enemy's body by striking the base of their neck or anywhere along the spine. The electrical impulse travels up their brain stem and disrupts the flow of electricity in the nervous system. The brain cannot work like this, thus all communication between the brain and body are confused, causing a person to move their arm when they should be moving their leg, and generally debilitating them. Only an unusually skilled ninja would be able to overcome such a handicap so congratulations on recovering, though it took you quite a while this time."

As Lena was talking Chise would feel a warmth in her hand, and the pain in it would gradually cease, leaving nothing but a stinging sensation, her strength slightly recovering from the preceding events.

Lena stares at Chise, sitting right in front of her with such a look, "I'm sorry. I feel like I might be traumatising you."
Chise sat with idleness for a time. She had suspected the wound across her hand would have become an issue all over again from the lack of her capacity to control it's bleeding as she had been doing before the debilitated state that was forced upon her. A few soft blinks crossed her pale expression as she slowly looked down upon the stained floorboards as well the cut that had long since begun to dry over, but not for the lack of an excess of blood loss. It was a miracle she had even regained consciousness by this point; perhaps a testament to the possibility that her body was more or less used to this sort of thing by now.. Suddenly she felt her hand get lifted up by her mentor, of which she didn't particularly have the strength to react to in any extensive manner other than simply looking up the length of her own arm to eye the soft green glow that had begun to

illuminate across the cut. She felt the warmth of it begin to slowly pass over her otherwise cold skin due to the extreme lack of blood flow at present, the sensation almost immediately rejuvenating a sense of "life" back into her as a soft sigh escaped her. It no doubt wouldn't necessarily replenish the blood that her body had lost in such copious amounts, but it would at least give her body the opportunity to replenish what had been lost naturally, rather than having it simply flow out faster than it could produce as it had been doing all this time.

With a moment of silence as she let the healing take place happily, Chise tried to listen intently to the instruction she was still being given despite her current condition. That was precisely why she was here in the first place after all; to miss these opportunities when they would present themselves would be to mean the challenges and obstacles she was being made to overcome through it all would be for nothing. All she could do was listen, but arguably that was the best way to learn: A steady flow of information for the mind to store instead of trying to process every minute detail as it came, leaving the possibility that she'd miss a detail following the last. Suddenly, she heard a peculiar change in tone; Lena now addressing her in less of an official mannerism like they had been thus far, and more.. direct. Chise slowly lifted her attention toward her, blinking softly as she considered the suggestion that she was being "traumatized" from what she was being put through. For some bizarre reason, that seemed to stir a soft chuckle under Chise's otherwise shallow breath. Her gaze softened, the dark bags under her emerald green eyes deeply set across her visage as she lowered her attention downward for a pensive moment. "Traumatic..? Hardly.. Maybe a little inconvenient; there's certainly other ways I'd think it could be done that didn't require "the element of surprise" quite so frequently.. but I understand the purpose of it regardless." She slowly lifted her attention back to the gentle glow that was coating her hand from Lena's, watching as the wound seemingly cleared right away as if being brushed from her body like nothing more than a smudge on a surface. ".. Thinking on it a little, I'd say what I've experienced so far isn't quite so bad comparatively to the way I had been treated in my village; before Tsumigakure I mean.. Even my own mind has played worse tricks on me than anything I've experienced from another person so far.." It sounded a bit dramatized to most when really considering what her words suggested, but it was entirely true. As a child, Chise had faced many illusions projected from her own mind; shadows brought to life, faces distorted and warped, simple objects turned into monstrous
You must be registered for see images
incarnations of her worst nightmares that she hadn't even had yet by that age. If anything had been traumatic, that was more likely the culprit. She had never really considered how all of that may have shaped who she is presently, though. Perhaps that was something she actively avoided on purpose out of fear of relapsing into seeing them.. After running from them the majority of her youth, she had only just begun to be able to live a normal life without the constant haunting of it all. Carefully her gaze lifted back up toward Lena, a soft smile pulled across her expression. "So don't worry.. I trust you know what you're doing. I don't think there's much you could do to me that would traumatize me.. At least not based on what we've dealt with thus far." A brow twitched lightly across her expression as she had a thought, her attention turning slightly away from Lena's in the process. ".. Just don't take that as a challenge.."

With that, Chise remained situated along the floor for a little while longer in a seated arrangement. Even though her wound had been healed, she still needed time to let her body recuperate and replenish what she had lost from the last handful of hours. She considered if she stood up too soon or too quickly, she'd no doubt get light-headed, dizzy, and inevitably collapse to the ground all over again to just repeat the cycle. So for now, she considered it better to just take a moment to let her body "wake up" as she had, or at least until Lena would insist they moved on to the next subject.

"Me existing is pretty traumatising. I'm hard to forget." Lena was impressed by her student, and she very much liked her company - there was something about her that made the day interesting. Maybe after this they could remain pretty good friends, if the kid hadn't been put off already and was just showing face.

"As one learns medical ninjutsu, one gains knowledge of the chakra, chakra system and tenketsu throughout the body. While one can't, without the Byakugan, seen these minute details, a medical ninja is knowledgeable enough to, through the use of your Diagnosis, know the location of each person's tenketsu as well as his chakra lines when performing said skill. While closing a tenketsu requires jyuuken mastery, opening one requires either that or medical mastery. Through a medical technique, you can re-open closed tenketsu and chakra lines. A medical ninja also becomes able to feel and evaluate the Eight Inner Gates of a patient, if they were opened or not before, if they are healthy or not and if they, if opened, will burst and kill the user or not. They can't, however, manipulate from the outside, these gates to neither forcefully open or close them. They can't, either, heal damaged Inner Gates."

Lena pauses with her long explanation and reaches behind her, grabbing a Scroll and placing it in Chise's hand. It was a light blue scroll and had no seal,

"While this knowledge is essential for diagnosing the problems, it can be extremely important when restoring missed body parts, doing surgery or treating the result of various techniques, like the aforementioned Jyuuken but also the result of opening the Eight Inner Gates, etc etc.

Finally, some battle skills and techniques resort to damaging a targets chakra system either by damaging the chakra pathways or by disturbing ones chakra flow. Genjutsu is a good example of this. Because patients like these exist, Medical Ninjas needed to learn how to treat them and as such developed techniques to help in this task.

There are a few things that can't be done though, like healing the Eight Inner Gates. But there are many more that can. For example, restoring chakra, calming the chakra flow and restoring it to normal, opening up closed tenketsu, rebuilding missing chakra lines and finally, purging malicious chakra or energy from a patients body.

Since there is no patient here with closed Tenketsu that you can practice on, that scroll with the details of the Jutsu is on it. You will have to do some homework, if you visit your villages hospital and take that scroll to a Doctor it should have the right permissions for you to practice there under the guidance of them. No surprises for this one I'm afraid Chise."

Lena winks at her student and then stands up, looking around the room she lets out a sigh and offers a hand for Chise to stand up.

"There are other techniques related this this lesson, but I cannot teach you the yet - they'll exhaust your chakra completely and your energy. You'll probably die. You just need a little more experience and then we can come back and revisit them. You're talented, but you're still weak. You must be hungry. Eat something."

Lena gestures to the table of food.

Chise listened closely and intently as she was instructed on the premise of Tenketsu and their principles relating to the mechanics of the human condition, specifically to the use of chakra and the process it flows through the body in an effective and precise science that was quite fascinating to consider with an open mind as someone freshly learning of the subject on a more in-depth level. She watched as the scroll was dropped into her hand, eyeing it carefully for a moment before her pale hands moved to gradually unravel it to inspect the contents within. Her eyes practically glimmered with excitement as she instantly began to take in the information it contained, though found her focus adverted after a brief moment of focus on the contents of the scroll, eyeing the hand that Lena had offered to her. Chise smiled as she lightly gripped hold of the hand, feeling her whole weight effortlessly heaved upward in a steady manner until she was flat along her feet, hugging the scroll to her chest in her other hand. As expected, she had almost immediately become light headed and dizziness crashed over her like a wave powerful enough to kick up her feet right from under her. She moved to plant a hand against the table in a supportive manner, balancing herself out long enough until the dizzy spell would wash away from her immediate senses until she turned her head up to eye the food that was in front of her. She blinked once or twice, remembering that it had been there for awhile now at least, given it was all there when she had first woken up after the poison incident. Yet that didn't seem to matter one bit as a hand moved to extend outward to grab a hold of some, only to hesitate for a brief moment as she turned her eyes suspiciously toward Lena. ".. Full disclosure: If any of this is poisoned and it's supposed to be some kind of lesson, I'm never willingly letting you cook in the future.." With that, she scooped up an empty plate that she could use as her own personal dish as she moved around the table, taking samples of each form of food and adding it to the pile that she'd eventually sit down and begin to casually eat at, her body clearly eager to finally have nutrients being pushed through it again. As she ate, she sat with the scroll sprawled out across her lap, slowly weaving through it one small portion at a time, studying diligently at the same time that she tried to give her body one of it's basic necessities: Food.

"Oh no no, Food is sacred." Lena chuckled, she felt bad that Chise almost had to second guess on eating the food. Though Lena wouldn't do something like that. Yes she wanted to push her and put her in situations that would prove fatal, but Lena didn't actually want Chise to die - she needed to eat. The Threaded monster took a seat opposite her student and dipped a spoon into some soup, breaking bread as it's companion.

"There are still a few techniques you can learn, though I'm unsure whether or not you'd like to take the rest of the day off and do something else or continue after our break?"

She slipped the soaked up bread into her mouth and chewed, eyeing Chise before her gaze went back onto the food she was eating. Again pushing her student completely all day might've proved to be unhealthy, her progress was going very well however so she indeed deserved a break.

"Then we're in agreement." Chise mumbled outwardly toward the mention of food being sacred, a slight mouthful of it being chewed upon at the same time before she continued on with her meal in silent bliss as Lena joined her, all the while consistently focused in on the study of the material she had recently been given. Along the way, she seemed to be taking down notes into a separate source; something that appeared to be a book, possibly a

journal or sorts that was leather-backed and filled with basic parchment paper, utilizing a simple quill as her tool to write with that appeared to have an ink-based reservoir that was built into the shaft of the pen, allowing for her to freely flow the tip of the pen across the pages in front of her with no need for breaks to add more ink to it as she took notes of her own diligently.

After a short while, she began to feel her body already putting the nutrients she had put into it thus far to work, which gave her a bit more spring to her once again. She slowly stretched her arms over her head, letting out a faint sigh of relief as her joints seemed to be breaking away the fatigue that had begun to take root from the amount of punishment her body was being put through, but entirely satisfied with the moment of rest it had been given so far. She turned her focus toward Lena as she seemed to question what to do next, blinking as she casually lowered her stretched arms once she was done. "Ah, well I suppose it's up to you. I'm feeling fine, all things considered, so I have no issues continuing if you think there is more we can do. Restless days is something that I'm not particularly a stranger to, but I also know it comes as familiar territory to Medical Ninja, especially those that are in the field.. so I'm ready, at the very least to try my best for as long as I am able."

"Well if you say so. I'm going to go over Medical Pills with you then, in case you do feel burnout you can take one. Namely a Military Ration Pill."

Lena leaned back in her chair, it tilted on it's back legs quite far back so that it looked as though she was going to fall over. However her foot was hooked under the wooden bar that held up the table top so that she didn't go plummeting to the ground and she reached back to a sideboard that was across from them, taking a small wooden chest. The front two legs of the chair clacked against the ground when she returned and placed the chest between them, opening the lid with a single hand to reveal the contents inside. There are an assortment of small round pills in three colours; dark brown, black and dark red.

"The brown one is a Military Ration Pill, they'll replenish abooout 50 percent of your chakra and can pemp your body with stimulants - keep you going for days."

Lena takes a Dark red pill between her thumb and index finger and holds it up to her eye in line with her Left Red Sharingan.

"Dark Red is a Blood replenishment Pill, if you're gonna die from severe blood loss from a wound you can't possible seal up with your passive ability. This is the one for you. And Finally..."

She places the dark red pill down and takes a black one between the thumb and index finger, she rolls it between them - the light bouncing off it at a certain point.

"Soldier Pills. Make you stronger, a lot stronger. Though taking these pills comes at a cost... well if you take multiple of them, you'll experience fatigue or death - don't overdose. Shitty way to go my sweet, you can trust me on that one. Questions?"

Chise watched on with curiosity as the pills were carefully selected one after the other to be brought into a displayed fashion in order to be explained to her in detail to each independently. As she listened, she had suddenly lowered her gaze down to the journal that was resting across the table, taking hold of it and dropping it into her lap as she began to mark new pages within it as if to represent a new section to a different topic than what she were writing about before, now taking down what seemed to be notes relating to the points being made to her. She waited for Lena to seemingly finish her immediate points before lifting her eyes from the pages in her lap to meet her mentor's. "Are these solely intended for the use of the Medical Shinobi they are assigned to, or can they be distributed at their discretion to patients or comrades, if done so on the premise of medical necessity?"

"Indeed, as a qualified medical shinobi you can prescribe your allies these pills."

Lena places the pill back into the box with the rest, closes the lid and slides them over to Chise. Her pills now.

"If you need to replenish them just visit your local hospital, they should have plenty. Or come to me, I'll be happy to see you again."

Lena stands up and gestures her heads to the door, "Meet me outside when you're finished." She walks over to the front door of the Shack and exits, onto the wooden catwalk she takes a moment to look around and breathes out, jumping onto the swampy water - walking onto it delicately and making some space - using her Mokuton she shifts the trees out of the way and makes a square training ring with vines cordoning off the area, the swampy water their floor. Lena stood in the middle, waiting for her student to join her.

Chise listened attentively as Lena finished her explanation, only to watch as she set the box down onto the table's surface and slid it across the isle for Chise to grab onto herself. She held it briefly up in front of herself, clicking the lid back open as if to inspect the pills more thoroughly now that they were directly in front of her. A thought had trailed through her mind; looking back not that long ago when she had become grossly weakened by the blood loss she had due to the open wound in her hand after she had passed out. One of these pills replenished blood in the body, something she could have used not but a short while ago herself. It hardly mattered now, but it was a good example that she could think on for her own experiences that this particular item would come in handy, were she ever to find herself in a similar situation again.

Carefully she tucked the box away into her cloak after having watched Lena exit the cabin. She finished up her immediate thoughts in her notes before tucking the book away as well, along with the scrolls and other materials she had been given thus far as well. She tossed her cloak over herself as she exited the cabin, closing the door behind her as if by simple habit and courtesy before looking out to watch Lena clear away the field surrounding them using what she would recognize as Wood Release.. Her eyes glimmered a moment as she stepped forward from the deck herself, walking casually toward the.. training ring? She looked on toward Lena after inspecting what had been made, moving to take her place in the ring as well. ".. Why do I get the feeling we really should purchase those floor mats?"

Lena almost managed a laugh, "I think Water works fine. Just think of the smell as punishment." Lena took a look around before her eyes fell back on Chise, she was content with their arena - it wasn't like she needed a big area.

"Medical Ninjutsu as you know has it's offensive abilities, we may be able to preserve a body and save it; or we can infiltrate one and destroy it. This next technique is one that can do that."

Lena raised her hands up, open palms facing her in line with her cheeks, an aura of chakra covers the hands - it looks condensed and sharp; like many sharp blades constantly circling her hands. They then fade away and she lowers her arms.

"So, we can use our chakra to cut the body - this technique acts like a Scalpel as is it's name. It was created to obviously be used for surgical procedures. It can create cuts in the body without making an open wound, stops infection. Though of course you can just ignore that and seriously wound enemies. Which I want you to do to me."

Lena spreads her arms out and gestures for Chise to give it her best shot, she then moves into a strong forward stance; left foot forward and fists raised, "I'm not going to let you hit me though, I want you to try and recreate this technique whilst you're attacking me with Taijutsu. Using what you've learned, I want you to cut me twice in specific human weak spots. The first time without making an open wound, and then the second time lacerate my skin."

Sorry for the lengthy delays lately. I've been dealing with some stuff that has had me a bit preoccupied or just otherwise out of the mindset for the roleplay, but I feel like I'm getting a moment of calm again so I'm hopeful I'll be back to regular pace as before. Thank you for being patient. 🙏

I'm also going to assume that this is meant to be a bit of back-and-forth, so I won't try to do everything at once.

Chise's eyes followed Lena as she took her place across from her; assuming something of a combative stance as they explained the varying uses of this particular technique that they have now migrated into. It was a curious spin on what the natural purpose of medical ninjutsu was meant for. To have a harmful application seemed.. wrong, yet she needed to take the scenario proposed to her with a grain of salt and an open mind. If she couldn't quite accept it as a form of causing another harm, then perhaps it was best to perceive it as a means to protect herself, or even someone she cares for. At the end of the day, all ninjutsu can be viewed as is a tool to establish the will of the shinobi using it. It was incumbent upon her to give the technique purpose, and one that she could view with fulfillment.

With a subtle nod of confirmation, she watched Lena finalize her position by elaborating on what it was she specifically wanted Chise to attempt. Slowly she turned her gaze downward to her outstretched hands in front of her. She meant to mimic the same technique that Lena had performed, converting chakra into a sharp and condensed projected coating around her hands for her to utilize outwardly. No doubt it would require significant chakra control, something she'd likely have to refine and practice, which no doubt was the point of this setting arranged by Lena. With a slow inhale, Chise let her eyes shutter closed for a brief moment as she began to concentrating process of pouring her chakra into her hands. She felt them begin to reverberate with the raw flow of energy within them, but surely that wouldn't be the only thing she needed to do. She recalled the method she had used to "examine" the body earlier that day; the outward projection of her chakra in an outer shell that would give her the means to sense without actually feeling; an extension of her own reach through the use of her chakra. She began to put this same method into practice, allowing for the chakra to flow within a confined arrangement around the shape of her hands, forming a cast that followed the outline of her hands. Once formed, she opened her eyes slowly, in the same moment exerting her control over the chakra in the will to see it kneaded into a sharper point at the longest point of her fingers, assuming a sharp and concentrated nature that -at the very least- was well enough of a mimic to what Lena had formed herself, though in a far more fluid and natural manner, which was something for Chise to work on in time.

Her next objective was clear: She needed to attempt a clean "cut" across a predetermined weak point along Lena's body, yet she wasn't meant to actually cause any real damage. To hit, but not to hit.. Surely this was another test of her means to control her own chakra, so regardless of her doubtfulness in her own capability to do so, it'd be something she'd have to develop regardless. With a resolute gaze forward, Chise carefully slipped her right foot forward, allowing for her left to slip into alignment behind it. She raised her right hand forward, holding her left in a steady arrangement down, parallel to her waistline. Slowly she began to slide forward, allowing for her right foot to carry the purpose of directing the pace of her momentum while her left followed steadily. Once she was within an adequate range, Chise lunged herself forward, allowing the carry of her footing forward in something of a near sprint as she approached directly center to Lena. At the last moment before she seemed nearing a forward collision with her mentor, Chise had quickly dropped the weight of her body beneath the line of Lena's arms and to the left. If her "fake-out" method were to work even remotely, it would allow for her to continue her momentum in an unobstructed slide just past Lena's left side where she had arranged her left foot as the forward in her posture, Chise letting a hand follow behind her momentum to swipe at the back of Lena's left knee joint as she settled a few paces behind her, aiming to phase her chakra through the joint, rather than properly utilize it as a means to separate any tissue, as she had been instructed to start with.

Lena watched as Chise approached, chakra was for sure covering her hands - though it was crude. Though still impressive for the girl's first time. Unluckily for Chise however her fake out would not work out too well, her Sharingan could follow her student. Though that didn't detract from the fact that Lena admired her movement and grace. She followed Chise as if the fakeout was not even attempted and twisted her body to the left, whilst reaching down with her left hand to grab Chise's wrist before her hand can make contact with the back of her knee joint. Lena's right hand would grab the back of her Student's head, a fist full of hair. She pulls Chise's up, putting her shoulder in an uncomfortable position where it felt like it was going to pop and tugging a little on the back of her hair to jerk the head upwards; Lena's leg stepped over the student's torso, her legs on either side of her now.

"Your Chakra Scalpel wouldn't be able to create the desired effect looking like that, very good effort on the assault however. It's hard to have an advantage when you rush forward like that, very creative footwork. You've got the chakra to the desired location and shape, just have to focus more on what it can do when it actually strikes the opponent - but sure of yourself, concentrate on the body and tap into the system you could potentially be breaking down."

Lena lets go of Chise, letting her fall on her face onto the Swampy water surface. She takes a few steps back until she was about 2 meters away and cracks her fingers, this time she didn't make a stance and stood there. "Again."

The moment Chise felt her momentum stunted by an abrupt yet fluid moment of transitions that she didn't really have much of an opportunity to retaliate against, she merely blinked forward as she felt her hair pulled up against along with the twisting of her wrist. In an odd way she didn't seem overly uncomfortable or hurt by the grappled state she was in, regardless of the pressure put against her in the process. She let out the occasional disgruntled breath but otherwise seemed to solidify her composure as her emerald green eyes attempted to peer upward toward her mentor as she spoke to her. She considered what it was she had actually been instructed to do; "tap into the system you're breaking down." What exactly did that entail..? Did that depend on what her objective was? If she desired to separate simply flesh, perhaps cut through the chakra system beneath the surface without properly breaking topical tissue? What actually were the limitations of this technique that Lena was attempting to teach her? Perhaps that was part of the point of this particular test was for her to explore it's capabilities and discover them for herself through experimental use..

With a resolute expression, she felt the tension lift from her posture as she suddenly fell downward, her hands immediately planting directly in front of her as she splashed partially into the otherwise unpleasantly scented water directly beneath her, just barely saving herself from going face-first into it. She took in a deep breath despite the smell as she gradually lifted herself from the ground. She felt weighted by the now soaked clothing she wore, an unfortunate outcome but one that she could have predicted would have become a problem if she bothered to have even minimal foresight into the setting she was in. Slowly she paced away from Lena, moving to pull her cloak off of her as she tossed it into a nearby branch that had been formed through Lena's previous techniques. In the same process, she opted to shred her sweater that she commonly sported and was rarely ever seen without as it had also become damp and unpleasant to wear in the given scenario she was in, tossing it over her cloak as well, leaving her in a simple t-shirt and shorts, along with her high-shinned boots she sported. With another slow deep breath, she pivoted along her heels beneath the murky water to turn her focus back toward Lena. Her gaze soft as she seemed to look upon her hands, one gripping around a wrist as she seemed to massage at it lightly as if to work out the tension that had come over it from Lena's original vice grip that she had over it. Scars could be seen lining in a horizontal arrangement up and down the length of her forearms, all varying in size and shape, but most quite consistent in their distance and severity, as well as their presumable age. She seemed mostly complacent with their exposure, partially as though she wasn't even really remembering that they existed. Instead, she finally turned her focus back upward, straight in line with Lena herself..

Instead of taking the time to concentrate her chakra into her hands as she had done before, she seemed to simply held tightened fists, a state that had been the case since she had stood up previously. Looking on, Chise's chakra did seem to surge through her system, but in a way that seemed less prioritized based on the task she had been set with, seemingly flowing through her central system and even into her feet, as if being spread out to cover as much area as possible. The chakra didn't seem to manifest into a physical, projected state from her hands as she had originally displayed. Instead, she kicked off in a forward motion once again toward Lena, moving in once again a similar pattern that she had taken on before. Just as she came within range of Lena, instead of opting for a similar attack as she had tried before, she suddenly hurled a fist forward, though instead of the fist carrying as if to strike at Lena, her fingers released from their tightened state, resulting in the sudden hurling of a glob of dirt, mud, twigs and small rocks in the direction of Lena's face. The material had a faint chakra signature tethered to it, as if it had been infused with Chise's own chakra, giving it a peculiar visual affect that, if nothing else, simply seemed to show up like a black-light against Lena's Dojutsu. In the same instance, Chise's other hand had come up from Lena's side, still tightened into a fist as she attempted to strike directly into her hip muscle, threatening to pierce into the joint with the scalpel technique that Lena was attempting to teach her, yet the fist didn't seem to take on the desired projected effect even still.. Instead, the hand that she had opened to toss the mud at her had suddenly surged with the concentrated chakra she had begun to flow through her system, entirely prioritized into the one hand rather than both, manifesting and sharpening at the tips of her fingers once more in what seemed a far more refined manner, the carried momentum of her previous action following through in an attempt to strike directly at Lena's jugular, aiming to have the scalpel pass through the surface area and cut into the muscle tissue beneath. She had her doubts that any of this would be as effective as she intended it to be, and luckily so, as she didn't actually desire to harm her mentor, yet she knew she'd be treated harshly if she didn't bother to take this seriously.

Lena observed as her student prepared herself for the next assault. Seemed she was loosening up some more, that would be handy. The threaded woman couldn't help but notice the scars lining her Student's arm - her head tilted every so slightly almost unnoticeable. But before much could be said she ran forward. Lena waited for Chise to get really close before slipping into a stance that would block her abrupt pu... AH! Bitch. Lena was suddenly blind as her hand was moving into a defensive position; though just before her sharingan went lights out it read Chise's body language and predicted a faint and her arm had already move to block the strike from the waist, her arm clashing with the hand - not cut? UH!

Lena's hands went to her neck. she clutched it tightly as she spat blood up from her mouth, a lot of it, though nothing came out of where the "cut" was applied. The Blood poured down her chin as she fell to her knees and hit the water with a splash. She was face down, choking out - dying. Blood continued to pour from her mouth and get diluted with the swampy water around her. Lena couldn't speak, she just kept coughing trying to say stuff before -struggling - suffering. She went limp and her hands fell from her neck sinking into the water and so did her body.

"Well done."

Chise would feel a hand on her shoulder as Lena spoke, the body sinking in the swamp would no longer be there.

"Sorry about the Drama and if I worried you, Illusion. But that was all you, good work."

Description: Chakra no Mesu is a special Ninjutsu technique used by medical ninjas. The ninja will focus chakra to their hands. This medical technique then enables the users chakra to transform into small, sharp blades. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular metal scalpels, the chakra scalpel can make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection (although it can also be used to cut the external tissues as well). The chakra scalpel can also be used offensively, although it requires great precision to be effective. Because of this requirement, using the chakra scalpel offensively is highly unusual. In heated combat, even the greatest medical-nin won't be able to exert the precision needed to make fatal cuts, but it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile. Adding to the technique's blade like quality, it also appears to give the user an increased level of durability over their chakra clad hands. The strength and effects of the technique are determined by how much chakra is put into it and how much skill and focus the user has in the technique. Its effects vary according to the targeted body though to cut through strong tissues such as bone, great skill, focus and chakra is needed. The effect can be sustained while the user focuses chakra into it.
Note: Can only be used by Canon Medical Bios or NB Medical Ninjas.

OOC: I don't really know how to work these two techniques into the RP so I'll just have you learn them like this. Here are the last two you can learn - for now. Any Questions?

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This jutsu makes threads of chakra that the user weaves around the target, somewhat similar to those used by puppet users. The threads then embed themselves into the target and connect both the user's chakra flow and the target's chakra flow directly by the tenketsu surrounding their hearts and in that area. Because of this, the heart rate and chakra frequency of both ninjas equalize and become in-sync in the areas surrounding their hearts. Upon doing this, any alteration between the chakra flow of one ninja will affect the other in the same manner. If one ninja dies, so does the other. These threads are unbreakable unless you use a strong cutting jutsu (A-Rank and above). The technique can also be used to keep an ally alive by sharing with him ones life-force and forcefully making his heart beat as it feeds off the users own heart. This technique only affects the heart but as it's the primary organ to sustain life, it can easily affect the targets and user's life.
Note: Only Medninja or Fuuma Clan members can use this jutsu.
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user will charge a special chakra into one of his hands manifesting it as an ethereal pure chakra familiar, resembling a snake. It will then bite the patient, injecting chakra into him. This chakra is designed to render a patient unconscious. The effect takes some time to establish and the patient needs to be still for it to be successful but is very useful to perform surgery, suturing wounds, setting bones straight, etc as it effectively sedates the patient and acts as a general anesthesia. While it can be used in battle, its almost impossible to do so because of the time it takes for the sedation to work and the need for the connection to remain intact until it does work.

Lena observed as her student prepared herself for the next assault. Seemed she was loosening up some more, that would be handy. Chise blinked as her eyes widened from the sudden scene that developed in front of her. She seemed to feel a sudden onset of panic begin to roll through her mind, yet it seemed to be given pause; something about the developing course of events didn't add up, or at least seemed less than.. natural. Perhaps it was her familiarity to dealing with illusions in more ways than one, but it was as though she had picked up a sixth sense for these sorts of things. Though she couldn't outright "know" it was an illusion, it was more like a feeling; something in the back of her mind hinting to her to be suspicious.. As she felt the hand land along her shoulder, she lifted her gaze upward to meet Lena's attention, blinking once before offering a slight nod. A faint sigh of relief escaped her, grateful to have been right in her suspicions of the situation.. "I'm not very good at this sort of thing, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to practice a bit. I appreciate it." With that, the chakra concentrated through Chise's hands had diminished, leaving her to slowly move to rub at her wrists similarly to how she had done previously, then to begin patting down her clothes to try and brush off any dried mud or dirt that had gotten onto her in the process. "So, what's next, sensei?"

The only question I have is in regards to the chakra threads technique: Does the target of the threads have to be a "willing" subject for it to work, or can the user of the technique use it as a means to ensnare or otherwise bind a target in a combative setting?

"Stop, you've been great." Lena thinks for a moment, "Well if you want we can develop more of your other abilities in the mean time, I can help you stronger in other fields? Is there anything you wish to learn between now and the next step of medical ninjutsu?"

OOC: It can be used in combat, the opponent's doesn't have to be willing but they'll probably just go with the cutting jutsu to get out lmao. Also if you want me to train you in Wood now is the time for Chise to bring it up.

After a moment to restful disconnection from thinking too heavily upon anything in particular, Chise finally turned her focus back toward Lena as she began to pose her question into her other fields of study. She lifted a hand to pinch lightly at her own chin, her gaze shifting upward a moment as she begun to ponder what might stand out most to her. It didn't take very long for her to zero in on her next request, given the fact that she had a recent example shown to her of such elements at work from her mentor. "Ah. I've been meaning to study Wood Release lately. I've had some training in it, but only to cover some of the basics, and I've not really had the opportunity to test much of it out, apart from simple dabbling here or there.. I noticed you had used it earlier, to create this arena. Do you teach that as well?"

Alright so I’ll be picking up you’re training for you from this point onward, but I can’t really keep up with these amazing rp you and Never had going on haha. So instead, I’ll be doing this in a OOC fashion as it works better for me when it comes to teaching you. Now then seems you covered everything up unitl B rank; so we’ll be picking things back up from there. So my style of training is pretty much analyzing the technique as much as you can. Telling me how you can use this in battle or not, any questions etc. I will then try to fill in any gaps myself afterwards. Anyways, without any further delay, let’s go. These will be the first two techniques:

( Iryō Suiton: Suika ) - Medical Water Style: Water Mosquito
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A ( -20 damage as the poison is removed )
Description: After using the Tiger seal, the user creates water mosquitoes, that can be used to nullify poison in a target's body. Designed specifically to suck out poison, the user is unable to use anything else while concentrating on the target. Despite being a healing jutsu, the several mosquitoes cause pain to the body as it heals it. This jutsu is capable of removing and countering up to 50 damage done by poison.
Note: Can only be used 1 time per target.

( Iryō Ninjutsu: Chakra no Mesu ) - Medical Technique: Chakra Scalpel
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: D - A
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15 - 30 ( per turn )
Damage Points: 30 - 60
