Let us move on.
For this jutsu, let us step near the lake. I want you to focus your Suiton chakra into the water and then gather up a stream of water. Once you do so, I want you to start manipulating it carefully to start spiraling in a circle.

Standing by the lake I charge the nearby water source with my chakra and I manipulate the water to do my bidding. I make the water spiral and i wait for your next command.

I believe that the wall would hold for a sec and then the vortex would go through it. Honestly i dont truly know what would happen.

Imagine it as a visual battle. The vortex twisting at the wall, twisting away the weakened clay and causing it spin out from the wall. Erosion, almost. But yes, if it does continue, it will definitely make a hole through the wall.
So, now, let's say this process was accelerated. And it was done to an opponent. What would happen then?

If used on an opponent and it wasn't blocked it would most likely only push him back and probably spin him in the direction of the vortex. The force could be enough for fractures or even broken bones at the most, but it wouldn't kill him.

Excellent. However, if you were to be specific and aim that jutsu in vital areas, it could kill the enemy.

Description: the user will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.

For this next jutsu, let's step towards the water. I want you to direct your Suiton Chakra towards the middle of the water. Begin accelerating it in the water, turning it like a hurricane. Start focusing on a certain point like the jutsu earlier. When I throw my poor Bunshin into the water, I expect to see it disappear in the middle of the whirlpool.

*I step towards the lake and and send my suiton chakra into the center of the lake. Then I imagine my chakra in my mind, starting to swirl and I will my chakra in the lake to also spin like how I visualise. This causes the center of the lake to spin counter-clockwise and create a whirlpool, which I keep going and fueled with chakra*

Yes, alright. Very good. Whirlpools work very well if you were to have an on-water battle, but unfortunately, that doesn't happen too much.

Now, for the next move, I want you to guide your Suiton Chakra into the air to cause the environment to become stormy. Next, as you have learned Katon already, please send your Katon Chakra into the clouds and have it mix with Suiton to become oil. Then build pressure inside the clouds and allow it to rain the oil upon us.

*I send my suiton chakra into the sky and using that chakra I cause the sky and air to become stormy, then after it becomes stormy i send my katon chakra into the clouds and I mix it with the suiton chakra in the sky which makes oil. Then using my chakra in the clouds i build up the pressure and I make it rain oil on us.*

Yes...I realize it's raining...
Well, let's say the area we are training on happens to be a battlefield, thus bringing into play the factors of short, mid, and long range.
Where exactly do you rain the oil? Think about how the areas it rain on could become a major factor in battle when you set the oil on fire.

Well in a battle you would most likely use it for Mid range as you dont want to rain oil on yourself especially if you want to ignite the oil. If you rain over the opponent and time it right you would burn the opponent but not yourself.

 

[Adachi]

Hmm...you simply stated range only, and didn't consider the terrain of the battlefield and how it could play a part in the jutsu. Say that your opponent ran into a forest, and you decided to use this jutsu while setting the trees on fire - wouldn't it be twice as effective.
Ah yes, that's one major thing. Timing is also very important in using this jutsu.
Also, this jutsu, although it seems very minor, is a great jutsu since it tends to be in the category of "sky jutsus." How would you use this jutsu, then, in a split second if needed?

Yes it would be twice as effective, but uneccessary as I would use a devatastating wind jutsu that cuts through the whole forest and through the opponent, rather than setting the forest on fire as its too random on whether he gets hit or not. If I dont specify on the trees then they could be big trees and the oil would never hit him or the trees would prevent the fire from getting to him. Not to mention its easier for him to counter if I set the whole forest on fire, rather than using a powerful wind attack.

Sure I guess if I wanted to I could use the oil clouds on the forest then set it alight with a fire jutsu, then I could use a powerful wind jutsu while he tries to put the fire out creating a powerful elemental combo of oil/wind/fire/wood (sharpnel and debris).

This jutsu doesnt require handseals just sending your chakra into the sky and waiting for the clouds to rain oil. While you wait you could get your fire jutsu ready by doing the handseals and builiding up the chakra, then when it starts to rain fire the fire jutsu and ignite the oil.

Very impressive reply. Such details as timing, reaction, weather, sound/distraction and regular measurement are often times missed during a battle.
Exactly. You can also use a small Wind attack to intensify this move when you use it in the forest.
What I meant by "sky jutsus" were that in order to use any jutsus pertaining to the sky, you need to first have the appropriate weather.
You could first use Chakra Sensing Rain, and have a normal Rainfall over the battlefield, and then, suddenly it starts raining Oil and you have already set up the jutsu to burn out the forests or such.
What I'm trying to imply here is that these jutsus just need the appropriate weather conditions, easily achievable, and then bam - any jutsu can come down quickly and efficiently.

Excellent. I want you to begin by using this jutsu: Earth Release: Earth Flow Rampart.
Once you have done so, then please copy the handseals I show you and then release a flow of water from the Rampart, sort of using the same concept as Kisame's Water Shock Wave as releasing a huge amount of water at once.

 

[Atrocitus]

Doing one handseal I send my chakra into the ground and I create a large earth rampart arise from the ground underneath me. Then I do the handseals you showed me and I build up chakra in the throat and mouth, then I spit out the chakra and materialize it into water which flows off the rampart.
