Its tough being the one religion most people hate (With the execption of Islam)

I hate when people generalize christians. if you actually read the bible in a literal translation (straight from hebrew) you will understand why i follow this "religion".

No, what I'd like is for God to leave us the hell alone. I don't want to be constantly worried that the guy with the magnifying glass might decided to point it at us ants if we do something "wrong". As long as I strive to be a decent person and I give God thanks, then what's the problem?

I don't think god is forcing himself into your life/ around you. You can choose to ignore anything that relates to god. We're all going to die one day regardless whether it be god pointing a magnifying glass at us and burning us, or just dieing from a heart attack at the age of 75. You still die in the end. There is no problem at all. Make people happy, make yourself happy, say thanks to god for creating you, there's no problem in the end.

Things are always lost in translation, which is why things get screwed over. I don't think the bible should be read in english, but in hembrew

Every single U.S. president has been openly christian. Christian is the dominating religion our of ALL religions in term of followers. People (if you're a teenager) generally turn atheist, because well that's just how it goes you start to question a lot more and want to rebel against parents, teachers, and the norm. People hate this religion for many reasons but it's the biggest religion so in comparison of course more people would disapprove of it. the more followers= the more disapprovers
the less followers= the less people who give a shit.

I grew up learning that one day, God will destroy all those he deems unfit. I know full and well it may not be true, but hearing since like 5 has caused it to be instilled in me. All I want to do is live a life that allows me to die contentedly, be a decent person and not bother nobody. But, I can't even enjoy being alive because I'm not too fond of religious activities, it's not something I can actively do. I've tried, but it's not happening. I'm scared of God because I don't live how he wants and that's just f*cking unfair.

Well, if you think about it, it kinda IS fair. He created us, we're HIS belongings, and you're allowed to do whatever you want with something that's yours.

Yeah, we could do what we want, as long as it's also what God wants. I love how people think they have a choice when the only other option is torture/death. Some choice, we're just hostages.
