[Discussion] Technically, Sasuke should become hokage.

After reading this chapter, i realize kishi is setting up the stage for sasuke vs naruto
I will keep this thread "fanboy free" , which means i am not going to wank about sasuke and stay totally neutral. I am being serious in this thread

Now i have mixed opinions about naruto/sasuke being hokage.
I think :

Naruto deserves to be hokage (point one)
Sasuke needs to be hokage (point two)

Obviously, Naruto have more chances of being hokage as he has always been at the side of village and risked his life countless times to protect the village and its people. Clearly, when somebody has to choose someone for hokage , naruto is the person which comes first to mind.
He clearly deserves to be hokage. He is strong enough to be called strongest ninja of konoha (excluding sasuke,oro and edo hokages for now) and he might not be smart enough to handle all the paperwork and take big decisions but we have shikamaru for that and naruto's intentions are good and that's what matters.

NOW, i will be taking on point 2 (its going to be a bit lengthy )

I think Sasuke should become the hokage because he really needs to be the hokage. Now we can see that sasuke is not a bad guy anymore, he is similar to what he was before fighting itachi. No, he is even better than that, he wants to protect something .
Now, we all know the theme of this manga, " you are the strongest when you have to protect something" . This time sasuke is not an avenger but a guy fighting to protect. Of course, Sasuke we will see now , would be his strongest form and you know, i don't mean by just power alone.

Now let me explain why he needs to be hokage.

You see, if madara was chosen to be hokage after hashirama, everything in the current manga would be going smooth. No racism towards uchiha clan, no uchiha massacre .. nothing would have happened of that sort.

Even the hokages WANT sasuke to be the sixth hokage.

Now this line can also be interpreted as " Kages messed up the village and i'll become hokage and fix their mess " .
We can only wait for *********** translation to confirm this. (So don't quote me for this. )

The important thing to notice is , only the people from konoha and K11 think it was random for sasuke wanting to be hokage. (a guy who was evil suddenly comes in middle of war and wants to become hokage, kind of surprising for them)
The first hokage DON'T HAVE any problem with it.

The other hokages also didn't show any sense of "shock" or "disagreement " when sasuke said that.

K11 don't know what happened in hokages meeting with sasuke, they don't know about itachi's meeting with sasuke and anything as of yet. They don't even know who stopped edo tensei ...
So, its normal for them to react this way.

We know sasuke have an ACTUAL PURPOSE for becoming hokage unlike naruto , who's childhood dream is to become hokage. Now even i wanted to become the president of US when i was a child but when i grew up i realized that this was such a foolish dream, there is too much work load for the president and too much responsibility to bear , which is just too much for me.
I am sorry naruto fans but lets face it, Its naruto's selfish desire to become hokage and he don't really have a reason to become one.

Also, Sasuke is a very smart ninja, he can also handle all the paperwork and take some difficult decision which a wise hokage has to take. He also knows about konoha's history, how it was formed and what needs to be done. But the biggest problem he has is " he is not acknowledged by everyone" .

Now that Sasuke has decided to "protect" , i think sooner or later, he would be acknowledged by everyone in the war arc as they see him helping naruto to defeat the juubi.

Now you all must be wondering, if sasuke wants to become hokage, he HAS to get acknowledged by everyone. So after all of the evil he has done, how exactly will he repent for his sins and get acknowledged by everyone ? I will go in detail about this matter now.

First of all i want to let you know, Sasuke has something in him which can change people as noted by itachi .

Sasuke have this ability to change people's thinking. There is a certain aura in him which can change people.

The next thing :

AS you all know, the biggest problem the war was facing was STRONG PEOPLE getting summoned by edo tensei which were really turning the tides of the war. It was the biggest problem in the war and the person who stopped edo tensei would literally recognized as a hero.
The person who Undo edo tensei would be the person who saved lives of thousands of shinobi of not just konoha but the entire world.

This is not not what i am saying, this is said by Gokages themselves.

But now again, you would all say , "ITACHI DID IT." "Itachi would get the credit not sasuke. "
I say : NOT AT ALL !!

Itachi don't want anyone else to know about the truth and asked naruto to keep quiet.

So basically, when someone asks who stopped edo tensei, naruto can take name of sasuke only as if he takes name of itachi, he would have to explain everything about itachi and this is exactly what itachi don't want.

So basically, when people know sasuke stopped edo tensei, he would be acknowledged by everyone as a hero who saved shinobi world.
Moreover, he is the person who persuaded orochimaru to summon the kages.
Moreover, he would also help naruto and alliance right now, to protect the juubi.

So Sasuke stopped edo tensei, indirectly summoned the hokages and will now help in defeating the juubi.
So... I think these feats are more than enough for sasuke to get acknowledged by everyone.

To summarize it all,

Naruto totally deserves to be hokage but he lacks a reason to become one. Its just his selfish desire to become hokage, he is already acknowledged by everyone, and thats all he ever wanted. HE can live his life happily even without being hokage.

Even though Sasuke lacks "acknowledgement " which is a primary requirement to become hokage, his intentions to become hokage are good and he needs to become hokage to clear up uchiha's name and "actually" revive the uchiha.
He has a real reason to become hokage unlike naruto.

I think after the war, Hokages and elders will have a "Vote out" for who should become hokage and it will be a "draw" .
Basically an actual conclusion wouldn't come out as of who should become hokage and there would only one way to decide, battle.
In the end, sasuke and naruto would battle each other for the title of hokage and the one who wins would become hokage.

Naruto being Hokage isn't a selfish dream anymore. He has said himself he will change the way of certain clans and protect the village at all cost. The only reason it was selfish is because he was an orphan and tried to get any attention he could. Sasuke's reason is because of how the Uchiha were treated and he doesn't deserve it more than Naruto.

Also, Hokage is the person who have the highest authority in the village, one has to become hokage to make a change.

For example :Tobirama was able to send uchiha clan to outskirts only after becoming hokage...

Secondly Naruto has all the connections due to the friends in all countries he has made where as Sasuke has just made Enemies and one good dead cannot write a million wrongs. Plus if Sasuke became Hokage all the other countries would not be so willing to join in an alliance with Konoha and alliances are import because after all politics is about who you know and who knows you. therefore i deduce that naruto would have to become Hokage in order for the Village to prosper.

So people think sasuke won't be hokage because he is not acknowledged. I think you should understand, sasuke is going to play an important role in defeating the juubi , that alone is enough to get sasuke acknowledged.
I am talking about what will happen AFTER THE WAR .
I think i will edit the OP and go in detail on this topic : " how sasuke will get acknowledged" .

Reread the chapter, it was established by the Konoha 11 that Sasuke can't be Hokage, the village elects the Hokage and they won't chose Sasuke over Naruto.
