We're not saying he can't use two eyes to enhance the power of the ability. We're talking about using two different abilities of Kamui at once.
It's already been stated that people can use DMS to enhance the ability of one of the abilities...

first,nothing in the manga says they can't, I mean when it was stated that 1 MS Obito needs to be tangible in order to warp himself or others, that was because these techs need a solidified body
in order to use kamui on himself ,he needs to be tangible, also in order to warp others using short range version, he needs to touch the said objects first, that means he needs to be tangible

but when it comes to DMS obito/kakashi, there is nothing prevents them from sniping while being intangible, nothing in the manga says they can't even by logic, obito doesn't need to be solidified to snipe, as long range kamui doesn't need solidified body, it only needs a look to a target

not only would that be pointless,(since technically and based on what body part he hits she can just grow back) it would also be detrimental(since she might still retained the ability to fire ash bones through her own portal back to the real world. Not to mention it gives her the ability to attack from both sides)

He isn't locking on to anything when he uses intangibility. And his close range kamui isn't by sight but by touch.
