Elijah makes his way towards the training field, where he would teach a peculiar person. Someone who survived the destruction of their clan. He was somewhat similar to Elijah in that aspect, both growing up with an odd power, an no one to nurture them. Elijah was going to teach him Taijutsu, a skill they were known for, so it wasn't going to be a problem. Elijah wore his black suit, with a dark blue shirt beneath. He carried a suitcase with him, which contained a large amount of scrolls.

"Hello there. I am Elijah Mikaelson of the Ganmi clan. Now, we are here for Taijutsu, what can you tell me about it?"

Kimimaro. But you can call me Superlative. I'll be in your care~

I know that taijutsu generally encompasses hand-to-hand combat and relies heavily on a practitioners own strength and endurance. One can make use of powerful stances to provide a tactical advantage or assistance in combat. While the use of chakra is not required for taijutsu, it can be used to augment its power.

I know that there are different fighting styles that revolve around taijutsu, like the Strong and Gentle Fist styles. While the Strong Fist focuses on dealing external damage -- like broken bones and such -- Gentle Fist involves the use of precise chakra control in order to deal internal damage. On that note, taijutsu can also be performed in conjunction with certain ninjutsu to form a unique collaboration, similar to the Raikage's fighting style or so many other CFS's on this forum.

I also know that the Eight Inner Gates ordinarily regulate the amount of chakra that flows through our bodies, and when opened, they release the restraints on the body, allowing one to bring forth their body's strength to its fullest extent. Practitioners can make use of special taijutsu that they wouldn't ordinarily be able to perform -- though they damage they receive as a result of opening the gates is proportionally harsh.

And that's about it.

"Very good, Taijutsu is as theoretical as Genjutsu, and other fields, but its more practical, which means we won't be wasting too much time talking. Now, I know that you are quite skilled in the art of Taijutsu, but you have to bear with some of the simplest techniques you will ever come across. Anyway, my way of teaching is simple, I will explain the technique to you then I want you to perform the technique against a clone of mine (you can make a scenario, to make things a bit interesting), and then give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and then how you would use it in battle (though we could exclude this, since you basically show this in your performance?). If you got questions, don't be shy to ask.

Now, the very first technique is extremely simple. You will dash towards the opponent, and deliver a simple powerful strike, which is aimed to hit the opponent on the chest. This would cause them to stumble, and perhaps move a bit backwards, depending on the momentum you had when you hit the opponent. So the faster you are, the more power it would carry, also, one has to take into account other bonuses like an Earth enhancement or the like, some CFS' even give a passive boost to all Taijutsu strikes. Nonetheless, do what I explained."

*The technique sounds simple enough, and it doesn't seem to require the use of chakra, so just as you finish your explanation I nod in assent and walk in the direction of your clone. I start off walking normally as I would when leaving my house in the morning to go to the corner deli. As I get closer, I slowly pick up the pace until, without warning, I erupt into a full speed dash towards your clone. I lead off of my left foot and punch your clone in the sternum, putting my body weight behind the attack.*

I couldn't really think of a particular scenario, but I digress. As I said in the beginning, the technique is really simple and straightforward, so it's not easy for me to think of any real advantages. Sorry, but I'm drawing a black here.

As for disadvantages: the technique is straightforward, so it can be defended or avoided in a multitude of ways, so many that it would be troublesome to name them. It also specifies that you hit your opponent in the chest, so it doesn't have a wide range of uses. It seems like something you could do in freeform :x

"Very good. Here you go. Most techniques are indeed simple."

Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will strike their opponent with a strong punch to the chest

"As far as simple techniques go, this is one of them. You will dash towards your opponent, and upon getting close, you will leap up using your non dominant leg. You will then extend the dominant one towards the opponent, aiming to deliver a drop kick to the face. Its simplicity is both useful, and makes it easy to dodge as well, and even counter attack. Use it against my clone."

*Your description of this technique somehow sounds familiar. I'm reminded of a certain enthusiastic, bushy-browed, green jumpsuit wearing youngster and his mentor, though for some reason I can't quite place their names. Anyway, I get a running start, dashing towards your clone as he moves towards me, and leap of of my left leg. As I leap off the ground, I transition into a high drop kick, extending my right leg out forward and kicking your clone right in the face.*

As for advantages, I suppose this technique utilizes your momentum and transfers all of your accumulated energy into your dominant/kicking leg, so if the attack does land, you can deal a fair amount of physical damage. For instance, if your clone was actually a real person, his nose would have been broken and he'd likely be disoriented and have blurry vision from the blood passing through his eyes. He'd be open for a follow up attack. Also, using this attack while shouting "DAINAMIKKU ENTORI!!!" will supposedly allow you to re-experience the springtime of your youth.

As for disadvantages, the technique is very straightforward and therefore quite easy to avoid or defend against. It would probably require an appropriate 'setup' in order to raise the chances of this attack landing.

"Liking the style, great job. Here you go."

Rank: D

Description:A taijutsu attack were the user does a jumping kick into the opponents face.

"Now, for the next technique, you will simply dash towards the opponent. Upon reaching close range, you will deliver a simple rear sinning low kick to the opponent. This is aimed to hit the opponent at the legs, which would cause them to fall to the ground. This causes some blunt damage on its own, and uses the opponent's weight against them. Also opens up some combination options. Use it against my clone."

*Let's give this a shot. I begin by slightly bending my knees before pivoting counterclockwise on my left foot and spinning my body around 360 degrees. I rotate both my shoulders and hips and just at the point in which my back is facing your clone, I lift my right leg up and tuck it into my body in such a way that only my knee is protruding outwards. As I continue to turn to face you, I lean my upper body back and jut my leg outwards, extending it in such a way that I drive the heel of my foot into the right side of your clones rib cage. Just before the kick lands, I would have focused chakra to the sole of my left foot in order to briefly glue myself to the ground and maintain my balance to increase the power behind the kick. Graceful like a figure skater, or something like that, the force of my kick sends your clone flying to his left before dissipating.*

Advantages: If you can successfully preempt your opponent with this attack, their ribs would likely be broken against your kick. Not only that, but it will create an opening to exploit (when the opponent is knocked off his feet by the force of the kick) and you can make the ideal follow up.

Disadvantages: Turning around the way I did utilizes large movements which make it easier for an opponent to interrupt you before you can get the attack off.

"Amazing, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points:20
Description: This technique is a good example of how even simple taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.

"Next is a technique where you will launch a succession of high and low kicks, with a twist. The high kicks are merely to lessen the opponent's margin to react to the low kick. So the high kick won't connect, but rather allows you to perform it as a distraction, allowing you to connect with the low kick, hitting the opponent in the rib cage, and cause quite some damage there. A good example of this type of style, is to look at the fight Hworang from the Tekken series. He had a bunch of feigns, which usually confused me, and he would immediately afterwards, continue with a powerful blow to an area which was unexpected. Use it against my clone."

Aye, sir

*I begin by dashing towards your clone, almost recklessly straightforward in my movements. As I approach him, I perform a high kick as if I wanted hit your clone in the left side of his head with my right leg, all while pivoting on my left foot and turning my body counterclockwise. While the kick is aimed in the area of your clones head, my leg is placed precariously in such a way so as to make it easy to avoid. My body language is telling your clone in an almost enchanting way that he should avoid the kick by ducking beneath it; in this sense, it's almost like a dance of seduction in a weird, kind of surreal way.

Like a fish to a baited hook, when your clone ducks beneath my first high kick, I follow through my initial motion and continue to spin my body around. As I finish the first kick, I bend my knees, place my right foot on the ground and transition into the second low kick, where I continue to pivot counterclockwise, except this time on my right foot. This time I extend my left leg, and as I come around full circle, I drive the heel of my left foot into the left side of your clones rib-cage. The second kick takes advantage of the fact that he lowered his margin for evasion by avoiding my first kick in the way he did. The impact of the kick sends him stumbling off to his right with a few broken ribs before dissipating.*

Advantages: Because of the way this technique works, if the opponent falls for the first feint, then it makes avoiding/defending much harder for the opponent. Using certain circumstances to your advantage, one could cleverly make use of this technique to get an almost guaranteed hit.

Disadvantages: If the opponent is more clever than you, happens to see through your intentions, or avoids in a way you didn't expect, than the feint and follow up attack will have been for naught. Although this technique flows in a quick, fluid way, depending on how the opponent avoids or defends, the user might be left open to a counterattack since these kicks are wide motions that use the entire body (or something like that).

"Great job, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Attack
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points: 20
Description: A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark connecting to the rib cage area. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint.

"Now the next three techniques are so basic, I won't even spend to much time on them. The first one is a simple punch. By clenching your fist, and swinging your arm towards the opponent, you will deliver a punch which can aimed anywhere on the opponent's body. This alows some freedom, and although the technique can be done in free form, it gives you a quantifiable amount of damage a punch can cause, especially when enhanced with speed, or a type of boost.

After that, a slap which is done by hitting the opponent with an open hand. This slap can be done with ease, for comedic relief or even in battle, to hit away weapons and even change the trajectory of an incoming punch. If one is creative, these basic techniques can be quite useful.

Lastly, a kick, which is done by delivering a hit to the opponent, by using one of your legs. As the previous techniques, depending on the placement of the kick, it can be dangerous, or simply to distract the opponent. It allows some freedom as well, and can be used with enhancements, to make for some quick hits.

Now I want you to use these three techniques in combination against one clone."

*As your clone rushes towards me, I begin by slapping the right side of his face with my left hand to briefly catch him off guard and draw his attention away from what comes next; a powerful, low punch, aimed right for his solar plexus. The pain of this blow should reflexively send him to his knees, at which point I follow up and finish with a powerful ax kick with my left leg -- I drive the heel of my left foot into that particularly vulnerable spot at the top/center of his head while he's still on his knees. The impact sends him crashing into the ground face first, at which point, he dissipates.*

How was that?

This alows some freedom, and although the technique can be done in free form, it gives you a quantifiable amount of damage a punch can cause, especially when enhanced with speed, or a type of boost.

If one is creative, these basic techniques can be quite useful.
As for advantages and disadvantages, I don't really know what more to say. I feel like you already summed it up quite nicely right here ^

"Great job, I like it. Indeed, I guess that is pretty much it. Here you go."

Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: N/A
Damage: 20
Description: One of the simplest moves in Taijutsu, the user will simply use one of his hands to deliver a simple punch by clenching his fist and swinging his arm. The user is free to do variations of a basic frontal punch and the technique though simple, can be deadly for strong users.

Type: Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short

Description: One of the simplest moves in Taijutsu, the user will simply hit the opponent with a kick from one of his legs. He is free to choose simple variations of the kick and the stronger he is, the more dangerous the technique is.

"Now, for the last technique of the D ranks, you will simply dash towards the opponent. Upon reaching close range, you will deliver a powerful tackle, which hits the opponent into the ground, causing quite some damage to the lower body of the opponent. Use it against my clone."

*As your clone runs towards me, I get down in a squatting position like I'm on the line of scrimmage. Coming off of my right foot, I proceed to dash at him like I'm a linebacker rushing the quaterback during a blitz. As I come closer, I drop my body a bit, grab your clone around the waist, and thrust my entire body;s weight into him, lifting him off his feet and tackling him into the ground. He falls awkwardly to the ground and the impact causes him to break his ankle.*

Advantage: If it does damage to the lower body, I guess that's good. If you can somehow disable even one of your opponents legs, it should be a huge detriment to them in battle.

Disadvantage: It's remarkably straightforward. It would probably require some kind of set-up, something to occupy the opponents attention to get off successfully. Otherwise this technique is pretty easily avoided or defended against.

After you create your clones, I charge towards the one in white with reckless abandon just before they can effectively form a circle around me. I extend my right fist and punch your clone in the chest. With all of my weight behind the attack, your clone would be sent tumbling backwards with his sternum shattered and breathing crippled, thereafter dissipating.

(Gangeki) - Rock Attack
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 20
Description: The user will strike their opponent with a strong punch to the chest

Immediately afterwards, I can hear the swift footsteps of your other clones closing in from behind. Though I can't see them from my position, I can hear them and guess their positions from their gait. I proceed to pivot on my right foot and extend my left leg while turning my entire body around counterclockwise, driving my left heel into the ribs of the clone in black (who happened to be the first person in the trajectory of my kick). My kick lands on the left side of his ribs and the impact sends him flying off to his right. On his way, he collides with the clone in red who happened to be standing next to him -- the collision sends them both flying in such a way that the clone in black eventually dissipates because of the initial attack to his ribs while the clone in red dissipates after hitting his head in his collision with the ground.

After I turn around completely and reset my stance, I immediately launch a right handed slap at the remaining blue clones left temple, taking advantage of his brief surprise after I sent two of his comrades flying from right next to him. I slap him in such a way that the heel of my palm strikes his temple so that the referral shock to his brain will knock him unconscious/cause him to dissipate.

"I always enjoy your Taijutsu usage. Nonetheless, we now reach the dreaded C ranks. They are quite a few, so we'll be doing around 2-3 at a time. Let us begin. The first technique is quite simple, and uses some physics to work. You will dash towards the opponent, and upon reaching them, you will let your body fall back, and assume a posture where you use your body as a spring. As the upper part of your body falls back, you will bring up one of your legs with extreme power, hitting the opponent below the chin. Its an odd technique, but fairly effective. Due to the way it is initiated, some experts use this technique to first dodge an incoming hit, and using the same time frame, deliver a hit of their own. Effective. Use it against my clone."

Elijah creates a clone that runs towards Kimimaro.

"After that, dash towards your opponent and upon reaching him, deliver an open hand downwards thrust. This is aimed at hitting the opponent in such a way that they fall to the ground directly after the hit. However, it can be used in any way as it allows some freedom there. Use it against my clone."

Elijah creates a clone that runs towards Kimimaro.

"Lastly, dash towards the opponent and upon reaching him, deliver an upwards palm thrust with your dominant hand. This technique is aimed at hitting the opponent in the abdomen, lifting them into the air for a short moment, where you should probably initiate some other technique to finish the opponent off. Very easy to perform, use it against my clone."

I'm honored by your praise ~

Indeed, depending on the situation, Leaf Rising Wind can be used to perform an effective cross-counter.

*As your clone runs towards me, I too dash at him. I visualize frame by frame the movements I'll have to make all the way up to the moment of impact in order to properly execute this technique. As I get within the proper range, I lead off of my left foot -- pivoting counterclockwise ever so slightly -- and simultaneously lift up my right leg and tuck it into my body in such a way that my knee is protruding out. In conjunction with this, I bend my left knee slightly and lean my upper body back in such a ways that it falls closer to the ground. In the next moment, I straighten my left leg and jut my right leg out in such a way that it extends straight up and I kick your clone just below the chin. This attack is done in a few, fluid, consecutive movements that use the accumulated power of my body acting as a spring. The impact of the kick sends your clone flying into the air before he dissipates.*

Advantages: It can be used for a cross-counter, the one that I mentioned before. One problem I've noticed that some people have in Taijutsu fights is that sometimes, despite many back and forth responses, the combatants are rarely, if ever, able to land a single blow on their opponent. A cross-counter is when you attack your opponent at the same time they attack you. By doing this, you risk getting hit by your opponents attack but at the same time, it will be difficult for your opponent to defend against or avoid your attack because they are in the middle of their own attack as well. This technique is good for the cross-counter because, as the upper body falls back, it may allow you to avoid any attacks that were originally aimed at your upper half. If executed properly, it should be insanely hard for your opponent to avoid/defend against and would provide a nice opportunity to land a decisive blow on your opponent in a taijutsu fight.

Disadvantages: If your kick happens to miss, you'll be momentarily left vulnerable as you'd be in an awkward position to defend (seeing as you'd have to reset your stance).

-----------

*As for your next clone, as he runs towards me, I reset my stance and prepare to intercept him. When hes close enough, I quickly perform a low kick with my left leg, hitting your clone on the right side of his right knee. The impact carries sufficient force to cause him to stagger, though not enough to dissipate. As his stance weakens and his body is now a bit lower to the ground, I deliver a downwards palm thrust, extending my right palm into his chest from above. Similar to one of your previous clones, this would break his sternum and send him crashing into the ground beneath him. He then dissipates.*

Advantages: If you can use this technique to send your opponent crashing down into the ground like this, it should put you at a significant advantage; there should be a number of ways you can attack or restrain them in such a position, and there should be a limited number of ways for them to defend themselves.

Disadvantages: I suppose it would be getting yourself into a position where you can build up enough strength in your attack to send them into the ground. Unless your standing a few feet taller than your opponent, it might be difficult to deliver an attack from 'above' without first taking certain measures -- like breaking their stance or pouncing on them from on high like your Ezio Auditore or one of the Assassins.

-----------

As your final clone runs towards me, I turn in his direction and run towards him as well. This time, I run in such a way that my arms are relaxed and follow behind me while upper body is leaning forward. My stance in general is lowered so that my entire body is closer to the ground. Just as I come within range, I lead off of my left foot and straighten my leg to raise my body up. Simultaneously, I bring my right arm forward and jut it out/upward, aiming my open palm at your clones solar plexus from below. The result is that I come up from off the ground and deliver a powerful upward palm thrust, driving it into your clones abdomen -- the impact sends him flying into the air and son after, he dissipates.*

Advantages: First off, a strong hit to the Solar Plexus will do a lot of damage. Secondly, if you can get this technique off, you're opponent will be sent into the air, in which case you can easily follow up. This technique can be a precursor to others like the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf and then the LionCombo/Front Lotus.

Disadvantages: Coming from below may temporarily put you at a disadvantage if you're not careful and the opponent manages to preemptively stop you from attacking by attacking you first.

Description: The user strikes their opponent with an upwards thrust into the abdomen lifting them into the air.

"Now, let us move on to the next three. For the first one, dash towards your opponent and upon reaching them, deliver a simple forward palm thrust. As you cans see, there are three different palm thrust, each one having their own advantages and disadvantages, that you have shown. In this case, this one is simply a straightforward hit, and a friend of mine, the Fourth Hokage, once told me he usually used this to hit the opponent back, whilst simultaneously placing a FTG tag on him, due to the way of the hit. Use it against my clone."

Elijah creates a clone that runs towards Kimimaro.

"After that, dash towards your opponent, and perform a slight jump action once you are close enough. You will then thrust your shoulder towards the opponent (depending on the direction you are coming from, of course) and use the shoulder best suited for the situation, and placement. This allows you to hit the opponent in the chest, and cause him to stumble, or fall back. However, it puts you in a precarious position. Use it against my clone."

"Lastly, a technique which can be used various situations. You will simply deliver a knee thrust to the opponent, by spontaneously jerking your dominant knee, or the one best suited, upwards. This is aimed to hit the opponent in the stomach area, causing them to be staggered for a short while (due to loss of breath etc). It can also be done, to intercept an incoming hit. Use it against my clone."
