Uchihas are superior potential wise. Too bad, and lucky for Senjus, that the conditions of awakening even Sharingan are rare, so most Uchihas didn't even awaken Sharingan, let alone Mangekyou Sharingan. That's why Senjus were superior because Uchihas couldn't unlock their full potential due to unusual and rare circumstances, whereas Senjus have no hurdle in achieving their full potential. If Uchihas awakened Sharingan and MS more commonly, they would've definitely been superior, no question.
