Disclaimer: My training mehtod is different from the methods taught by most sensei and senpai. I do not teach in the rank latter system meaning I do not teach techniques by rank. I teach in a way that emphasises on the relationships of the techniques within each element and you learn techniques based on their relationships with one another which will include techniques from various different ranks piled together. Essentially you'll have to start from the beginning but you won't progress upwards by rank rather you'll progress upwards by the specific methods I teach. I'll explain this more indepth later once we begin training, howeve if you have a problem with starting over, you should try and find another sensei or senpai instead. Though if you're fine with this we'll begin.

Good, Now then I want you to explain to me the following:

  • What is Water Release
  • How Does this nature act
  • Relationships with other Elements (Standard and Advanced Elements)

Hint: What I'm asking for for the second bullet, I'm asking for you to use what you know of water and personify it. Use adj. to tell me your best interpritation of how this nature "acts" And for relationships with the other elements. I want more than the shallow relations of strengths, weaknesses and neutrality. I want you to tell me all of the former as well as how water can be used in conjunction with other elements, and not just the five elements, but other advanced elements as well. For help refer to

Any questions just ask

Water style or Suiton is one of the basic 5 elemental transformation ninjutsu a shinobi can weild. It is the most versitile element out of the basic 5 elements and the damage from water ninjutsu causes internal harm to shinobi impacted with it. Water can change shape according to the user's will and bloodline, if heated to extream tempertures the water can be used as Boil Release. Or if used in conjuction with wind in blood line limits the combination will bring forth Ice. The solid form of water, that can be used to make objects from ice. Lastly in Storm style a combination of Lightning and Water, giving lightning which is usually very direct in motion and cannot change direction, water gives it flexiablity allowing it to turn and curve to make attakc difficut to dodge. Thus saying this, water acts as support and is the main element that react with other elements to change form like Ice or Boil. Or give attributs to other elements like flexibility to lightning.

( Sorry if it seemed liked i skipped around, i just typed how my thoughts came to me ...

This is eh. You don't talk too much on how the nature itself acts or go in depth with the combinations of the element besides the bloodlines. Also, Water is not the most versitile of elements, earth infact is. However, thats mainly due to the substance and how it can be affected and manipulated in more ways than any other element.
_______________

Water is a more or less passive element by nature. It flows freely and takes the shape of whatever it is contained in. I call it passive as it is a yeilding element which goes and flows however the external forces and nature dictate it to. For example; still water will move and ripple at the slightest touch, a river flowing straight will move around a rock and take an alternate direction instead of just going through the rock. Wind can cause water to move in different directions. This is one of the reasons why water, a yeilding element, is opposite to earth, an unyeilding element. That rock in the bank of the river will not move for the water, it will stay firm. If the rock were to walk through the river straight, the water would go around the rock, not the other way around. This is a rudamentary understanding, however water itself can be very powerful and forceful. A large enough mass of water may disroot the rock if strong enough. Water may be condensed to a fine area and move at great speeds to cause a powerful impact. That is where variables come in, which is what any element manipulates, the variables of the properties that can enhacne an element's potential. If you want to look at things in terms of balance, Taoism and philosophies behind water and it's general movement. Water is the Yin half, not forceful, yeilding and water redirects energy instead of meeting it head on. The Chinese Internal styles of martial arts talk about redirecting your opponents force back onto them which is essentially a property of water (the redirection that is). Force is not met with force rather the force is allowed to continue until redirected suddenly, often times against even harder forces that are much stronger. An example would be if somebody were to punch you. They are traveling in one direction at a certian speed. You simpley move out of the way while guiding the fist further in that direction, increasing the speed. Should there be a wall behind them, they make impact with that wall and most often hurt their hand.

Does this help you understand water a little better?

Oh okay.. Water the yeilding element. That makes a lot of since, never would have thought if it being a yeilding element till now even though it seems pretty obvious. Yeah i do understand it better :D

okay then. Now I'm going to break down how I train my students. Now the training style I use is different from most othesr you'll encounter. I use the system which was created and developed by Lili-chwan and Scorps as a way to increase the efficiency of training students. Instead of teaching you 1, 2, or 3 techniques at a time and having go up in the ranks (D, C, B, A, S), We train by grouping every technique in the element into sepreate categories. what decides what technique goes in which category is based on the properties of the techniques have. Techniques that have the same properties will go in the categories, regardless of rank. So for example, in the first method you may learn no D-ranks or A-ranks but learn C, B, and S ranked techniques. You will learn the general concepts behind each of the methods which should give you a good understandiing of how most technqiues are preformed in each method therefore decreasing the need for you to learn every single technique. Now, on top of that I have my own way of going about this method which is as follows.
________________________
Method 1: Basic Projectiles
Method 2: Streams/Water Sources
Method 3: Water Manipulation
Method 4: Alternative Releases (Water/Oil/Syrup)
Method 5: Specifics (Body Liquid)

These are the four methods in this element. From this point on here is what we're going to be doing.

(1) I will give you the method and explain to you, in depth, what the method entails and then allow for any questions of clarrification

(2) I will give you bullet points of words/phrases that I will ask you to define/explain that will show me if you understand this method if I am satisfied with your explanations, we will continue. If not I will have you tweak them.

(3) I will then post all the jutsu within the category with full explinations and then you will have to do the following
~Explain the Advantages of the Method
~Explain the Disadvantages of the Method
~Discuss Strategies you could use with jutsu from this method
If I'm satisfied with these three aspects, we will continue and repeat the cycle from the top.

Any questions?

Method 1: Basic Projectiles

Alright these techniques involve creating projectiles like shuriken or kunai. Shuriken and Kunai are examples of projectiles and are not limited to that scope. When you hear and think of projectiles, you think of objects that you launch or project towards your opponent. They're something that leaves your possession and treavels towards your opponent. There is nothing different when it comes to suiton projectiles. All you're doing is launching water at your opponent as you would any other projectile. Now, with water and any other element that uses projectiles you tend to use a lot of shape manipulation. Reason is, is because you need to make the projectiles strong enough damage your opponent (peirce them, knock them back with blunt force, etc). Water or any other element at its base is just raw unformed element. By using shape manipulation you form the shape of the projectile you want. As well, you also compress the element to a degree which allows for a certian density which is always good. With these water projectiles, you will be exhaling them from the mouth. You will first inhale and focus the chakra from your core and channel it up into you lungs and mouth. You will then exhale; the chakra you gathered in your lungs helps propell the water, and the mouth is the point of release. You use shape manipulation to then form the water into whatever shape you need it to be, whether it be a ball or something more advanced like a shark. The water is also compressed in a tight container (the bounderies you create by shaping it) therefore when it makes impact with the target they'll generally recieve a blunt impact that knocks them back, has the capability to knock the wind out of them, bruise them, maybe break bones or damage the organs and cause shock. Also, if fast enough and small enough, the density from the tightly compressed nature and the speed may be able to peirce like a bullet.

Alright tell me how you would perform the following

  • Create several average sized balls of water:
  • Create a large bullet of rotating water:
  • Create a shark shaped bullet of water:

I make the ram handseal, and focus my suiton chakra into my belly, and also focusing on shape manipulation preparing to shoot spheres of water. I then manipulate the water up my throat, also compressing them into a dense state and use my chakra to shoot the spheres of water with force , impacting my opponet.

I then again channel a larger amount of suiton chakra into my lungs and core, but then i begin to spin the chakra while it is yet inside of me and then manipulate the chakra up my throat after compressing and launching the ball out with a rotating form and impact my opponet.

Lastly, i focus my suiton chakra into a nearby water source, and focus on shape manipulation and size. Thinking on the image of a shark, i then maniplate the chakra in the water to from the shark Tail, Body and all and then making jump and the water and launch toward my opponet.

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.

This has other methods of preforming, but one of them is the ability to spit out small projectiles shaped like bullets. Should have the same speed as a throwing ball.

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water Style: Water Bullet
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Descripton: A large sphere of rotating water that is spit out of the users mouth that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked.

Bigger bullet, slightly faster given the rotation of the water and the increase of power.

(Suiton: Suikoundan) - Water Style: Water shark bomb
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: A water projectile shaped like a shark that comes crashing down on the opponent.
(No water source required)

Similar to the ones above, but has the shape of a shark thus is more hydrodynamic and aerodynamic. It is still essentially a water projectile, so it won't change speed mid-air/underwater.

(Suiton: Teppoudama) - Water Style: Water Bullet
Rank: B
Type: Offense
Range: Short/Long
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user gathers water in their mouth and then spits out a large sphere of rotating water that can blast a huge area leaving it soaked.

Much bigger water shot, faster than previous ones.

(Suiton: Daikōdan no Jutsu) – Water Release: Great Shark Missile Technique
Rank: S
Type: Attack
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 40
Damage points: 80
Description: The user performs Tiger – Serpent hand seals to create a stronger version of the Water Release: Water shark Bomb technique, which creates a gigantic shark, far larger than the user, to attack the opponent. This technique differs from its parent jutsu in being able to absorb the chakra from an opponent's technique, and in turn use that chakra to grow larger and more powerful.
Note: Technique can only absorb up to B rank level techniques.

The strongest water projectile technique. Is basically the same as the Shark projectile I mentioned previously, at a much bigger scale and with the power to absorb weaker techniques without loosing power or speed, which translates in the jutsus being incorporated into the shark (Earth adds debris which increases the tangibility/mass f the shark, Fire heats it up, Water adds more substance/mass, Lightning electrifies it, Wind lowers the temperature and sharpens the edges, increasing speed).
This is from when Lili trained me in water, whe does a better job at explaining these things than I do. Before we proceed onwards with the next task, do you have any questions with any of these technques?

Tell me the:

Advantages to this Method:
Disadvanteges to this Method:
Strategies with Techniques in this method:

hint: for the advanteges and disadvanteges, think about how I explained the method and look at what the jutsu have in common and think of how those qualities are good and bad. For strategies, think of some general ideas of how you'd use these techniques and give me some examples

Advantages in this Method: More techniques are finushed all at once which obviously shows the effcientcy and productivty. And also prevent the over thinking of technqies by comparing them as all the same.

Disadvantages: This method could probably only work for certain elements that have the concept for jutsu.

Strategies: With the techniques learned, by using the Water Shark Bomb Jutdu with the Super Shark bomb. One can inhimbi the opponets reaction to an exstend because if they try to over power the Small shark missle, it will go through a power up the Suppoer Shark Missle. If these two jutsu are used one after another

You misunderstand, I'm not asking you to give me feedback on the effectiveness of this method. We already know the scope and limitations of this method. Ever element in the five basic elements have techniques that are very similar to one another. they are all grouped and taught in accordance to the similarities they have and labled just so as well. By teaching in this way you get: 1) quicker training in comparison to learning every technique 1 by 1, (2) get a better understanding of the relationships of elements and techniques, (3) break down the techniques and understand how to use and defeat them.

what I'm asking you is to evaluate the effectiveness of the techniques you just learned and the good and the bad of the techniques. All the techniques you just learned have various things in common, some good and some bad. What I want you do to is to tell me what those good and bad qualities are. What this will is, it should help you understand how to use the techniques, how not to use them and how to defeat them when used against you.

Do it again and give more details on your strategies, I want more indepth thought

Oh ... Well when you said Method i thought you meant training method >.>

The advantages of the waterbullets, is that they both do not require handsigns, which means a faster use and can be used in really "crunch time" situations. With more damage, with each increased rank and even faster projection when shot and even and increase in range. The disadvatage is the simplicity of the technique, its just a water bullet and nothing more and can be somewhat easier to counter.

Also as for the advantages of of the shark bomb techniques, this is similar to the bullets except with more impact power. Other than the fact that it needs no water source, and the advantage of the S-Ranked version is that it has exstended along with being more powerful and the abilitiy to absorb B-rank and below techniques. Although, the disadvantages are also the same as the bullets of water. But only somewhat, one of the only disadvatages is that when using the S-ranked version the opponet can use an s-rank to cancel the technique out and the shark will not be able to absorb it.

As for the strategies, i would first barrage the opponet with flurry of kicks and punches then jump back and let loose the Water bullet technique to finish and send the opponet flying backward onto the gorund. As for the S-rank shark technique, i would wait until the oopponet shot an B-rank technique like a Fireball. And i would launch the Great Shark Missile Technique, and devour the fireball. makign the shark more powerful right off the bat as it continuies on the crush my opponet with its now heated up state (because of the fireball).

Dont' limit yourself to the examples I had you perform. When I give you those little bullet points, they're simply for you to get an understanding of the generic make up of most of these techniques. However, you seemed to grasp the general concept of the advanteges. Projectiles possess the advantage of being quick in release and travel towards your opponent. When you release them, they are self sustaining entities and often times you can shoot severl projectiles at once. That is the advantage to them. However these projectiles travel in a general pattern/path and are infact easy to evade. As they are self sustaining, you do not have control over them after you've released them.

Now as for your strategy, I want you to try and come up with few more examples, prefferably better ones than that. For one, there is never a situation in this RP where you can successfully let loose a barrage of punches and kicks unchallenged in such a scenario. Even if you were to ascend and become one of the best taijutsu users on the base. Up close combat is one of the more difficult things to manuvour yourself away from in order to successfully let off a combo you suggested. And using water against fire? Well damn that's never been done before *note the sarcasm*.

Don't limit yourself to only thinking of combos with just these techniques. I should've made that a little more clear as well. Try thinking of ways to combine your other skills with these techniques. If you have any other training or if you have any ideas of complimentary techniques from other elements or skills, elaborate on those a little bit. Don't feel bogged down to only using these techniques when I ask you to give me examples
