Advantages: When fighting on water, a number of these techniques can be used to get the upper hand on the opponent especially when one has the water affinity to cut down the number hand seals needed to execute a number of these techniques. Also a lot of the techniques involves separate moving creatures such as sharks to attack the opponent while the user does also.

Disadvantages: Most of the downsides include that most of the techniques require a water source, and some techniques will have to be used as one o the last moves used out of three because of the constant control that must be kept the technique active. Unless a clone is using it.

Strategies: Clones could be used to use a lot of the techniques that require a lot of hand handseals while the original body covers them. Like Water Dragon or A thousand feeding sharks used in conjunction with something like Wave of Inspiration for extra damage on the bite.

Pretty good for the advantages and disadvantages. One thing to add would be that, generally with water battles, you and your opponent are often on the water source, which means you have a direct line of connection to them and that allows you to get to them easier.

Your combinations are insufficient, however. Water clones, if can't be that useful as they can only use up to C-ranked, unless you were talking about other clones. However, in any case the utilization of clones in any case is always to have them as some sort of support to do what you may not necessarily have time for. Try to think of some other strategies

Oh sorry, that's what I meant. Using clones to cover your move while you attack from long range, or from an opposite side. While Water Clones are distracting up close, I could be using a long range powerful technique from a distance. This could also be useful to cover for time, for things like Water Dragon Missile. This is what I meant. Another strategy, also using the Hidden Mist Jutsu to cover up the user and obscure the vision of doujutsu users, and attack with Silent Homicide Technique. Or even using a the 5 feeding sharks as a distraction to use, Giant Vortex jutsu given the fair quantity of sharks would throw off the opponent.

Again, not sufficient. To possess water clones, you have to remain within close range. So if you were to go mid-long range to use another attack, your water clones would disperse and you'd lose your means of distraction. As well the silent homicide+Hidden Mist technique is a rudimentary strategy stressed as a general ability by Kirigakure shinobi. This is nothing more than stating an already common entity. Okay how about using Water Wall in combination as an attack and defense when used in conjunction Wave of Inspiration to keep the opponent in a certain range. Then there the obvious combination of Hidden Mist Jutsu with the Sight Depravation technique too further inhibit the opponent's senses, its a combination nonetheless. Lastly, using a Shadow clone that uses a strong B-rank wind technique, while using Giant Vortex jutsu to spin violently and drown the opponent...

Method 4: Alternative Releases

This method will be easy. Basically these are techniques that create a different substance than the water, however, they still fall within the category of Suiton release. They are liquids that possess different properties than ordinary water, for example: Oil and syrup. Oil is a flammable substance, one wouldn't use this to combat fire but rather fuel it, and with syrup you create a much stickier viscosity of liquid that doesn't necessarily flow as fast as water but it gives a more adhesive property to it.

I would focus my chakra and weave the Ram> Tiger handseals to convert it to Suiton chakra, I would then raise the level and amounts of chakra in my system. I then churn this chakra until it is of a high viscosity and then begin to aim it at an wide scope and spew out the capture field.

I focus my Suiton chakra into the area around my opponent first forming clouds, then intensifying the chakra and turning them black. I the clouds then rain the area in a flammable oil.
