(Suiton: Suishi no Jutsu) – Water Drowning Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After waving the Boar → Dog → Horse → Tiger hand seals, the user will gather a large amount of water to form a large spiraling stream of water. It can be guided to strike a target in a number of angles.
Note: Requires a nearby water source.

This is a simple jutsu that involves you manipulating an already existing source of water, using the four hand seals to help focus your chakra. As you perform the seals, direct your chakra into the pool of water to your left and manipulate the water to spin around and rise up in a powerful stream of water. Aim it at that tree over there *Points to the tree*.

Tell me any creative ways you can think of to use this in battle, how would you go about countering this jutsu and any limitations you can think of aside from the obvious one (needing a water source).

I perform the hand seals Boar → Dog → Horse → Tiger and manipulated the nearby source of water. I raise the water from the pool and shape it into a narrow spiraling pillar. I then direct the pillar of water to attack the tree nearby. The force and density from the water was able to break off the top part of the tree from its base.

Creative combos:

This move isn't really combo friendly as you need to keep your focus on the jutsu throughout the whole attack. However, I can use it after moving earth core to lower the ground, and then use this move to drown my opponent.

I would use the move Mountain Smash to limit my opponent space from his left and right. I will then use this move to attack while he's trap in between two rocks. The only way he can escape is up, but since I can control where this attack goes at any time, he will not make it out on time.

Counters:

My opponent will be left open if he uses this move, so I'll try to attack him while he is gathering and forming the water into a spiraling stream of water. And that is one drawback when using this move, it takes to long to develop and that includes the hand seals. I can also create an earth wall defense to block the jutsu since it's narrow.

Mountain smash is a pretty large and powerful jutsu, rendering the use of this jutsu moot xD You also have to be careful when utilising earth moving core so as to not put your opponent out of range of this water jutsu (mid-range is its limit).

Clones or allies will help to alleviate time-frame issues with your combinations and will allow you the use of more fluent combos xD

(Suiton: Daibakuryuu) - Water Release: Great Exploding Current
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: User creates a whirlpool that sucks any opponent in range underwater.
Note: Must be performed on a water source

By directing your chakra under your opponent (you both need to be on the water for this), you will influence the water to start spinning in on itself, rapidly picking up speed until it forms a whirlpool.

Thoughts on the jutsu; limitations, uses etc...

With me standing on a pool of water, I channel my chakra throughout the water and manipulate it to start spinning around. After a few seconds, I created in front of me a whirlpool that stretches all the way to mid range.

It's a simple jutsu that does one job, and that's to suck the target deep underwater to drown them. It's a good move to use on summons that can only survive in water. It's only disadvantage is that it can only be used on a water source, and your opponent have to be on it to in order for this move to be effective. I assume this move is self sustaining, if so, you can send various attacks at your target while they're fighting against the strong currents within the whirlpool.

A good counter is to launch yourself in the air with a wind jutsu, or get rid of the water source with the antlion technique.

1. Explain what you mean by this, why would you use this on a summon that can easily survive in water? Also not this jutsu is good if you have a group of targets close together... standing on the water source.

2. It is self sustaining only to a point, due to the amount of energy it has, the whirlpool will stick around long enough for you to combo it with another jutsu. If you want to keep it running indefinitely, you'll need to keep channelling chakra to the whirlpool or have a clone do so.

3. Antilion technique, on the water? Maybe not O__O' Scorch can evaporate the water, a more powerful water jutsu can take control of the water source and as you said, a wind jutsu can get you out of the way.

1. I said this because since the summon will be mostly underwater, I won't be able to see it. My reasoning behind it is so I can pull the summon in to that exact location by the whirlpool and temporarily restrict its movement while I attack it.

3. I meant to use it on the earth the water is lying on, so I can use the suction abilities of Antlion to drain the water away. But I'm wondering if that would be plausible?

1. Fair call.

3. No, that won't work as the water would be too much for the Antlion to consume.

(Suiton: Kokuun) - Water Style: Black Clouds
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description:After performing the Ram → Snake → Tiger hand seals the user creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil.

How your water chakra forms a flammable oil... I don't know... it just does O__O

Anyway, perform those three seals and focus your chakra into the sky, to form a black cloud that rains down oil. Feel free to move the cloud around and spread oil over the field... just not me... You'll note the oil is flammable, adding an extra point of damage and danger to your opponent.

How would you use this in battle?

I the string hand seals Ram → Snake → Tiger together in a precise manner and gather my Water chakra to my hands. I look up and focus said chakra at an exact location in the sky and created a black mist that slowly form into a cloud that hovers 5 meters above the ground. I then clench my hands into a fist and disperse the cloud which resulted in a large amount of black flammable oil to splash on the ground and spread out.

How would I use this in battle? There's only use and that's to either surround your target with the mist or oil to further increase the efficiency of a Fire technique. The way I would utilize it in a battle is to create a trail of oil from where the cloud was made (short range) to the target and release the rest of the oil on the target. You will then grab a explosive kunai and toss it at the oil trail. This combo will also work better if you use a simple clone to control the cloud because your target isn't going to stand there as he watches the cloud come towards him. He would either have to attack you or the clone, but suffer from getting drench in oil (you as the free person will either defend your clone or yourself from his counter). Or, he can focus his attention to the cloud so he can get rid of it, but will leave him open to attacks. That's one combo I would use with this jutsu if I was in battle.

How do you think you could use this jutsu against, say... a user of Sand ninjutsu?
I would most likely use it to douse the sand with oil so it will be near impossible for the user to control. Setting the oil ablaze would be pointless because 1, it will evaporate the oil which will give the user back control, and 2, according to the strengths and weakness of sand, fire barely have any effect on sand.

Moving forward...

(Suiton: Takitsubo) - Water Release: Waterfall Basin
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Boar → Dog → Ram the user creates a waterfall by developing spring water in a place without water veins and manipulating the resulting water current to form a wave. This is a very convenient technique as it can be used for training or relaxation. On the other hand, because it changes the environment on a large scale, it also has the effect of hiding one's location from the enemy by confusing them. The width of the water source, waterfall, and basin can be expended, as long as the user continues to send chakra in.

Perform the three hand seals and use your prowess with water chakra, to push up the ground (using water to push it, not earth chakra) to form a cliff, the size of your choice. While you do this, further manipulate your water chakra to form a basin as the base of this cliff while you create a large water source at the top of the cliff... Now you have a water-fall! Yay!!!!

Main issue with this is the time it takes to form... While it is a good source for other water jutsu. Such as the water clone, of which you shall now make one!

(Suiton: Mizu Tsurudan) - Water Release: Water Tendril Bullets
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will manipulate one of their water clones to dissolve back to water and turn into four pointed projectiles that shoot at the target.
Note: Must create a water clone before hand.

With the newly created water clone, manipulate the water within it to fall back into a a formless shape, before quickly forming four spears to shoot our from the central mass of water, spearing your target.

Those three dots...

I walked up on top of a existing cliff and sat at the edge with my legs crossed. I perform the Boar → Dog → Ram hand seals and felt a rush of chakra release from body. The chakra covered the middle part of the cliff, 5 feet to my left, and materialized into a large volume of spring water rushing off the edge of the cliff. The force of the water hitting the ground created a basin of not much dept but with great width. I stayed in the same position I was before and focus on pouring more suiton chakra to the cliff so the flow of the water will continue. No where in the description does it says you can create the cliff yourself.

I safely made my way down the cliff by focusing chakra to my feet as I walk straight down its side. I then walk towards the basin and quickly form a hand seal to create a water clone by using the basin as a source. The clone stood by my side for a few seconds before I reserve it back to its original state, but as a small puddle of water as it is not part of the basin. With the flick of a wrist, I quickly form the puddle of water into four spears that are just as lethal as a real tangible one. I directed the spears back at the basin where they came from and released them all at once.

Yes, I use those three dots a lot... it's called an Ellipsis and I don't actually use them the way they are intended xD

Yeah, there is an earth jutsu, or used to be. I'm getting old and out of touch with the jutsu list. For the point of training, you performed the jutsu as needed. I really could have left it out since it is basically useless unless you want to use it for aesthetics...

For that second jutsu, don't forget that you need a water clone already in play.

(Suiton: Mizu Yashiken no Jutsu) - Water Release: Water Palm Blade Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will first strike their target with couple of punches and kicks them lifting the target into the air and the user will then concentrate their chakra into their palm and then swinging their arm in a arc they release chakra creating a cresent blade of water that strike the target.

Use some freeform tai, remembering that you can still do damage with freeform tai... and it can be interrupted easily too... lifting the opponent into the air with said freeform strikes. Then focus water chakra into your hand, waving it in an arc to release a crescent of water.

( Suiton: Mizu Hashira Suiryoku no Jutsu ) - Water Release: Water Pillar Thrust
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will manipulate their chakra and then they create water to rise up from the ground beneath the target lifting them into the air.

A supplementary jutsu, quite a useful one at that... Focus a concentrated pool of water chakra under your opponent, creating water that suddenly shoots the opponent upwards into the air, much like you would if it was a solid earth pillar instead.

( Suiton: Haretsu sui Yashi ) - Water Release: Water Bursting Palm
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: After making the ram hand seal the user generates water around their right arm and then by thrusting their arm forwards they release the water in the form of a projectile bullet that drives through the opponent pushing them back several feet.

Form the ram seal, channel and create water around your right... or left, don't know why it says right arm specifically... then make a punch motion to release a water projectile about the size of a baseball that would shove back your target with blunt force.

For all of those, think of some uses in combat for me, as well as the usual stuff you do for replies.

I summoned a shadow clone onto the field so I could use it as a practice dummy for the technique I'm about to do. I ran towards it with a right jab in the solar plexus, and followed it up with a swift upward kick under the clone's jaw with my left leg. The kick was powerful enough to send the clone flying backwards in an arc, so I took this time to gather some suiton chakra within my right palm and release it towards the airborne clone as a crescent blade of water.

I summoned another clone onto the field to be used as a dummy, and then proceeded to gather some suiton chakra to my feet in preparation for the next technique. I then infused my suiton within the ground, and manipulated it to go to go towards the location that the clone is standing at. I further manipulated the chakra and manifested it into water, and forced it to protrude from the as a narrow upward stream of water that sent the clone airborne. Can I use this jutsu on myself?

After performing the Ram hand seal, I gathered to my right arm some suiton chakra, and released it around my arm as water. I got within a stance that expose mostly the left of my body while I formed a fist with my right hand at shoulder length. I stepped forward with my right leg and thrusted my right arm forward, and released all of the water in the shape of a medium sized ball so my opponent will feel the full effect of the technique.

Yes you can use water pillar thrust on yourself as it seems they removed the damage from it.

From now on I want you to respond as follows: Follow any instructions, perform the jutsu and discuss your thoughts on the jutsu including things like advantages/disadvantages, uses, as well as the answers to any questions I pose etc.
I don't want lists, instead I want coherent sentences... seeming as this is a text-based RP, building this skill is of more benefit than templates etc. You'll learn more through discussion, sometimes I'll address points you make, other times I won't.

All good? That's what I like to hear... moving on.

( Suiton: Seisuiryū ) - Water Release: Azure Water Stream
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user will create a moving body of water beneath him that travels towards the opponent carrying the user. They then slash the opponent with their sword multiple times.

You must be registered for see images

Sword drawn.. or kunai or other random blade... You create a small body of water underneath you, with a radius of you outstreched arm (room for one to stand on) which you direct to flow towards your target, carrying you with it. You then slash your target with your bladed weapon.

( Suiton: Nagareru no Muchi ) - Water Release: Flowing Whip
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user first kneads chakra in their mouth and then, placing their hand on their mouth expels water in the form of a whip which they use to lash their opponent, sending them flying backwards.

You must be registered for see images

As the jutsu says, you expel water out into your hand that you place over your mouth. You use shape manipulation to keep the water in your hand and form a long whip that you can... well use as a whip xD By flying backwards, assume it is sending them backwards out of short range, so into mid but no further.

( Suiton: Shawā ) - Water Release: Showers
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: The user condenses water vapour in the air above them to generate multiple projectiles of water which shoot at their target with a great amount of force and speed. The user can also shoot a barrage of small water projectiles directly from the swing of their hand.

Releasing your chakra into the air you, focus it in the desired spot to draw vapour out of the air, condensing it into large drops of water that you'll forcefully propel (using your chakra of cousre) towards your target. The water condenses short-range from you with a mid-range reach for the projectiles. Or... or you can swing your arm and release sharp drops of water from your hand, of course forming an arc of water projectiles.

don't know if this picture helps O__O'

Water Release: Azure Water Stream

I grab a kunai from my pouch and gathered some suiton chakra beneath my feet. I summoned a small body of water beneath me, and then moved forward while riding it through chakra manipulation. I used the Kunai that was already in my hand and slashed the air from left to right.

The only good use I see for this technique is using it to avoid techniques that are either coming from above or below me. This is a bad technique to use because you can't use any type of ninjutsu while riding the wave, and it only moves in a linear path. Your opponent can take advantage of this situation by using a ration technique that can paralyze or force you to cancel it midway to defend from the incoming ration technique.

Water Release: Flowing Whip

I gathered some suiton chakra to my mouth, and then knead it until it was ready. I placed my hand over my mouth, and used shape manipulation as I spit out the water in the form of a whip. I then used the whip on a rock nearby and sent it flying all the way back to the lake.

It's a good technique to use if you want to deflect kunais and shurikens, but other than that it's not a technique I'll be using. You can't use any ninjutsu while in possession of the whip, and it can only reach up to short range. It can knock your opponent back into mid range if CQC isn't your strong suit, but that's pretty much the only good thing see in this technique.

Water Release: Showers

I use my suiton chakra to create water vapor above my head, and then condense the vapor into water projectiles that I sent towards tee nearby through chakra manipulation. Next, I used the alternative to the technique and swung my right arm from left to right to send a barrage of tiny water projectiles in an arx like manner.

This is a nice jutsu to use while in the hidden mist technique, so that the water projectiles will be masked by the mist. Of course you'll have to posses some type of sensory ability or use the rain tiger of will technique to track them. It's quick and easy to use with no drawbacks whatsoever. However, can I create the vapor above my head and then use another technique, and then come back to this technique at a later time in the same move?

No, the second you move onto another jutsu you lose control over this one. As soon as you change what you want to do with your chakra, the technique collapses and the vapour no longer has any chakra in it. Thus you've wasted chakra without doing anything with it.
That being said, in mist you would have a slight increase in performance speed due to there already being concentrated vapour (mist) present.

Now, if that answers your question, we can move on. By we, I mean you and Akasha... who will be taking over your training for me .__.
