By the old RP system, I mean the one everybody is having nostalgia about. The RP system we have now is moving on forward, when I think it could function moving on backward. I know I wasn't here for it, but so many people actually had fun back then, and just liked it much better than this one. One such problem that could be solved is the strict rules on some stuff that wasn't around (circa. 2009), such as this whole "Broken System" debacle. The whole issue wouldn't be served, but it would've been easier for people to deal with the elements (Ink, Smoke, etc.). One last thing is the RP system was much more active than this new one, and I know the new, new one always could solve this problem, but it's a bigger gamble.

But this is my thoughts, what do you think?

Nothing, but I just am doing for the people who want this and know about it.
Well I can't be done. The RP is changed accordingly to the new powers and abilities that show up in the Manga. If RP went back to what it was with the powers of this day and age everybody would have a Uchiha bio with MS, Gates, Curse Mark, and OP modes. or something of those sorts.

Well, hypothetically, stay with me here, wouldn't a battle of two people with equal skills be more interesting, than say a person who joined now vs. someone like Goro Kaguya?

To be honest, the system isn't the problem. It's the people. As a person who was around back then, this current system is a VAST improvement to the old system. It's world's easier to get ahold of a sensei no matter how many people still insist on complaining about it, things are balanced to the point where RPers can go on relatively equal footing amongst each other, getting bios approved and having a bio test organized are extremely easy, and plenty of other reasons.

So why did many people, myself included, enjoy NB more a few years back? It was the people in the system. Not everyone complained about everything that wasn't completely clear or justified, and trust me, if you think that there are unclear rules, or corruption, or favoritism, anything else unfair now then I know for a fact that you would hate almost every aspect the old system.

Basically, the system is fine; much improved actually. By no stretch of the imagination was the old system better in any way except for, possibly, being simplified in some ways. It's the whining that's the problem. I know that plenty of members must have said this before. But it's true. RP back then was more about screwing around then being... so serious.

And like Daemon said, it can't be done anyway. Not only is there no way that the mods would throw away all of their work that is the result of about three years worth of slow developing to get it to the point where it is now, nor should they, but seeing as a thread was just made speaking out against overpowered members... yeah. The old system brings up the possibility of more corruption, more favoritism, and as a result more members angry at the staff for being unfair.

Every 'old' RP system is the same. It's roleplaying with a rank... No system... You pick abilities and what not... Then go for gold, with the object being to have fun and not insta-kill people.

i disagree. not everyone is familiar with it and learning a new system could lead to less fun, which is the opposite of the rp's purpose. its best to leave the current system, but put make it more fair, by fair, i mean not needing mere permission in order to be OP

Well, another thing I was going to add, was to keep the assorted training and bio works, and try to modify the battle system itself into the old one, cause it was funner than this one.
That's why it WAS fun. Anyway it is to late to go back now. The guidelines have been etched in stone.
