PUPPETRY
Puppetry is a form of theatre performance that involves the manipulation of puppets[wood made dolls]. It is very ancient, and is believed to have originated 3000 years BC. Puppetry is the process of animating inanimate performing objects, it is used in almost all human societies both as entertainment in performance and ceremonially in carnivals. Most puppetry are used to give the viewers a vivid image during storytelling.
Puppets have been used since the earliest times to animate and communicate the ideas and needs of human societies.

In the ancient days, puppets were made mostly of wood, clay and ivory and had strings attached to them while in modern days there are now many variety of materials in which puppets are made ranging from foam to plastics also the strings needed for manipulation has being partially replaced with a hole under or at the back of the puppet.
In ancient times, a puppeteer had to master the art of pulling strings and was hidden behind the scene while nowadays a puppeteer has alternative ways to manipulate a puppet and they are usually right there in the scene some even go as far as communicate with the puppets, in modern days a puppeteer skill involve expert movement of their upper arm and less lip movement.

PUPPETRY TECHNIQUE
The Puppet Technique is a unique ninjutsu fighting style; that uses chakra threads to control puppets. There is an unknown number of chakra threads needed control a puppet but master puppeteer use few chakra threads than regular or beginner puppeteer.
This technique has few weaknesses: the Puppet Technique is a long range style, meaning that the puppeteers are weak against close range fighters. Secondly puppeteer use his or her hands to manipulate the puppets, if their hands are disabled, then the technique can be neutralized. Thirdly the puppet's movements are based on the mechanisms that were installed inside, interfering with the mechanisms can stall the puppet. Fourth weakness is while controlling the puppet, the user is wide open if the opponent bypasses the puppet. Fifth weakness is that a puppet's movement is dependent on the will of the user and as such there will be a time gap between the user's commands and the puppet's response.

PUPPET
Puppets(傀儡,Kugutsu) are weapons used by puppeteers in combat. They are most often humanoid-looking creations, but depending on the creator, the puppets can resemble anything. They are designed in a such that the puppeteer can use every part of the puppet as a weapon, giving the puppeteer a myriad of ways to manipulate it. Puppets are long-ranged type weapons that can be used offensively, defensively or for supplementary reasons, and are controlled through Chakra Threads. Due to their design, the weak point of any puppet is its joints. There are two types of puppets: ones made from material such as wood and the others made out of Human [Human Puppets]. Famed puppeteer Sasori of the Red Sand was the inventor of human puppets.
Known users of this puppets are monzaemon chikamatsu, chiyo, sasori, setsuna,, fu, mizuki, kankuro etc.

(Karasu) Crow

Description: Crow is the very first puppet we see in the series. It was created by Sasori, but is later used by Kankurou. Crow is a three eyed, four armed humanoid. Crow is one of the more basic puppets, but he is able to detach any of its body parts for deadly attacks, almost every joint having a blade at the end, allowing Crow to shoot his arms towards the opponent, and then have them return back to it. Even his head has a blade that can be extended out from the bottom of its neck when detached. This ability made it and Black Ant a very deadly combination. It also has the ability, like most puppets do, to release poison-tipped darts and smokescreens, which sometimes have poisonous gas mixed with them.

Description: Black Ant, created by Sasori, is a puppet that is often used in conjunction with Crow and, later on, Salamander. It has a bucket-shaped face with two red horns and a total of six arms. It, like Crow, has three eyes. Its body resembles a very large barrel, and it is hollow on the inside, making its main use to be that of trapping, while weapons enter the many slots on its body. At any time, Black Ant can literally open its stomach, and trap an opponent, able to extend the two halves of its stomach so that it stretches out and over the opponent from a very fair distance (approximately mid range) and then retracts the stomach back to its original form, closing it with the opponent inside. Its arm segments contain hidden saw-blades. Like Crow, Black Ant can detach its arms for attacks.

Description: Salamander is a defensive puppet, though not on the level of defense as that of Hiruko. Salamander, as its name suggests, is built in the form of a large salamander, being one of the largest puppets seen thus far, and though it is not more powerful defensively than Hiruko, it is larger than the other puppet. Salamander is able to rise up a large area on its back to be used as a shield, making a black shield over its head. It, like some other puppets, is hollow, and it can open its back at any time and then rise up its large tail over its head, stretching it out and therefore allowing the puppet user to jump inside of it for protection. Salamander can also spew out fire equal to C rank. Salamander can only be destroyed by one who knows its weak spots, being a weak joint on its side that holds the shield in place and afterwards simply striking it on its back, or by a move of A rank or higher.

Doing the jutsu
✗ Sasori walk upto a puppet, he take his time to seize up the puppet, pitiful, observing its various joints and structures he stretch forth one of his finger, he begin to release chakra through its fingers he make the chakra line up in a thread pattern then manipulate it to connect to various parts of the puppet, using the attached chakra from his fingertips to the puppet he cause the doll to stand upright. He further exercise the chakra threads by making the puppet to move about.

Description: The user jumps up in the air and then manipulates crow to release several smoke bombs towards the enemy target blinding them in the process.
Note: Can only be used by a Suna puppet user.

Jump into the air and use Crow to release several smoke bombs at my clone so she gets blinded so you can attack her with crow.

(Kugutsu Kemuridama no Jutsu) - Puppet Smoke Bombs Technique
Strong points
✗ The user is at a safe distance from the smoke bombs.
✗ The crow can go as faraway as the user desire [short - long] making it a sure hit since the user can keep manipulating the crow to follow the target.
✗ the puppet is not affected by the smoke bombs
Weak points
✗ The puppet is slow and as a result the opponent can easily divert or return the smoke bomb to direction of the user
✗ Being in the air make the puppeteer a easy target and the puppet attack expected.
✗ An opponent that doesn't depend on sight to battle would not be affected much by this e.g a sensor bio would still be able to pinpoint the puppeteer and his puppet.
Combination-strategies
✗ Combine with wild dance technique, I would use the smoke to blind the opponent then use the crow to strike my target
✗ Combine with puppet: scatter shot technique, I would the smoke to conceal the invading kunais.
Ways to counter this technique
✗ Blocking the outlet on the puppet for the smoke bomb would work.
✗ Wind release: gale palm would send both the puppet and the resulting smoke away.
Doing the jutsu
✗ Sasori form chakra thread and connect it to the crow I thought I gave this crap to kankuro, my memory is foggy... Didn't I or did i, he wave that suspicious idea out of his head then turn to face "your" clone, feel my art, fake one as he say those words he jump into the air to gain an overview of the terrain then with just one finger send the crow toward the clone in mid air, at close range he tick his index finger , the puppet stop on its tracks such its current position would be it hovering at a close range to the clone, the crow then stretch forth its four wooden arm and eject smoke bombs from its wrist toward the clone, the smoke bombs fall from the sky and explode once they make contact with the ground or the clone and result in a huge cloud of dense smoke.

(Kugutsu Gorotama no Jutsu) - Puppet Scatter Shot Technique
Strong points
✗ The kunais are numerous making it hard to deflect all
✗ no advanced movement of fingers, a simple flinch of one of the fingers should execute this move
✗ the puppet is usually at a safe distance so no fear of losing your puppet just yet.
Weak points
✗ The kunais can only travel up to mid range with enough force to cause damage
✗ The view of the puppeteer to the target is blocked by the barrage of kunais
✗ The kunais have no extra/additional damage if the kunai hit the target
Combination-strategies
✗ combine with "Killing Intent" to cause the target to remain in one place for better accuracy.
ways to counter this technique
✗ An earth elemental wall would block the kunais
✗ if you have irregular speed boost like EIG, you can counter this assault.
Doing the jutsu
✗ Using his chakra thread connected to the crow, sasori control the crow to get in an attacking position, he control the crow to face the clone, setting the clone on target then he command the crow to release many kunais at a fast rate at your clone from its various outlets. The kunais would rain down on your clone and destroy her

(Ranbu no Jutsu) - Wild Dance Technique
Strong points
✗ It enable the puppeteer to be on the offensive, the main advantage to this is the user would get more free space and time to perform more complex moves while the crow keep the opponent busy.
✗ The spinning of the puppet make it hard for the opponent to see the arms/weapons of the puppet if fused with the attack.
Weak points
✗ This technique offer the crow as distraction/bait which for me I consider a bad plan, one should always secure their piece in battle.
✗ It is short ranged
✗ The base speed of the crow can be easily observed by an average ninja so it best to use this as a sneak attack.
Combination-strategies
✗ Combine with kenjutsu: chakra spinning blade, am not sure if this is possible but the thread attach to the crow are made of raw chakra thus my believe of these possibility. Using this move would increase the damage points
✗ Combine with puppet whip combo to finish off the target.
ways to counter this technique
✗ Wind release: gale palm would send the puppet back to the user or derailed
✗ Cloud Style: Front Beheading to destroy the puppet.
Doing the jutsu
✗ Closing up the crow's outlet, sasori extend out his arm controlling the crow to sped off toward its target[short range from the puppet], sasori ensure he has his eyes on the event at all time; once the crow got within range to its target sasori swing his index and middle finger in a circle pattern, this would cause the crow to assume a rotating motion such it would spin in a clockwise direction on its sides and still be moving forward, using this motion the crow strike its target inflicting damage

(Kyū Karasukuchibashi) - Sudden Crow Beak
Strong points
✗ It is a fast technique reason being that it require less the effort compared to moving the whole puppet
✗ The user's view is not disturbed by this.
✗ It is not easily countered since the opponent is already on the move.
✗ This is one of the few moves that break time-frame in NW and still be valid xD
Weak points
✗ Due to large size of the crow's head, an average nin can see it coming.
✗ The crow's head travel in a straight path to the target making it easy to evade
Combination-strategies
✗ combine with Puppet Whip Combo for the final blow.
✗ combine with Puppet Scatter Shot technique; it wouldn't have much significance toward damage point but it increases the accuracy of the technique.
ways to counter this technique
✗ Considering you already on the move and the range, D rank elemental wall would block the crow's head from proceeding further.
Doing the jutsu
✗ Sasori again flinch one of his finger causing the crow's head to detach from the body, as the crow's head detach from the body, a sharp short blade will come out from the bottom of the head[the base of the neck] then with that same finger he shoot the crow's head at a target board short range from the puppet with the blade in front, the blade would pierce into the red colored section of the target board. Afterward, Sasori return the head back to the body.

Description: The puppets arm will pop out in four different directions in almost an umbrella-like manner. The arm segments will surround the puppets hand, and from those segments, chakra will emit, each one making one fourth of an entire circle, making a shield of pure chakra.

Use your puppet and have its arm pot out in 4 different directions like an umbrella and use your chakra to have chakra emit from those 4 sections making a shield of pure chakra to protect you from ninja tools.

✗ The maintenance of the shield doesn't require additional chakra just stamina.
✗ As shown in the anime, the user can still go ahead to perform other puppet technique with this technique active.

✗ It stand as a barrier between the user to the opponent as a result the user would have to put it off in order to get close range to their opponent.

✗ Using Wind release: gale palm to disable the puppets arms hence bring down the shield

Doing the jutsu
✗ Sasori detaching his chakra thread from the crow, re-attach it to a puppet that match the requirement to perform this technique, using his finger tips sasori manipulate the puppet to extend out its four arms such they be opposite of the other, that is if one arm is facing east, the second is facing west, the third is facing north and fourth facing south, sasori further manipulate an action on the puppet were segments located at the forearm will open up and spread out mimicking the arm positions i.e the segments been four in number are facing opposite of each other too. Sasori then use these setup to form a chakra shield by first releasing his chakra through the opened segment along the arm of the puppet then shape manipulating the released chakra to gather around the arm hence forming a chakra shield in the process, sasori maintain the shield for a time before canceling it out

Description: The puppet will open its mouth wide, unleashing a torrent of senbon. All of the senbon are poison-tipped, meaning that a single hit by one could be deadly. These senbon can shower the opponent for as long as the user wishes.

Have any of the puppets open its mouth and have it release a torrent of senbon that are poisoned so when it hits my clone and hurt him.

(Senbon Ame) - Endless Rain of Senbon
Strong points
✗ This technique can be used to immobilize an opponent if aimed at vital area like the legs
✗ The mechanism is simple thus can be performed in a short period of time.
✗ The range is up to long[wide].
Weak points
✗ The rain down of senbons usually cause a smoke screen to occur which would temporary block the user's view of the opponent.
✗ If the puppet is removed beforehand this technique become void.
Combination-strategies
✗ Combine with water release: hidden mist jutsu to conceal the senbons.
✗ Combining Puppet Scatter Shot Technique with this technique would increase damage points and better chance of a fatal hit.
ways to counter this technique
✗ Wind release: gale palm would send the senbons back to the puppet.
✗ Earthen wall would block against the continuous release of senbons.
Doing the jutsu
✗ Sasori manipulate his chakra thread causing the puppet to rise up and open up its mouth, Being familiar with the puppet mechanism he tilt the body of the puppet resulting in a production of showers of senbon toward your clone, the senbons would be laced with lethal poison that when they hit your clone, it would start to feel the effect and pass out afterwards.

(Doku Kemuri) -Poison Smokescreen

Description: The puppet will open its mouth and shoot out smoke balls that are imbued with poison as well. This can be used to obscure the enemy’s vision and to spread poisonous gas in the area at the same time.

Have your puppet open its mouth and release smokeballs that have poison smoke so that my clone's view is blocked while he inhales poisonous gas.
