Clearly gotenks wins. You would think people would use basic logic and say, "if goku couldnt beat fat buu, whereas gotenks was on par with evil buu who is way stronger than fat buu. Doesnt that make gotenks the winner by default or easy speculations?"Plus "skill" doesnt really matter in dbz. As long as your power level is stronger than that of your opponents. Skill really holds little to no value. And going by the opponents that goku fought and that gotenks fought, which in this case are buu. It can be caculated that gotenks power level is way higher. So there for makes gotenks the winner.

no he wouldnt ssj3 goku pl was only slightly higher. he was still barely a match for majin buu. super buu stomps majin buu easily and ssj3 goku. gotenks stomps super buu, ssj3 gotenks stomps super buu easy difficulty

Most of the replies here are outrageously wrong. Boo Saga SSjin 3 Goku doesn't stand a chance against Base Gotenks (post-training).

SSjin Gotenks (pre-training) was stated to be stronger than SSjin 3 Goku, and no one denied it after Gotenks was formed. Piccolo thought SSjin Gotenks would get decently stronger in the RoSaT, but turns out to be totally wrong. He was a lot stronger. He didn't expect SSjin Gotenks (expected, post-training) could beat Super Boo, but after witnessing Base Gotenks (post-training) formed, he said he could have a chance.

Base Gotenks (post-training) > SSjin Gotenks (expected) > SSjin Gotenks (pre-training) > SSjin 3 Goku.

No need for SSjin 3 Gotenks at all. However, if EoZ Goku is being used here, it will end up differently.

EoZ Base Goku was implied to be close to his Boo Saga SSjin 3 incarnation, at the very most as strong as it or a little above it. Let us say he's nearly as strong. The chain would end up as this.

Base Gotenks (post-training) > SSjin Gotenks (pre-training) > SSjin 3 Goku ~ EoZ Base Goku.

Still, Base Goku is weaker than Base Gotenks. So if both of them were in SSjin 3, the gap would be the same. Gotenks would most likely defeat him at that point, but there's a slight chance that Goku could take this.

Both in their prime at the end of DBZ, Goku obviously wins and there is no explanation needed. However, if the creator of this thread specifies at what time in DBZ they go up against each other then there's some thinking to be done.

SSJ3 Gotenks was equal to Super Buu easily. It was implied that SSJ3 Goku and Vegeta would have gotten beaten by Super Buu. Also SSJ3 Goku pretty much stalemated with both Fat Buu and Kid Buu. Gotenks wins.

Boo Saga Gotenks would still beat End of Z Goku. I only said Goku has a slight chance because of his skills, but I don't think it will be enough here.
