Because of his experience and most probably he wouldn't he even start with that form he will most likely fight in ssj2 since has mastered that and can easily be on par with ssj3 almost similar power levels like majin vegeta and he even held his own against kid buu in ssj3.
On ssj1 + extra power ups he held up pretty good against brolly.

He didn't lose to Super Buu he was still a child and his personality and ego got the best of him and his fusion time wore off right before he was about to kill Super Buu (plot of course). Also, Super Buu is much stronger than Kid Buu. Way stronger actually.

Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed) is the MOST POWEFUL form of Majin Buu... Note, Goku alone CANNOT beat Super Buu..
He's able to kill Kid Buu alone, only thing that made Kid Buu SEEM more powerful was that he was dangerously unpredictable as Super Buu had intelligence, and actually cared about the prospect of battle before destroying his opponent, Kid Buu originally goes for PURE destruction.


Edit: Nah, Gotenks take it.. It's DBZ xD Skill doesn't matter all too much, the power gap is all that matters.
