Speed = In this case i'm referring to the "Shunshin tech" and "ftg"

Reaction = in this case it is the ability to react to something.

Most people on the Base tend to believe that people with high speeds also have the highest reaction time. While notice that reaction and speed are 2 very different things.

In fact, in the manga reaction is the counter to high speedsters. Otherwise we would have blitz everywhere.
For example, the common misconception of Minato having the highest reaction time. But this is not true. Killer B was able to react to FTG something that is considered instant. Tobirama was able to react to Obito, but he wans't able to counter him.

There is a clear difference between having the ability to react vs countering, most people think its the same thing, however countering requires SPEED AND REACTION TIMING. If you attacked me with a high speed punch, and I couldn't even lift a finger against you, that would mean I wasn't able to react to it. However if you attacked me with a high speed punch, but i touched you while you did that (notice i didn't say counter or dodge) that means I reacted to it.

Minato was able to dodge Ay's speed because of his jutsu, he has the reaction , but more importantly SPEED. However, in Killer B's case, he had higher reaction content than speed.

If you are confused:

What I'm saying is, most Kage level ninja have the same reaction time, they simply do not have the speed of Minato or Naruto to dodge attacks of Ay and etc, however if they choose to they can do something else besides dodging.

Kishimoto has made it so that people who have high speeds are kept in check with the reaction times of others.

Yes those people are rather unpleasant, like how Kakashi couldn't use raikiri since his reaction time couldn't support his speed.

Although I agree with your concept, I wouldn't exactly say killer bee reacted to ftg, he simply analyzed the situation he was in and though the most obvious location Minato would likely ftg to would be behind him which prompted him before hand to have his sword ready, imo.

Well if you look at it from how its portrayed, it seems like Killer B reacted to it.

Though yea i can see what you mean, since he had the seal on him and etc. But no clue if he was able to sense that he had the seal on him.

very nice. but one could also say that minato also has top 5 material reaction speed even top 3, but in any case his reaction speed is so high that it rivals the sharingan.

I like the mention of Tobirama. Mind you that was the first time Juubito used any type of speed, and he was caught off guard. He also could have took use of his Edo body as he tagged Obito 4 times [3 paper bombs, 1 Hiraishin].

Even if he knew about it he would've needed FTG at best to counter it, I doubt Minato and Tobirama could dodge with FTG also. But none the less he reacted to it quite easily.

Material reaction speed? what do you mean?

So do you consider predicting a move and reacting to something the same thing?

Because I think what Killer B did is more so prediction rather than reaction. It seemed like Killer B predicted Minato would be behind him and just had his knife facing backwards, which makes sense seeing as he just witnessed Minato's strategy with FTG is to appear from behind since that's what he did to Ay.

In truth had Minato still wanted to stab him and avoid Killer B's blade he could've done so as I doubt Killer B can thrust his arm backwards as fast as Ay can move with lightning armor. And since Minato technically haulted his attack (which means he actually reacted to Killer B's counter strategy) that also means there wasn't an attack for Killer B to react to. I think he just anticipated where he was going to be, which may seem like reaction timing but I don't think it really is.

Like if I'm pointing a gun at an open door waiting to blast whatever walks in the doorway, I'm not really reacting to anything. Killer B more so just had his "gun" (knife) pointed at the door

**Edit** I'm not downplaying Killer B btw. What he did showed he deserves 5 stars in the battle intelligence department. I just don't consider it a feat of reaction

From the manga we saw no indication showing killer B predicted it. Because from the panel sequence we see Minato having a kunai to B's throat and then the next panel we see Killer B's kunai at Minato's stomach. It shows an on the spot reaction. Because him knowing the seal was on him and etc haven't been shown.

Actually, Ay's lightening armor is mostly increasing of foot speed.. there are many shinobi in the naruto-verse that have shown faster/quicker arm work than Ay.. Plus, according to the manga Minato and Killer B were at a stalemate so most likely Minato wouldn't have been able to kill B like that.

Clearly you don't know the meaning of the phrase you use.

Me saying I don't remember it = me caring for it? Did i ask you to provide me a scan?

By your logic, Killer B's reaction speed is greater than juubito because he reacted to something instant?

Question:

1. How can someone react to something instant when pulling out the knife or kunai takes movement and time? Meaning, by pulling the knife, B has to move and movement requires time. Your logic states that B's movement speed pulling the knife out is faster than instant.

This question alone dumps your thread!!

Call it ANTICIPATION rather than reaction. B anticipated that Minato would teleport to him. If we are talking about reaction then B is not in the level of Minato or juubito
.

If B can react to something instant, why can't he react to something like this?

He was not able to react to the raikage's attack when raikage was infront of him.

Reread what i referred to speed as. The samething you guys refer it as.. shunshin.. aka blitz.

Sorry, but there are plenty of shinobi who have shown more quickness with their hands than the top 5 speedsters.

1. That is something shown in the manga, so the manga would be considered dumb not me. Minato appearing on the spot is instant, but not him taking the action of putting a kunai on Killer B's neck.

Provide scans of his anticipation.. when the manga shows they had no clue killer B had the seal on him..

Well the page that actually shows the moment Minato got behind him if different than the page you are referring to. The one where Minato says "I can not fail". You see a bead of sweat dropping down Killer B's face as if he were startled, and then dialogue between Ay and on of his subordinates, which shows that considerable time had passed and Minato had not moved to attack right out of FTG. Then the next page is the page where you see Minato look down, Bee holding a knife, and then saying if he goes, Minato goes too. Since it's still picture we don't know if Killer B's knife was drawn out before or after Minato teleported, so it's up to whoever is reading to decide for themselves I guess.

Also in reference to Ay's lightning armor, I wasn't saying Ay's arm work vs Killer B's arm work. I was saying I doubt Killer B can thrust his arm back as fast as Ay can's foot speed in lightning armor. I say this because Minato was able to react and dodge Ay's foot speed in lightning armor from point blank, leading me to believe if he really wanted to kill Killer B and come out unharmed he could have. The guy I quoted below me also gave a good response to what I'm referring to.

Anyway I do agree with the premise of your thread. Reaction and speed aren't the same thing. Prediction/Anticipation is something different too
