He had come quite a long way.
Yu Narukami was chosen (whether out of admiration, desire, or pity - he didn't know, nor did he really care) to be an assistant to one of the many senseis that were training a new generation of shinobi. Like most greenhorns, Yu took his position quite seriously and wanted to make sure this new experience would be as pleasant for his students as well as himself. Fully equipping himself in his shinobi attire, Yu made his way to the outskirts of Konoha, where his first student was waiting. He smirked a little at the application. He was going to train a good friend of his; this was going to be fun.
The wind was whipping through the forest and Yu's clothing and grey hair, instilling a certain tranquility to the atmosphere. Upon reaching the clearing where he was to meet his (very first) student, Yu then stood across from Penguin, and they both nodded wordlessly.
Picking up a rock, he began dribbling it between his feet, much like a soccer ball, keeping focus on the rhythm and not allowing his stance to yield. He spoke to Penguin.
"Hello, good friend. Let's make this fun, shall we? I know from your application you've received some training before, but let's start over. Come, dribble this rock with me. Just be careful not to break your toes."
"But anyway, let's get to it. Why don't you tell me a little about Doton, some of its properties, strengths, weaknesses, and personal motivations for wanting to master this element?" He said, passing the rock to Penguin with a good kick.
