Given the topic and how we're supposed to be grading the sensei I choose Oro over Jiraiya. I LOVE Jiraiya as a character but as a sensei I strongly believe that Orochimaru was better because of how well he trained Sasuke and developed his Jutsu. Over the timeskip Sasuke learned Chidori true spear, Kirin (Though it was not shown yet) and how to manipulate chidori through his weapon. Naruto was only shown to have developed his shadow clones a bit more (im assuming, no proof here) and learn a giant rasengan. :/

cool at least you explained your choice properly :), but your talking about how great you will be (a legend who his students produced legends) so by that logic wouldn't that make JIRAIYA the best i mean one of his students is THE CHILD OF THE PROPHICY, the savior of the entire shinobi world .... what do you think ??

No, that would make Tobirama the best because Tobirama taught Hiruzen, who taught Jiraiya. Kakashi taught Naruto, too.

As a sensei, he should teach the students
1) How to use the chakra.
2)how to learn to be a good person.
3)how to guide them have brief.
4)how to improve their students.

Ok, it seems so complicated. Let me try to make it simple for you guys

The simple way to determine who is the best sensei: Who can teach his students to have a powerful chakra & Jutsu.

with those requirements, anyone who is a sensei duhh
else they wouldn't be called sensei's

Madara. Look at what he did with Not being able to move, or really teach....
within a few months he took a little disabled kid and turned him into one of the most powerful beings in the naruto universe.
Yes his MS ability helped out but w/o the harishima cells and his training on how to use them he could not have been even remotely close to doing what he is able to do.
Controlling multiple tailed beast
Saving/preserving his MS eye with the cells
giving him instruction on how to improve his physical state to a point he can really take a beating
leaving him the demonic statue w/zetsu
lessons on how to manipulate people
taught him how to pull people into this illusionary world
(assuming) lessons on how to look through his other eye and ignazi
and probably even shared his vast pool of knowledge of other villages jitsu.

Everyone sleepin on Gai sensei?

All I'm seeing is, "C taught D, then D taught E, then E taught F, so C is the best sensei ever."
or, "Lets look at who C taught. C taught D, E, F, and G, who all ended up being super strong/kage..."

Lets disregard the chain teaching for a second here. A sensei can only be responsible for whoever he himself taught. What his student does after that shouldn't be counted towards that Sensei.

Lets also not give so much weight to the number of students a sensei has had because that would make Iruka the greatest Sensei in Konoha... Honestly, most of those students (and im referring to Jiraiya and Hiruzen specifically at this point) taught themselves. Granted Hiruzen instilled "The Will of Fire" into Jiraiya, and in turn Jiraiya instilled it into Minato and Naruto, that alone doesn't make a top notch shinobi. A sensei has to be able to make their student powerful, as well as put their student on the path of a shinobi.

All that being said, I don't think anyone is a better example of an excellent sensei that Maito Gai. Gai took Lee, who was hopeless in ninjutsu and genjutsu, and treated him as if he was his own son. Who can honestly say that when Naruto first came out, they didn't think Gai and Lee were related?

Gai took Lee and molded his abilities as a shinobi; making him one of the best taijutsu users in the series. Gai took Lee and instilled "The Will of Fire" in him as well. Gai taught Lee the importance of hard work. Gai taught Lee that never giving up is what makes a shinobi great. Gai taught Lee that friendship is more important than anything to a shinobi. Gai has made Lee one of the most righteous ninja in the entire series... He not only made Lee strong in body, but he made him strong in mind and character as well.

I would choose Miato Gai as my Sensei any day.

I'd say Madara.. he had Obito on par with Minato in an extremely short period of time with the handicap of rehabilitation from getting smashed. Now thats an incredible feat as a sensei.

EDIT: wait.. if were judging by teaching their students to be good people why is Madara or Orochimaru an option?

Kakashi! Because Jiraiya spent alot of time doing research more than teach.

Jiraiya or Hiruzen

This one right here. i am in full agreement with Bijuu master. Hiruzen trained the 3 sannin, and in return, Jiraiya trainined the 4th hokage, Tsunade instituted the use of having a Medical Ninja in each unit, Orochimaru....well...everyone makes mistakes. This one nearly brought down the Konoha but still; if raising a powerful shinobi is the requirements, then yeah Sarutobisama definately succeeded.

Orochimaru because he taught Sasuke so much. Jiraiya taught Naruto like one Rasengan variation. He didn't really teach Konan, Pain, or Nagato either.

Nagato - Had Rinnegan, he would have mastered the basic five nature transformations anyway.

Yahiko - Hardly even taught him anything.

Konan - I don't even know. xd Konan's paper Jutsu is her own thing.

Enough logical arguments though; We all know Itachi's the best Sensei, by default.

Yeah, that's what i thought. Otherwise i'd pick Orochimaru, look at Kabuto, Sasuke, Kimmimaro. Kabuto had to be taken down by haxed sharingan moves and Kimmimaro died due to disease, and Sasuke's still going strong.

I would say Jiraiya but he was killed by one of his students.

Tobirama is the best IMO. He taught Hiruzen and the elders, and with them Konoha was peaceful and prosperous for like 30 years. He also sacrificed himself for his team and Danzo's team.

If the quest were who is the most successful Sensei ( student wise ) it would be between Orochimaru and Kakashi. Aside from their individual skill they both trained some bosses because they were both trained by bosses.

Sasuke was trained by both Kakashi and Oro, and I would say even though Oro taught him more, Kakashi pretty much taught some of the strongest ninja ( Naruto and Sasuke ) in all of Konoha. Kakashi used effective methods and taught complex techniques (S-rank). He taught Sasuke chidori + raikiri and helped naruto develop futon rasengan + FSR. Looking at Naruto and Sasuke I would say Kakashi was successful in training string ninja. Kakashi gets credit becasue they were both apart of team 7.

Orochimaru was evil so yeah.. Words of opinion may be controversial he was a damn good Sensei. He trained Kabuto who if it weren't for a young Naruto, would have killed the Fifth Hokage. Itachi was the only person ho could defeat Kabuto who had achieved sage mode and somehow was the one who Resurrected the real Madara, and had all the power in the war on the side opoosing the Allied Shinobi forces. His edo-tensai was the only thing challenging Allied Shinobi. Oro also trained sasuke, a sasuke who was strong enough to even beat Itachi ( though we shall assume Itachi wasn't trying to kill him ). Sasuke is pretty much a mini Madara, does anyone disagree?

This explains why Jman, Minato, Kakashi and the 3rd ARENT no where near the best and shouldn't get a vote. They've failed their student at one point in time unlike the others listed.
