That was the number one possibility, after that was Oro. But Hamura turned out to be good in The Last.

Well, the latest interview Kishi said Oro and Kabuto will appear in part 3, and with the Obito-like guy going Super Danzo mode, we can safely assume Oro was the one to give him the boost. If this leads to Oro becoming final villain, it will be the last chance to get Jashin explained. Jashin is either Oro, or completely fake and just some sort of bloodline limit for Hidan. If so he'd erroneously believe he was born with the blessing of a demon and be convinced to join a sect in a desperate attempt to explain his near immortality.
