The whole dam second half of the manga was about bringing back sasuke and naruto becoming hokage.

what's the point of surviving extraction

whats the point in surviving a stab to the heart

what's the point of fighting to stop IT then undo'ing IT

IF THEY STILL DIE LIKE A DECADE LATER -_____-

Wasnt naruto going on about bringing peace??

Wtf peace only lasted a blink or wink.

Madara told them good, that turmoil would spark.

But they insisted "we'll intrust it to the next gen etc etc."

They fought so hard and obito.nagato. and Madara tried to tell them good.

when they finally got peace you know what happen?

this happen.

Obviously they had to either kill or incapacitate both of those characters so the next generation can get their shine on, it's not surprising considering if they both were alive there'd be no threat that could stand against them.

I'm still trying to understand where it is stated that Naruto and Sasuke died, maybe i'm missing something but "Send you to the same place where the 7th.." means nothing to me.

You are wrong. It is Kishi, he is "super-supervising" all of this.

No way that little meatsucker could take Naruto fairly.
I smell bs or him sending Naruto literally to a different dimension

No! both of their contract expired. No more future roles for them

Thank you and Kawaki solo's.

So begins KawakiBase.

OT: new gen, new character series, what'd you expect?

You leave the old timers alone and the series would die rather quickly. The only people who would stay were the ones from Part 1 as it will just be solely for nostalgia purposes.

Also you're somewhat correct. But it was a bold move which is a direct 360 when it comes to Kishi's writing. Kishi played it safe as heck when it comes to characters. The only one that he risked was Neji as he was an old time favorite, which has had a great impact.
and Itachi. J-man too but everyone who were forgotten simply existed in the background. None of them died a horrible death.

This time we see the MAIN characters from the previous series apparently dead (dunno how to read asian but that's what everyone else seem to say so I'm going with it) right off the bat.

At least we know that this guy has already came up with some great contents if he's starting with that.

Kishi is acting as a supervisor to the series and considers the Boruto serialization to be part of the main series.

On topic, it's sad that Naruto has died, but it can work if his death is done in the appropriate way. Naruto dying might lead the way for Boruto and the next generation to take up the mantle and change. Kishi as a writer has made it clear that no such thing as a utopia exists. That's why Naruto, even as an adult struggled with the answer to true peace.
