Yeah, I already know that NH isn't developed. In fact, none of these parings are developed. The only legitimate pairing that is somewhat developed is Minato and Kushina and that's because they proved to each other that they loved each other.
If Naruto were to have flashbacks and visions about Hinata during the manga then that would definitely crush any chance the NS fans had at ever supporting their ship. If you would realize by now, you would notice that Kishimoti doesn't like to tell things until the very end. Spoiling Naruto's hidden deep deep deep feelings for Hinata would lower the taste of the pairing wars and it would drop many readers interests.
Regardless if NS had some close hints teasers, it was never really serious. Kishimoto was just trying to get people hyped so they could have a reason to finish reading his manga. If Kishimoto gave away Naruto's feelings early on then the story would be ruined before it even ended.
