When you think about it, Naruto knows how to destroy the Chibaku Tensei, and combined with Sasuke, they could destroy it easily. Madara was trying to distract them while he was casting Infinite Tsukyomi
Yes but Madara shouldn't know that they knew the technique. He wasn't around during their battle with Edo Nagato. The point is that he shouldn't be able to control who or what is pulled up, anything and everything on the ground should be affected.

Another plausible solution is that they used their chakra to stick to the ground.
Possible, but that would have been easily explained. Even considering this, everything happened so fast that I don't think this was the case.

They were out of his range and it looked like he wanted to crush them not pull them in based on his words.

both are the most plausible explanations i've seen. More to the point, ppl seem to have forgotten about the ability ninja have to stick to something using their chakra lately.

as someone said above....! i don't think CT pulls shinobi up...! it pulls the earth up and we haven't seen a single person being pulled up in it's 3 uses now which weren't standing on a rock...! i don't know why but i had it on my mind for quite some time....! CT always pulls the rocks up and not the person itself... that's why no pressure was exerted on any person when CT was used and shinobi used techs without much problem... while we see when naruto was pulled towards nagato, he couldn't use any tech to save himself because of force but CT is clearly different....!

Not a logical explanation. Madara gave no warning of using the tech and no one except Naruto had seen the tech before. Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi had never seen it before and Kakashi admitted he had no idea what Madara was doing. That gives them no time to react by sticking themselves to the ground. There was no explanation by Naruto and Kishi gave no explanation as to how they weren't sucked up.

Simply not true, I countered this point above.

Six tails Naruto is clearly sucked directly to the surface of the satellite and later stands on it as if it were a planet. This means he is being directly affected by the gravitational pull. Don't try to tell me that the satellite is big enough for it to create gravity strong enough to pull Naruto in, because its not. Clearly its the gravity emitted by the technique that is pulling him in.

Floy, stop being a jerk and overlooking everything people say just because you dislike the direction or do not understandit. You're looking for logical explanations and we're giving them to you. Kishimoto does not need to explain a long already used aspect throughout both parts 1 and 2 over and over.

In red, the rocks underneath Gaara and Lee are moving, which forced them to retreat. Team 7 on the other hand are still on the ground because no rocks are moving beneath them. This either indicates they are either out of range or moved themselves as well. Madara also states "these raindrops will be harder to handle than you're used to," indicating he wishes to crush them, not suck them in.

In blue, if you check out the scale of all the stones, they are all large boulders, not pebbles, indicating CT follows the laws of gravity where objects of the greatest mass rather than smallest are pulled in. The smaller stones in the previous panels are a result of being on top of the larger ones or breaking off of them.

The CT stone is not a satellite as it is within Earth's atmosphere, not outside and Kyuubi Naruto is standing on a stone and being hit by the other stones, not being sucked in himself.

i said it is a plausible explanation. Meaning it is not outside the realm of possibility and it's not outside the realm of possibility since Madara gave them warning when he told them those "raindrops" were going to be harder to handle than they thought. That is warning enough. If they had the presence of mind to counter those CTs the way they did, then you can stop acting like they were completely caught by surprise.

They weren't in a dissimilar position than Naruto and Bee were when Nagato was made to use CT. Objects of larger mass were the ones being sucked in immediately and not the human bodies.

Simple fact is Madara simply does not care to defeat them. Whats the point if he has already won by casting his genjutsu?

Until now he has in his own words been "playing" if he had wanted to he could have done this chapters ago.

If you hadn't noticed he created those rocks to keep them occupied.

Using Chibaku tensei on a grand scale probably wouldn't have worked anyway on Naruto or Sasuke...ultimately to defeat them both Madara would actually have to "try" something he has quite obviously not wanted to do. And why bother trying? He can simply put them all in genjutsu in his mind.

About why everyone wasn't sucked up? Simple answer is this:

Kishi doesn't understand physics. Nor does he understand how gravity works.

Ergo for his artistic license nobody was effected by what would have been huge tidal forces.

Either that or you can argue that Madara selected areas of open rock to pull up lol.

I think you are misinterpreting some of my purpose with my responses. I'm pointing out the inconsistency going on here, its something becoming more and more common in Kishi's work. You are one of the many that will defend Kishi to the end, which is respectable, but you overlook many things. Saying they are out of range is not logical when boulders in almost direct contact with them are moving. Saying laws of gravity are in order when larger objects are attracted does not make sense. If an object is within the range of it gravitational pull, its going to be sucked in regardless of its mass.

I call it a satellite because I was likening it to the Moon, you don't have to take the term so seriously. You say that Naruto is only being sucked in when he is standing on a stone. Please explain this:

He is not being pulled in by a rock. Rather, he is STANDING ON THE ROCK. This means the gravity is directly affecting him. Again, this is largely a matter of consistency, which is something lacking in the manga lately. We each have our compelling points on the matter.

Where did the larger body thing come into play? If something is within the gravitational pull of an object, it will be sucked in regardless of mass. There was differing sizes of gravel being pulled up and that is explained by sheer randomness. There is no reason Naruto and co. shouldn't have been pulled up with them.

I still disagree that they had any idea what was coming. They were all very shocked when the Earth started moving around them.

And I believe you are full of crap.

No, you are pointing out something you do not understand or do not like that others do.

Lol no. Do not throw the fanboy card at me to convenience you. Not an hour ago I was a on a criticism thread revealing the criticisms I have for the series. Do not assume or generalize me. You do not know me and you never will. And clearly you overlook things as well. Do not sit there on your pedestal acting like some deep, all knowing all seeing author or critic and degrade me. I won't tolerate it. So far, you are in no way respectable.

Saying they are out of range is not logical when boulders in almost direct contact with them are moving.
There's no basis for that. The rocks moving beneath Gaara and Lee and not them and Madara stating the rain will be hard for them is more than enough evidence that they are out of range. Seeing boulders in the air in front of them holds no ground because you do not have a far view of them so do not play the "logical" card with me either.

Saying laws of gravity are in order when larger objects are attracted does not make sense. If an object is within the range of it gravitational pull, its going to be sucked in regardless of its mass.
"Newton's law of universal gravitation states that any two bodies in the universe attract each other with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. (Separately it was shown that large spherically symmetrical masses attract and are attracted as if all their mass were concentrated at their centers.) This is a general physical law derived from empirical observations by what Isaac Newton called induction.[2] It is a part of classical mechanics and was formulated in Newton's work Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica ("the Principia")"

I call it a satellite because I was likening it to the Moon, you don't have to take the term so seriously.
I do because you have the term completely misconceived and are carelessly abusing it. A satellite is a single mass outside a planet's atmosphere orbiting it. The CT is a force that pulls objects of the same mass in, covering it in boulders. This does not make it an actual moon or satellite. The moon is a large piece of the earth that broke off when another proto planet hit it 4.5 billion years ago and over the billions of years became spherical through the influence of its orbit.

You say that Naruto is only being sucked in when he is standing on a stone. Please explain this:He is not being pulled in by a rock. Rather, he is STANDING ON THE ROCK. This means the gravity is directly affecting him. Again, this is largely a matter of consistency, which is something lacking in the manga lately. We each have our compelling points on the matter.
He's standing on his feet, is outside the stones and is using senjutsu. He's using chakra to stick to the stone.

What you regard as inconsistent is subjective and subject to different comprehensions and correction. And do not lie and say my points are compelling. You are conveniently and invalidly bypassing each one without so much as attempting to debunk them. There's no intrigue in that, there's only ignorance and disrespect and it makes me ill.

Where did the larger body thing come into play? If something is within the gravitational pull of an object, it will be sucked in regardless of mass.
Review Newton's Law that I linked already please.

There was differing sizes of gravel being pulled up and that is explained by sheer randomness.
No, it is explained by them breaking off of the large stones or being on top of them. If you look at when the spheres form, they are completely composed are large boulders in both this chapter and the Chibaku Tensei chapter of the Pein arc.

There is no reason Naruto and co. shouldn't have been pulled up with them.
If they were out of range of being hit by or being on top of the boulders, which they appear to be, there is. I've given my reasoning. Either give yours or drop the topic because you're getting on my nerves.

I still disagree that they had any idea what was coming. They were all very shocked when the Earth started moving around them.
You're right. They'd just sit there with their thumbs up there asses and watch the show.

Wow, calm down bro, you're getting mad over nothing. I don't know why you bother accusing me of putting myself on a pedestal when that is the exact thing you are doing.

Not understand? Its a manga bro, its Kishi's responsibility to keep things consistent. We've seen 3 instances of this and this is the only time people were not drawn to the mass. You might have an answer for Naruto standing on the orb, but you still continue to ignore these panels:
You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

After being separated from the rock he was standing on, 6 tails Naruto is drawn directly to the orb and slams into its surface, before being hit by other boulders. This means he is directly being drawn to the orb. He later struggles to leave the orb, meaning he is continuing to fight its gravity.

I'm only basing my opinion of you based on this thread. You continue to make snide remarks and continue to claim your teaching me physics and logic but I still fail to see your rationalization of this.

First off you claimed they used chakra to stay on the ground, now you've switched to claiming Gaara and Lee were in range but Naruto and the others were not. Yet Madara ascended directly above Naruto and showed no signs of deviating from his location above the Earth. Why would 2 people an unknown distance away be in range when people directly below him are not? Don't assume I don't see through your BS. You are trying to explain away something and you're making yourself look like a Kishi fanboy while doing it. By all logic, Naruto and co. should have been in range.

I don't know what you are accomplishing with the newton law explanation. You are obviously copying and pasting that from the wiki and assume it applies to the Naruto universe. By your explanation, the CT sphere should be attracted to the Earth since the Earth is so large, not the other way around. The technique emits a gravitational pull of a certain caliber. That caliber is fixed and it continues to emit the pull until everything within a certain ranged is sucked up. The CT has a 3 dimensional range so the ground being sucked up is randomized as it carves out a crater:

You must be registered for see images

I know the true definition of a satellite. I know what the moon is. Again, I told you to no take that term seriously. I changed the term to orb. Happy now?

Not attempting to debunk them? I'm directly focusing on and countering each of your arguments. You obviously continue to ignore the panel of Naruto being sucked into the orb as 6 tails. I don't feel at all that Kishi is being consistent on this topic and it is just one of the many in the recent history of the manga.
