So, today, my cousin had some time to take me out to browse the too many shady shops in Taiwan, the mini island below Japan, both countries in which my family is spread out through. Naturally, I tend to ease toward the figurine and game shops, and to my utter shock and excitement, I saw:
I lost about a hundred pants right then and there. Monster Hunter 4 too! I completely forgot that my country was so close to Japan that they get imports about one or two weeks after Japan releases them! Naturally, I asked them if they had the special edition of the Persona Q 3DS XL because the games are actually cheaper in Taiwan and I could consider asking my family to ship the region-locked games, but they were out of stock and to order one, it cost about 11120 NT dollars and that's about 400 bucks USD. So, heart broken, I continued my journey as I did visit about like five other game shops, but they all said the same thing. Since Taiwan directly imports Japanese games to their game store, the 3DS XL there is called the 3DS LL, and they also had weird color Vitas that I would have bought if I didn't already have a black one:
I was pretty much saying to my cousin the entire time "我要哭了!" which means "I'm gonna cry" cause the dam game was so close to me (with about a hundred other Japanese games that were never going to localized, like a copy of J-Stars Victory VS. I almost bought it for the Vita since it wasn't region locked but I ain't made of money) and I wasn't going to get it any time soon, and I felt even worse for the people in Europe. Though, while browsing, I found another gem sitting in a magazine store:
Of course, the official guide would be useless to me and it was close to about 30 bucks in USD standard, but since the magazine on the right was less than half the price, I picked it up immediately. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed. It was the June issue too. I've included screenshots below.

Whoa. Sounds like you had quite the adventure, lmao. I can only imagine the self-control you had to exhibit to willingly walk away from Persona Q, and not grab it off the shelf and make your escape into the nearest TV XD
Great find with the magazine. It's a shame it doesn't get localized, or at least an "e-version" in English or something like that, I'd love to see all the new stuff they have every month :NO:

Easy, cost-efficient solution:
-Get a sharpie.
-Get picture of PQ 3DSXL
-Carefully (or not so carefully) draw the designs from the PQ one onto your own 3DS.
You'll save $$$, no hassle, and it's 10x more gangster and 10x more Persona than just buying one
