I have been smoking for 5-6 years now. It's a waste of money, that might be true, but to be honest I've tried quitting and I didn't really that there was this big "OMG I NEED A CIG" thing around me, though I did find it hard to refrain from the habit of smoking. F.e. after my meal, in between some classes, in a bar (I will talk about this further on). I get that "non-smokers" don't like smokers, but to be honest, no one is bothered by it in general (that is if they don't blow it in your face)... The Belgian government (Yes Greg, we don't have one ha-ha.) has approved a law that it is prohibited to smoke in a pub starting on the first of July. Now, smoking is something that has integrated in our lives more and more. Everyone knows a smoker. I don't want to know what the results will be for pubs when smoking will be prohibited. You might say, oh people will get used to it, but I have to disagree:
-Having a drink without a smoke is an utter waste (imo). I could just do that at home if I wanted to.
- If smokers have to outside to smoke all the time, the positive atmosphere, the laughs and all that comes with it will be broken everytime they go outside. It'll be like a chain reaction (One smokers goes out to have a smoke, out go the others as well...)
-In the winter, it can be cold in Belgium. No freaking Siberia Blizzard like coldness, but cold enough to not go outside to have a smoke, henceforth not going to a pub because you can't smoke inside.
In general? Smoking is bad, but who are the non-smokers to complain about it? It isn't their health, and it's hypocritical to say that no one ever does something that is bad for their body.
Favourite brand?
Pall Mall. It's cheap, though it tastes like shit but I get used to that. Rollies and normal cigs.
I prefer Lucky's if I have the money, though I don't seem to find any rolling tobacco of it anywhere.
Last but not least, Tigra. Bloody expensive though, Imo.
