frog genjutsu > kamui

Didn't think of that =D

But how will he pull it off with Obito constantly on his toes? The last (and only) time he managed to pull it off he had the locational advantage and his opponent(s) fell for his trap. Obito would never fall for the same trick for obvious reasons.

I don't think location necessarily had much to do with it. I think all Jiraiya would need to do for prep time is summon Bunta, then have him hop away whenever Obito gets too near.

IMO:

He loses to Obito (definite), Itachi, and Kisame.

I say he beats Pain because Pain stated with intel (since Intel is manga, Jman knows Pain's abilities this time around) if he caught on sooner he would have lost.

The whole gattering senjutsu thing and the trick he pulled on the three Paths wouldn't have been possible in an open field.
I think Shadow Clones would be Jiraiya's best chance to gather intel and have someone else to attack on the other side. Other than that he loses imo.

Jiraiya has a 50/50 of beating Itachi.

Jiraiya beats Pein with intel, i.e. he beats Nagato.

Jiraiya loses to Obito.

Jiraiya beats everyone else with varying difficulty.

Ma or Pa break him out of genjutsu.

So if a perfect jinchuuriki couldn't break a high level kage out of that genjustu.....

What makes you think Ma and Pa will?

So ma and pa are stronger than a fully controlled bijuu?

Yagura was never stated to be a perfect jinchuuriki, he was just noted to be able to control a tailed beast better than most jinchuuriki. Otherwise it's a plothole, since perfect Jins cannot be put under genjutsu.

Controlling a Bijuu translates to perfect Jinchuuriki. Obito controlled the Bijuu first, then the Jinchuuriki. [ ]

i can see him beating everyone except the doujutsu three.

Jiraiya vs healthy itachi would be very close though I'd favor itachi.
Jiraiya vs Pein would obviously go to pein with manga intel.
Jiraiya vs Obito would also be close but i'd favor obito due to jiraiya's lack of intel and izanagi.

Oh, makes sense. In the event that Obito puts Ma or Pa under a genjutsu Jiraiya can just break them out.

Loses to Itachi, Orochimaru, Pain and Obito.

You think that Jiraiya in Sage Mode can't beat Oro without ET? Not bashing I'm just curious to know why you think that.

Unfortunetly for you the viz translation states that he indeed is 100% a perfect jinchuuriki.

He wouldn't be a kage if he wasn't.

By that theory

Both ma/pa and Jiraiya will be under a genjustu.

Since he believes that he put both the sanbi and yagura under a genjustu.

Jiraiya will beat kisame, people just refuse to accept his elemental advantage.

jiraya vs itachi is indeed 50/50, but objectively, U have to (always)lean toword itachis favor

and Jiraya loses to Pein. the manga didn't say jiraiya could've beat Pein, it said that Pein is so strong that at less than 50%, some one as strong as jiraiya would've lost w/o a ridiculously powerful trump card, last resort - a specialty sage_genjutsu summoning.

at full power, Pein would've stomped Jiraiya befor he could think of using it, unfortunately :(

I wont discuss obito...
then he beats the rest, possibly in base

No. Although the sanbi can break yagura out of genjutsu, yagura can't break out the sanbi. whereas it works both ways with Ma/Pa/Jiraiya.
