oh so you just use iron to form differnt shapes i get it now and when my iron sand charka hits lighting it be hard to control i get it because the raw density of lighting can over flow my charka network in control of my iron sand plus now i get it now but how do you use iron sand in a battle? pluse what do you when you facing a person that loves to use lighting while im using my iron sand in battle
Some good questions. In battle, Iron Sand is primarily used similarly to Earth Release - you form shapes that are meant to either attack the opponent, defend from attacks, or otherwise supplement you in some way. However, these shapes are not rooted in the ground, as are most Earth techniques, but rather can "float" in a magnetic field you create with your chakra, and can fly around on your command to reposition themselves and increase your attacking ability.
As for lightning, you seem to understand what happens, though the why is fuzzy. It doesn't necessarily disrupt your chakra, but what your chakra becomes (for example, water doesn't put out "chakra", but it puts out fire, which is something you've turned your chakra into. Same concept - lightning doesn't disrupt your chakra, but it does disrupt the magnetic field your chakra turned into). But still, you seem to understand what happens when Iron Sand and Lightning mix.
If you're facing a person who uses lightning a lot, and you are dead-set on using Iron Sand, perhaps the best things to do are as follows:
- Never use long-ranged Iron Sand techniques that connect to you. Lightning will not only turn the object you've turned the Iron Sand into down to dust (literal iron sand), but it will be conducted down the structure and electrocute you.
- Attack from multiple angles. The few lightning techniques that can strike out omnidirectionally (every direction) only do so in a short range, so if you're standing a decent range away you should be fine as they counter.
- Don't use defensive Iron Sand moves. If your opponent uses lightning repeatedly, there are better defenses than Iron Sand as the lightning could easily pierce through, being conducted throughout the iron so as to both strike you and destroy your defense.
- Combine it with wind. A very simple concept, if you were to send out a burst of wind before you use your Iron Sand attacks, the lightning wouldn't be able to get past to disrupt your technique.
Okay, so perhaps you'll get a better understanding if we move onto some techniques.
(Jiton: Satetsu No Jutsu) - Magnetism Release: Iron Sand Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defense
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user creates small weapons and defenses out of iron sand. The sand can be released from sand in the users possession or from the ground nearby.
A very simple jutsu, this allows you to draw Iron Sand either from a pouch you have, or from the environment (there's a lot more out there than you think there is) in order to form small weapons or defenses - a kunai, a fist-sized ball, a shield that you could wear on your arm, etc. Now, with this technique your magnetism only allows the Iron Sand to stick together, and won't cause it to float. The basics behind this technique, and why it's useful, is that you could create a small spike of Iron Sand on the ground as your opponent is moving, impaling their foot and causing pain. You could also create a quick shield to defend last-second against an attack. Or, if you have the customs, you could have a technique that later takes advantage of objects made of Iron Sand, and does something with them, in which case it may be better to use an Iron Sand kunai instead of a normal kunai.
So, why don't you perform the technique, while asking me any questions you may still have, and then tell me some drawbacks or general disadvantages this technique could have.
