Lawliet: These where the words he spoke, before joining us...Before I tell you this tale, and let you experience the past, this information will help clarify the events to come. Please select them as you see fit.
Versuvio
Versuvio is the leader of the second largest kingdom on the continent, but his kingdom holds the main monastery for the worlds leading religion, and the world's biggest market. This means that Versuivo effectively rules over the entire continent. In this tale, he leads the "Ancients" or the "Red Forces". His Kingdom is the Spiral Sanction.
Author's Note: Naruto ruffly translates into Spiral, and the word Sanction could be used instead of Base.
"Ancients" or "The Red Force"
This is Versuvio's fraction in this war. For insight, there are no "evil" forces in this war; simply a clash of political views. The Red Force is lead by Rei, Bianca, and Nexus.
"Births" or "The Blue Force"
The "Births" are lead by UzumakiJake, or Jake, as he's called by his close command. The name "Births" signifies the amount of people "born" into the military on this side on the civil war; it also signifies younger soldiers with less experience.
"Veil" or "The Silver Force"
A third party; more will be explained later....
AND NOW THE STORY BEGINS....
Lawliet: It started many years ago, with a decision made to protect the people...that would prove to cause a great amount of death among them.
Messenger: Sir, the plague has spread to the neighboring nation....over one hundred thousand in causalities...
Versuvio: Thank you; you are dismissed.
Rei: What are you going to do?
Versuvio: I don't know...The best option would to border in the nation with a quarentine wall...but the majority of the popluation is against it....
Nexus: Sometimes you have to put the people's safety, before their wants.
Versuvio: Such is the duty of a King...is it not?....Very well....Order the wall risen.
Rei: I will inform Bianca at once.
Versuvio sat there, contemplating what he had just done.
Lawliet: Such a simple action, made to protect his own people. This is what started the civil war. The people of Spiral Sanction didn't care for their own well being, but for the rest of the world's. Since they had the biggest economy, and was the main exporter of food, by blocking off their nation, the rest of the world...would die.
It had been three years since that fateful decision, and the Spiral Sanction was in a state of civil war, the "Ancients" ruled the eastern part of the nation; the "Births": the west.
Blue Force Soldiers: I can't wait to knock some heads in. Me either, once we claim 'suvio's castle, we'll have control over the kingdom, and we can fell that infernal wall. Hey, stop yappin! Red's on foot!
Lawliet: At this time, Mizutoki, whom I will refer to as Mizu when speaking of him from here on out, was a high ranking Red Soldier, who served under Madara Uchiha, and his Blaze Corps. His squadron dealt with the extermination of Blue squadrons, and the cremation of their bodies.
Mizutoki: Let us pass! I want no trouble.
Blue Lookout: Your Mizutoki, of the Blaze Corps, be I right?
Mizutoki: You would be.
Blue Lookout:...Your one of the most honored one in Red's forces; have I your word you'll do us no harm?
Mizutoki: Aye.
Madara Uchiha: Now, Mizu, you know we can't do that. I'd rather not risk my men either, but we have standing "Slay-on-sight" orders straight from Nexus. You gave your word you wouldn't fight, but the rest of us did not.
Blue Solider: Deceiving Red Dogs! Charge!
Moments later, Mizutoki watched the flames light up the night, the Blaze Corps having made quick work of the soldiers. He watched as they continued to through mangled bodies into the fire. He didn't know why, but he felt this wasn't right; the war: unnecessary.
He took off this Blaze Corps emblem, and his Red Force gauntlet, and threw them on the ground, and dissipated into the darkness of the night.
