I just had the craziest thought so i have to share what if itachi can use izanami but not izanagi? izanami and izanagi are jutsu of the SO6P right? so what if he gave izanagi to his senju son and izanami to his uchiha son that would explain why senju dna is needed for izanagi and itachi using izanami just a thought :shrug:

Well Senju don't exactly have the Sharingan, so they wouldn't be able to use Izanagi at all.
