Kabuto is telling the truth, they can't stop the edo controller by force or killing him! Even itachi said as much. However, the weak point is izanami has the power to change who is the controller. By doing this itachi can stop the edo no jutsu himself or make someone the controller who is trustworthy.

Izanami Theory

This is a rumor that's been floating around for some weeks and I just remembered it. and yes, I know, "NOT ANOTHER POINTLESS STUPID IZANAMI THREAD" but hear me out. What if this slowing down time power somehow related to Izanami? What if it turns out that it's power is to slow down time and still be a genjutsu and teach it to Sasuke? I know it sounds ridiculous, but with Kishi you'll never know.

No one for sure can tell what the power will do, but I personally believe that it has the power to change destiny, and Kabuto making contact with Itachi will somehow be his undoing. It's going to be a game changer for sure.

I personally believe that it'll be the opposite of Izanagi and just cast a genjutsu and make it into reality, but it was a thought that I had to let out.

Well Izanagi is a jutsu you cast on yourself to bring fantasy to reality... Wouldn't one assume that Izanami is its counterpart to which you cast it onto your opponent and bring it into reality?

Endless Izanagi and Izanami

I'm going to go as far and say that most likely the user of this technique would lose their eyesight but considering the state of Itachi's edo-tensei that even if he lost eye eye sight wouldn't it just regenerate? I mean if his head gets completely blown off and eyes are destroyed into a million pieces, and they come right back fresh and new; that said his eye sight would return right after he uses it. meaning spam izanami but here i'm sure people will say oh if that's the case why doesn't Madara spam Izanagi or Izanami but he obviously doesn't need too considering he destroying the Kages. SO my guess is you can't lose the light from edo-tensei'd eyes, meaning Itachi and Madara each have a trump card up their sleeves assuming Madara knows about Izanami. Why didn't itachi use it off the bat? He was obviously gaining Intel about kabuto and everything he has going on. WHat do you guys think?

It may not work that way, I think the use of Izanagi/Izanami seals the light from the eye, and we've seen the way sealing puts a stop to Edo Tensei.

But with so much unknown it's not unreasonable enough to think he would regenerate his eye sight.

However if for no other reason then plot no jutsu I don't think he will be able to do that.

Now Izanagi is a genjutsu that requires the user to have Uchiha and Senju dna.

How in the world could Itachi use Izanami, when there have been no indicators of him even attaining Senju dna. I'm going with plot no jutsu. Your guys thoughts.:shrug:

NOPE tobi said it takes uchiha and senju but as of now we don't know of tobi's lineage/ bloodline but danzo was neither so he needed both; itachi (i'm guessing madara too) are true heirs of the uchiha clan because of their full blood so they don't need senju dna to use izanami although it would help it's not necessary. It's like shisui's KA you only need sharingan (uchiha dna) but senju dna will help it recover in time for constant use. Trust me the uchihas probably discovered it when in battle they lost an eye for casting genjutsu on themselves not by senju dna if they could even get a hold of it (until madara vs 1st) xd

Izanami simply must not require senju DNA. I mean there's a reason he used a tech similar to Izanagi but not Izanagi, right?

Good theory, but remember that an uchiha that has senju DNA is simply getting closer to becoming the sage. So Izanagi is not Uchiha related, but SO6P related. Those are, of course, two drastically different things.

Keep in mind that the Uchiha have spawned techs separate from what the Sage had (ie MS techs). Therefore they do not simply share eachother's techs just because they are distantly related.

I still think that your theory is possible, but I think its more likely that Izanami simply does not require senju DNA for some reason.
