Jinbei hadn't shown his when I initially posted this so that was less than half at the time and I can't recall if Doffy had either at that point. Arm seems to be a basic for strong fighters and they were portrayed to be strong, not the strongest but strong, so I figured they'd have it.

Didn't notice this thread got necro'd and the reason why we have a rule against it is exactly to avoid this kind of confusion. Anyway I will leave it as it is right now.

Surprised this thread's coming back. Jinbei hadn't shown it back when this was made and for the record people used to say the same about Jinbei and his FMK thus making arm. unnecessary for him, so I don't put much stock in the "they have good enough fruits to not need it" argument. They all know about logias and know they're not doing shit to them without it, I doubt any shichibukai doesn't have armament haki. I find it hard to believe people like Bellamy or Kanjuro etc have it but shichibukai captains don't.

Well to be fair for gekko he could have haki all he needs is to eat the shadow of someone with haki. And if he takes your shadow in direct sunlight your dead instantly. So idk how haki would help you beat him. Also he is one of the few arc antagonist not beat solo by Luffy he took on the full force of the strawhats at their preskip peak. So there is that.
