This technique is established as your core skill for healing injuries and lesions on your patients. It allows you to basically do anything you wish with few limitations when it comes to healing. However, such a versatility comes with a price as otherwise we wouldn't need to learn all the other methods if we could do it all with a simple technique without drawbacks.

This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by focusing mainly Yang chakra onto their hands, forming an aura of greenish healing chakra which he then sends into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. The limitation of the technique is that it cannot regrow missing body parts or deal with poisons or toxins, though it can heal its damage. Additionally, perhaps its more severe drawback is the chakra cost, which, as the technique stands as a jack of all trades in terms of medical ninjutsu, is much higher than any other medical technique. Its a very slow technique which means that your patient needs to be somewhat stable to last long enough for you to use it for the time it takes to heal him. It also can't cure poisonings nor mental damage. It can cure the damages left behind by poisons and toxins but it won't remove them or leave them inactive. It can heal up your brains tissue but it won't bring back memories or fix mental damage. It can't also grow missing body parts though, if a remnant of an organ still exists, it can make it regrow.

Its important to know though that, lets say you take a Chidori (A-Rank, 60 damage) to your shoulder. While you'll receive that damage initially and you still have tons of health left, the result is not only 60 damage for you to heal. Each turn/20 minutes that passes, your tissues will get further damaged, your blood loss will lead to further tissue damage and, after the equivalent of 3 or 4 turns, the damage will have multiplied by that same amount.

Basically, when it comes to a medical ninja calculating how much he needs to heal and how much real damage a patient has:
  • B-Rank techniques and bellow - damage to be healed is in the same amount that the technique does though 30 damage can be as lethal as 90. For example, if you cut someone carotid artery with a C-Rank wind technique, the damage to repair will be 30 but the wound itself can be fatal.
  • A-Rank techniques and above - the technique does an initial damage that, by the end of 2 turns, has multiplied by 2 for practical medical effects. So, for example, an A-Rank damage, at the end of the 2 turns will have transformed into 120 damage due to pain, blood loss, suffering, etc. The damage continues to multiply, doubling every 2 turns until something is done to stop its progression. That why some injuries that aren't immediately lethal can lead to death. Others, despite doing, imagine, 60 damage, might cause immediate death. The health pool of ninjas in our RP serve only to asses how long they can survive after receiving non-immediate lethal damage. Nothing else and only has a value for medical ninjas, being of no use in battle assessments.
This knowledge is paramount in assessing how much chakra you'll need to spend and makes it essential to stabilize the patient and initiate what we call "primary care" (restoring blood, initiating blood coagulation, giving anesthetics, etc) which will stabilize and prevent the damage from increasing before you actually begin to use Mystic Palm to heal the damage. It also makes it essential to assist the patient as soon as possible as, the longer time passes, the worse the patient will get and, if his health reaches 0, he's beyond salvation.

Also, yes, Mystic Palm can be used on you but, because its unlikely you'll be able to perform correct primary care on yourself, it will take long and cost a lot of chakra.

As a benchmark in terms of time, getting pierced in the shoulder by a Chidori, leaving a gapping hole but avoid major organs, requires, in battle, 4 turns of none stop healing. You spend the 120 chakra points (assuming you start right after the injury) and need to continue performing the technique through those 4 turns, with focus and concentration. Cuts will be easier to heal than a fractured organ. But the worse are combinations of both external damage (like cuts) and internal damage (like fractured organs), similar to the example of the Chidori wound (which is both internal and external damage).

When its done in a healing thread or, after a battle has ended, before you go into a new battle as your final action, you don't have this time issue but you also don't necessarily have turns. So, how does it work? You'll post a single post with the detailed method through which you heal the patient (or yourself if its applicable) and stating time. In medical terms in our RP, 1 turn equals roughly up to 20 minutes or so of medical treatment.

Suddenly Luffy was called to the emergency room where a shinobi was in serious condition. Walking over to the man laying the bed, the first thing that caught Luffy's attention was a cut cleave through the man's torso area. The cut seemed to extend from the lower left waist all the way diagonally across to the right shoulder area. In that same shoulder area, Luffy could count up to three senbon lodged half way. The right arm's sleeve was completely shredded up as multiple superficial wounds stood out, with dirt remains. The last noticable injury through his visual was the man's left hand; it appeared to have third degree burns that extended up the arm and lessening into second degree burns. The cut on the man's chest reminded him of a cut potentially done by a large blade akin to his own, or similar to Zabuza's. The shinobi was lucky to have not been cut in half. Time was of the essence as the man was loosing blood through the chest's wound. Luffy quickly began by focusing warm chakra around his solar plexus, raising his natural resistance before entering the treatment. He then channeled chakra throughout his hands with an aggressive nature, completely cleansing himself of all bacteria and microorganisms.

Description: The medical shinobi fills his palms with small amounts of extremely aggressive chakra and runs them over the areas of his body he wants to clean of any microorganisms, harmful substances, etc. The chakra will eliminate any inert harmful substance or microorganism present on that area. Normally this technique is done on the hands and lower arms just before having contact with a patient but can be applied to the whole body in specific situations (before performing surgery, if the enemy is highly contagious, etc). After being done, the chakra automatically turns back to his regular, non-harmful and calm one.

After cleansing himself, Luffy outstretched his right palm and hovered it above the man's chest area, almost within touching distance. Swiftly and fluidly, he began releasing his medical chakra into the patient, through their chakra points in order to begin diagnosis, feeding them chakra in order to scan through the entire body and receive back a report. Within a few moments, Luffy was able to gather all the information he needed.

"Okay, so there are three major injures that are also tied to some small ones. The main one is in the chest, it seems to be a clean cut that didn't sever any organs but it's bleeding too much and I need to begin coagulating asap. The second major injury is the right humerus that is broken cleanly in half, diagonally. Not only that, but the senbon severed the nerves in the arm, inducing complete paralysis in the arm. Speaking of which, the outer surface of the arm is filled with superficial scrapes and cuts with remains of earthen debris, something that will need to be extracted. The third major injury is the left hand which contains severe burns of third degree, alongside the arm portion which a lessen extent but still second degree. Let's begins!"

After performing the diagnosis, Luffy began channeling aggressive chakra throughout his palms once again, but less than before. He then hovered his hands across the patient's entire body, completely cleansing them of impurities, bacteria and microorganisms, allowing him to begin the healing process. Quickly afterwards, he moved onto speeding the process of the patient's blood coagulating ability, more specifically around the chest wound, by using his own chakra to speed up the process. Luffy focused for several minutes on the entire cut of the wound, slowly hovering his hand across the wound, up and down to slow down the bleeding. He then continued to move his hands over the senbons, coagulating the blood of the superficial puncture entries of the projectiles. Lastly, he finished by covering his palms across the patient's entire right arm, coagulating the blood around the scrapes of the injuries.

Description: The medical shinobi fills his palms with moderate amounts of semi-aggressive chakra and runs them over any areas of the patient’s body he wants to clean of any microorganisms, controlling the chakra flow constantly so it doesn't becomes too lethal. The area affected is 4 times the area of the users hands. After being done, his chakra automatically turns back to his regular, non-harmful and calm one.

Luffy bit his lip in frustration upon seeing the large wound on the chest had not fully stopped bleeding. He truly needed to take care of it fast. A green aura began enveloping Luffy's hands as yang-natured chakra was being fueled through them. He slowly and steadily began hovering his hands across the long wound. He began healing it in sections, starting from the bottom, and ending all the way at the top.

The next hurtle was to remove the lodged senbon and heal the area. Luffy began to focus his chakra into the patient's wound, carefully manipulating their tissue in order to give him leeway to remove the lodged senbon. While doing so, Luffy's hands turned a greenish hue once again, as he began to not only dislodge the projectiles but also heal the entry wounds after doing so. The end result was the successful procedure of removing the projectiles and healing the punctured entries.

Luffy quickly shifted his body to the other side of the patient's bed in order to get closer to his fractured arm. Using both of his hands, Luffy began channeling his chakra into his patient's chakra points once again to perform a quick diagnosis to scan the precise location of the fractured bones to put them in their right place. After doing so, Luffy forcefully moved either ends of the broken bone and painfully moved them as close together as he could. After doing so, Luffy channeled his chakra into the tenkesu of the patient once again and caused the bones to begin releasing calcium to creature a welded suture between the ends. This method however, did not take care of the trauma and severed tissue around the fracture, internally.

(Iryō Ninjutsu: Chiyute no Jutsu) Medical Technique: Bone Healer Technique

Description: When facing a clean and complete bone fracture of a bone and having had manually set the bone in place, the user will focus chakra through his palms and pass them over the fracture, forcing his chakra to influence the osteocytes to start releasing their calcium, which then creates a welded suture between two ends of a broken bone. After that, the stimulated osteocytes lock the calcium back into their structure and the bone is completely healed. Despite not healing any injury to the soft tissues surrounding the fracture, the technique can be very useful when treating simple, clean fractures.

Having done more than half of the job with the bone healing technique, Luffy activated his mystical palm technique once again, on both palms. However, this time, he divided the job equally as he utilized his left palm to treat the severed tissues around the previously fractured bone. Meanwhile, he utilized his right hand to slowly and steadily extract the earthen remains from the scrapes on the right arm, alongside treating the superficial wounds afterwards.

Note: I am unsure how many extra chakra I would utilize on the Mystical Palm technique by having healed the injures left by the interception method technique. I used the bone healing technique to basically treat half of the injury so I am unsure how many points to deduct from healing the damaged internal tissues. In the bone healing guide it specifies we would burn less chakra if we treated a bone injury with the bone healer technique first, and then finished it off with the Mystical Palm technique to lessen the burden and make the overall treatment faster and more chakra efficient. Im also unsure on what chakra to spend when treating free-form damage.

The extensive procedure was almost done, all that Luffy had to do was treat the patient's severely burned arm and leg. However he could see that he was in pain, so he decided to do something before treating the wound completely. Biting his left thumb, he drew his summoning scroll with his opposite hand and unraveled it on a medical cart beside him, pressing his hand and summoning several items to his location.; bandages, mortar and pestle x2, medical herbs & solvents & mediums. (Apple Juice & Milk) He applied some Horehound extract onto the mortar for pain relief and mixed it with some Dandelion herbs for the nutricious calcium to induce healthy recovery. Luffy blended everything together with the pestle by pouring some of apple juice, making a syrup that would proceed to be fed to his patient. Using the other mortal and pestle, Luffy poured milk alongside Echinacea herbs in order to make a paste that he would proceed to pour and spread throughout the burned areas. The natural effects of the herb, alongside the soothingly cold effects of the milk were the perfect combination to ease the pain of the burns as the pain relief medicine took effect.

(Kuchiyose No Jutsu: Eisei Yougu) Summoning technique: Medical tools

Description: The medical Ninja will bite his thumb and do the summoning handseals before pressing his palm on the scroll. He will summon any of the medical tools he needs that are listed on the scroll, all or just one, depending on his own needs.
Note: This can only be used by Medical Shinobi.

"Bare with me, I'm almost done here! This syrup I'm giving you will cause some pain relief along with induce nutricious calcium to your bones, more specifically, the one that had been fractured. On the other hand, the paste I smeared all over your bound wounds should also ease the wounds as I prepare to finish the treatment."

After briefly explaining the situation at hand, Luffy began channeling yang chakra throughout his hands once again. He cautiously and patiently began hovering them throughout the patient's burn wounds, slowly and steadily healing the third & second degree burns. After a good twenty minutes or so, the healing procedure for the burn wounds themselves had been finalized. However, the overall treatment took a few hours. Swiping the sweat from his forehead, Luffy raised his right thumb towards the patient as he said..

"Treatment successfully completed! Oh.. that's right! I need to bandage you up, hehe."

Said Luffy as he began wrapping all the treated areas of the patient, leaving him almost like a mummy, but not entirely. Just covering the aforementioned areas like the; Chest, right shoulder, right arm & left hand/forearm.

Techniques Involved in the accident:

The patient managed to deflect all the first slashes but was left unable to deal with the final one, which was the one that dealt the fatal strike.

Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame.The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

Howard watched as Luffy began to diagnose and heal his patient. He observed for a bit then walked up to another patient placing his hand on their forehead and releasing chakra into their system having it travel all throughout their body and return to him. He took his time even yawning slightly as the diagnosis came to fruition. He looked down at the patient and began to speak,

Broken right wrist, bruised left lung, and tongue partially removed.

Genjutsu eh? Or a really sadistic opponent, but eh that's none of my business.


Howard continued by cleaning his entire body and doing the same for his patient making sure both were sterile. After he quickly set the broken wrist with his right hand while channeling chakra through his left instigating the mending of bone. It took a few moments but eventually the bone healed. Howard continued by placing the hand gently on the bed.
He began releasing healing chakra through the palms of both of his hands and hovered them over the now mended bone. He slowly healed the surrounding tissue and sinew over the next few moments.

As he said that he motioned his hands upwards towards the patients chest and began to heal the bruised left lung.

This was a bit different then the wrist as it was deep underlying tissue there was also several smaller sub dermal bruises all along the chest and stomach. Howard made sure to continuously use the diagnosis skill to make sure he was healing the lung and various bruised tissue in the proper way and after a while it seemed healed.
He reasoned that it was most likely caused by excessive blunt force trauma to the chest and ribcage area brought on by medium ranking taijutsu. He finally moved onto the tongue which he assumed the patient had bit off to dispel a genjutsu. This was a bit easier than the lung as it was just superficial tissue.

This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by focusing mainly Yang chakra onto their hands, forming an aura of greenish healing chakra which he then sends into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it very useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because of this, only a few highly skilled medical-nin are able to use this technique. The limitation of the technique is that it cannot regrow missing body parts or deal with poisons or toxins, though it can heal its damage. Additionally, perhaps its more severe drawback is the chakra cost, which, as the technique stands as a jack of all trades in terms of medical ninjutsu, is much higher than any other medical technique. For each damage point the user of the technique wishes to heal he needs to spend twice as much chakra. Basically, for X amount of damage the user needs to spend 2X amount of chakra to repair/heal. The user can also use this technique on himself and it can be used with one hand or two and even in two targets at a time or while using another technique with the other hand. The speed of the healing is fast but not instant, specially in internal injuries.

Healed them as if the below technique was used to strike the wrist with enough force to shatter the small bones.
