It was a and/or thing not all at once, and also sensais would have more time for training if the sempais could do more...rightExactly, i don't like training it, because it's so simple and boring and i've got alot of other students :|
And sensei would have more time for training other things, if people weren't so selfish and didn't want to be trained like 5 things at once.
I understand the test thing too but the sempais could have a test as well, not that it would do any good as most of the sensais/mods disagree on the jutsu that the test is suppose to prove their understanding of yet they pass with a different outlook on the same jutsusa lot of points raised on this thread are valid, though I agree with Dan, there is a reason the sensei tests are in place, and that is to ensure that only rpers who know the techniques and can use them in battle to a high enough standard can become one. With the senpai system, there is merely the trust of the sensei you work under that you are good enough, and in recent months this has backfired on a few senseis, so I honestly cant see why this would be allowed, especially seen as it would make senseis essentially obsolete
