Someone has to be controlling Shisui from the shadows though. Him gaining Sharingan(s) and creating Shin, and the rest of those Sharingan-like creatures is nothing like Shisui.

Orochimaru is probably doing this.

Hm, this somewhat saddens me.

I appreciated the friendship Itachi and Shisui had since it was realistic (not too goofy, forced, etc) even though it had very little screen time. Now, it will likely be ruined on Shisui's side.

Not to sound too cynical here, (on the contrary, this is optimistic)- but I'm really glad Kishimoto killed Itachi off when he did. He can be the only Uchiha with plot relevance to not be tarnished. He'll be safe until the end of these Naruto productions since Kishimoto plans on ending them after the movie.

I would absolutely hate for it to be Shisui. But if turns out like other people say that its an orochimaru experiment replicating Shisui or shisui edo tensei'd then it wouldn't be that bad. It just better not be Shisui with his own free will.
