(Noroi no Aka Fuhai) - Curse of Scarlet Rot
Type: Supplementary
Rank: A/S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A (-10 per turn/-10% per turn)
Description: The Curse of Scarlet Rot is an exceptionally rare bioorganic substance that manifests as a fine pale red-powder. It was first produced by the Basmu, Beast of Rot, during the Great War fought against Marduk’s Pantheon. It is regarded as a curse among certain cultures and those who fall prey to its dangerous effects pass away from a nightmarish and agonizingly slow death. Those who make use of Scarlet Rot fall into one of two categories: basic and or an advanced user. An Advanced User is the current host of the Basmu, able to make full use of its Authority over the Scarlet Rot, one of the five components of the Genesis Seal. Its potency varies between the two types of users. Those who wield its basic version command the A-Rank application of the Curse of Scarlet Rot, inflicting 10 damage per turn for four turns to those afflicted by it. Those who command the advanced variant inflict 10% of the target’s maximum Health Points per turn for four turns, making it extremely dangerous to targets who have larger-than-normal health pools. It is also an exceptional weapon, regardless of user, against organic substances like Shikotsumyaku and Wood Release. These techniques can be ‘infected’ with it and also possess an effective elemental weakness against the damage of Scarlet Rot techniques. Curing Scarlet Rot requires the victim to purge it with Fire Release or a Fire-based element. A technique with higher Chakra than the one used to infect the user with Scarlet Rot must be used as well as targeting the point of infestation. When this is done the Fire Release technique used to purge it will inflict 50% less damage than normal to the victim and purge them of their Rot. Yang Release can also be used to heal Basic applications of Scarlet Rot, but only Suen and Fire Release can be used against Advanced applications. While a target is afflicted with the Scarlet Rot their body will begin to decompose; this includes high grade fever, which reduces the target’s speed by 3, hemorrhage, and gangrene of the afflicted area. Even after purging the Rot the effects of gangrene will still be prevalent, hindering the victim unless healed.

Do the thing.

So this is the effect of being hit by a technique of Scarlet Rot, being either an A or S rank version depending on the users mastery. A rank being just a user of the Rot and S rank if is the user is the host of the Rot Beast.
It has the equivalent of an element advantage of natural substances such as Wood Release and Shikotsumyaku.
ScarletRot lasts 4 turns unless purged before hand with Fire techniques, which must be higher than the level of chakra Rot tech that infected.
Yang can be used to heal but only suen and fire release can be used to heal the S rank.
While inflicted, reduces the targets speed by 3.

Questions:
Can this damage be shaved? or only Yang specialty? or not at all?
"Even after purging the Rot the effects of gangrene will still be prevalent, hindering the victim unless healed" - Im assuming this means that even after the 4 turns of damage are done, the targets speed will be reduced by 3 still.
Does this -3 count as a debuff towards the user?
Does the -3 stack, like hitting multiple seperate times increases the speed decrease?

The damage overtime effects of Scarlet Rot cannot be mitigated. Had to ask about this since we didn't have an actual ruling on it.

Correct.

Towards the user?

No, it doesn't stack.

When I say does it stack towards the user, I mean that does it count towards the buff/debuff stacking rules. So a -3 speed on an opponent, would mean that you can only have 1 speed buff right?

(Aka Fuhai: Fuhai Megami no Ishi) - Scarlet Rot: Will of the Rot Goddess
Type: Offensive, Defensive, Supplementary
Rank: C - S
Range: Short - Mid (Long)
Chakra: 15 - 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: 30 - 80 (120)
Description: Will of the Rot Goddess is the basic Scarlet Rot technique available to all its users. The user will manipulate the Scarlet Rot in their body to create waves, shields, storms, or any shape the user can imagine to fit their needs in any given instance. The user's proficiency with this technique varies depending on if they are a Basic User, or non-host, or the host of the Basmu itself, an Advanced User. Regardless of user this technique always carries the Curse of Scarlet Rot. Basic Users can apply this technique between C and S-Rank, inflicting the base damage provided by it up to a mid-range reach. Advanced Users can apply this technique up to long-range when in one of their three Ascensions. While in their Second or Final Ascension this technique will inflict, at S-Rank, 120 damage.
Note: C-A rank can be used six times per battle, once every two turns.
Note: S-Rank applications can be used three times per battle, once every two turns.

The sandbox/generic type technique allowing users to manipulate the Scarlet Rot within their bodies within their imagination. Specifically mentioning within their body, the user would need to have sourceless specialization to generate it outside their body. However I imagine once a technique is used and some Scarlet Rot is upon the field, it could be manipulated or used with this technique as well.

Without the Beast in the user, they can only use it up to Mid range, with the S rank a standard 80 damage. However with the beast of rot, the user can launch up to Long range and S rank techniques while in the 2nd or final form deal 120 damage.

(Aka Fuhai: Kusatta Shukufuku) - Scarlet Rot: Rotten Blessing
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Rank: B/A
Range: Self
Chakra: 20/30
Damage: N/A
Description: An empowering technique Scarlet Rot users apply to strengthen their Rot in exchange for their life. The host of the Basmu is able to use the A-Rank application of this technique, though at different costs. Activation requires a move and a slot in the timeframe, but is done without the need for hand seals or other motions. It unleashes a pink and red aura around the user’s body as a visual queue for the heightened change and empowered Rot. This technique increases the damage of Scarlet Rot techniques by 20 and the damage over time of the Rot by 5 per turn. Advanced Users gain the same damage increase but their damage over time is calculated now as 5 + 10% per turn for the duration this is active. Unique to this technique is that when activated it will empower Rot afflictions in targets even if they were afflicted before the Blessing was activated. Basic Users activate this technique at the cost of 40 Health Points. Advanced Users activate this without the need for Health but at slightly higher Chakra cost.
Note: Advanced Users must first obtain Deepened Connection II in order to activate this technique.

An empowering technique, that increases user Rot techniques by 20, and increasing the damage over time by 5 if a normal user (to be 15 damage per turn) where as if they are a host, then it becomes 20 damage boost and 5 plus an additional 10% per turn.
Standard users cost 40 health and 20 chakra, where as rot beasts hosts only have to pay 30 chakra. (but must also have obtained deepened connection 2)

Good:
Increased damage to techs, increased damage over time, no turn duration limit? meaning in NW its very good, can post start of a NW arc and last the entire time. Can heal back up the damage.
Affects enemies after they have been affected as well.

Bad:
Costs a move and slot in timeframe, meaning that unless used at the start of a battle or while enemy is occupied, could be hard to use.
Does cost 40 health is standard user.

Dont really have any questions that I can think of except 1:
Is the damage to self for the tech considered to be Scarlet Rot damage as in, can only be healed up via Yang or Suen?

That's actually a good question that I hadn't considered. Yes, it would be considered Rot damage. Especially because of how strong this boost can be. I'm going to edit the technique to reflect that.

Yup. It's a bit of a unique technique in that it can be used as fast as Taijutsu can though it's speed is still limited by the speed associated with Scarlet Rot.

(Aka Fuhai: Sakuru Aka) - Scarlet Rot: Circle of Rot
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Rank: A
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: 60
Description: Circle of Rot is a fast acting defensive technique meant to keep enemies from entering or force them out of close quarters combat with the user. This technique passively carries with it the Curse of Scarlet Rot. Activation is carried out through simple arm movements and when triggered will cause a gust of Scarlet Rot to emerge from the user’s body outward to intercept combatants in close range. The advantage to this technique, despite its limited range, is that it can be cast as fast as standard Taijutsu in spite of its Chakra cost. However, it only reaches two meters from the user’s position and its speed is still correlated to that of Scarlet Rot itself.
Note: Usable three times per battle.

I imagine this technique a lot like the briars of sin technique from ER, like a circling branching wood tainted by scarlet rot but with the mention that it comes from the user body outwards, I guess it could be seen like an omni burst.

Im a bit confused about your wording with "it can be used as fast as Taijutsu can though it's speed is still limited by the speed associated with Scarlet Rot"
How I'm interpreting this is it can only go as fast as the Scarlet Rot technique rank speed, and any taijutsu faster than this speed will beat it. I assume it has 11 speed, which I guess is standard Sage rank speed for taijutsu then? Using that knowledge wouldn't any A rank and above techniques move as fast as taijutsu or is it a special case?

So what it means is that all things considered equal then this Scarlet Rot technique can intercept Taijutsu within close-quarters. That you won't be hindered by the idea that Chakra-based techniques, and their usage even without hand seals, are just inherently slower than Taijutsu. But like you mention, it doesn't account for the speed that each technique is moving at. So if someone is throwing Taijutsu at you with 30 speed, it might not stop them in time. Scarlet Rot is associated with Wind Release. I'm too lazy to check now but if it is 11 then yeah, it's 11. But don't focus on the numbers so much with that statement (don't get me wrong, they're important and will be important in those situations). But if your opponent is going to punch you in short range you can use this technique as a counter to intercept, all things considered equal.

Does that make sense?

Yeah thanks, I mostly understand it. A good defensive technique, but can turn the tide into an offensive technique.

A technique similar to the water clone or earth clone, or any elemental ninjutsu based clone, this technique follows clone rules as well as the users own rot techniques.
The clone itself also carries the rot, so good for taijutsu defence type thing to intercept incoming blows or to make inuzuka dogs sick.

(Aka Fuhai: Kusatta Kekkai) – Scarlet Rot: Rotten Barrier
Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Rank: A/S
Range: Short (Mid)
Chakra: 30/40
Damage: 60/80
Description: A defensive Scarlet Rot technique designed to protect the user from incoming physical projectiles. It is erected with frightening speed, bursting outward from the user to fill short-range of their position with a dense cloud of Scarlet Rot. It emerges with such force that enemies within that range parameter will be launched backwards with considerable physical force. It passively carries the Curse of Scarlet Rot, able to infect those it repels or later interacts with. The barrier is sustained as long as the user remains inside of it. Once they leave its vicinity it will disperse, unless it is destroyed by a superior technique.
Note: Can be used four times per battle.
Note: When used by the Beast of Rot in its Final Ascension it will instead form like a protective layer of Rot around its body.

Excellent. Penultimate technique.

A handy defensive technique that can also be used offensively in the right circumstances. An omnidirectional burst of scarlet rot.

With the sustained, does that carry a chakra cost per turn? (none listed)
Is this a multi ranked technique, or A for normal users then S rank for the Beast of Rot hosts?
Im assuming the "(Mid)" means theres how far it pushes people? or does it reach mid for S rank?
