My guess is that he straight up took the chakra, so I'd say it was Preta. I doubt that the transformation was permanent, given that it only did so because of the interaction with the Bijuu chakra.

No,he used the Bijuus to overpower Naruto.Before then they were matching although Masashi made sure Sasuke didn 't use multiple techniques such as Chibaku Tensei and Bansho Tenin.

Like kurama fully exhausted and he needed time to refill his chakra.
