Also, of course he closed his eyes to conserve chakra, why do you think that when Sasuke wasn't fighting before he went from the EMS to the normal sharingan? lol idiot

And I have no doubt in my mind he could've teleported away from Kaguya; but there's a thing called plot. How useless would Naruto look if every time she grabbed them, Sasuke was the only one getting away each time.

The reason why he closed his eye is unknown. If Manga states it, then it will have a cooldown, until it actually happens, it's nothing but fanfiction.

Yet it has shown he has to rest his eye and "get his eye ready" to teleport.

When manga states that he needs a recharge time for this specific jutsu, THEN he will have a cooldown. In that scan he stated that he needs to get his eyes ready but then used Amaterasu, which proves that he wasn't talking about the teleportation jutsu.

and i have and everybody who disagreed with me only said i was trying to downplay sasuke without actually refuting my points. All i said was sasuke closes his eye, sasuke prepped his eye before using the tech, sasuke has closed his eye after using the tech (and not after using a different jutsu). someone also mentioned that sasuke's tomoe keeps droping which could indicate that it needs a certain number before he can use his rinne tech

and also him using amateratsu right after saying he had to prep doesnt prove he wasnt talking about his rin tech. they were both used and it could just as easily refer to prepping his eye in general

exactly, i can't prove that he it has a cooldown, i can only speculate. so until then its just fanfiction. its gonna be stated that it has a cooldown. all OP jutsus have something like that.

Most of the times he has 6 tomoe, in some scans he has 9, some 3 and in others he ha no tomoe at all, most of the times the tomoe amount dimished, he didn't even use the tech.

Maybe because that's what is being discussed in this thread ? Do you mind listing any of the drawbacks ? I don't see how failing to teleport from his opponent's grab is a drawback.

If you are right about the drawbacks, sasuke would close his eye right after he teleported. But he closed his eye right after madara left. If madara didn't leave, then what would happen to sasuke??

you cant expect the manga to force feed you everything. just because the manga has stated soemthing that doesnt make any inference "fanfiction". just like if i googled all of itachi's symptons and found a disease that was just like the one he had, just because the manga never stated which disease he had that doesnt disprove that it wasnt the disease i picked.

so really your only answer is i cant disprove non of that but i wont believe it until the manga bluntly states it.

Did you read the last part of my post? A Dojutsu has never been closed mid battle for no reason. Please tell me a reason why sasuke would close his only asset while simultaneously telling naruto to be on guard, the fact you think this doesnt apply to sasuke is quite strange imo.

if you close your eye then you cant use that eye, that is a drawback in itself
