Uhm no, it was Obito who revived the juubi and who used it to kill people. If I give someoneva stick and he that person builds a weapon with it and kills someone, it's not my fault either.
That's your personal opinion. I on the other hand hated the fact that the Kages were spared, especially Mei, Onoki, Raikage, and Kazekage - the former carrying the relics of the past traditions. With them around and their protegees carrying the same ferments of militia leadership, it'll only be a matter of time before this thing spirals out of control.
Sasuke should have become immortal, watching over the Ninja world with the entire world unified and the Bijuus locked away for all eternity would have eradicated the global threats of war on a large scale. Sasuke was apt in pointing out this scheme in the grand scheme of global terrorism that involved these villages and the countries that funded them, carrying out espionage, pillaging the resources of poorer villages like Ame and their importunate endeavours to destabilize their economies, carrying out cross-border terrorism so that the funding wouldn't go dry from the country leaders ... they needed to be eradicated for global and somewhat lasting peace.
I don't get this reverent attitude towards these corrupt establishments on NB who had no regard for human life. I for one thank Sasuke and Akatsuki for reducing the military population world over at the very least. That would make the recovery process slow at least. So sorry, but he doesn't owe these governmental lapdogs anything, because they in turn owe him a lot given that he sealed a global threat and ended ET with Itachi.
Has anyone gotten their clan killed?? Has anyone been manipulated by their brother and another fellow person of their clan??
No...... The reason Sakura and Naruto forgive him is BECAUSE THEY BLOODY UNDERSTAND THAT HIS LIFE WAS BAD...Sasuke was manipulate by those around him through out his entire life.. until he awakened the EMS.. and that Sasuke Uchiha was a result of all the manipulation...
Naruto and Sakura are the 2 friends that a person would want.

I sense a stalin in this one.
So you thank Al Quida for shortening our human corrupt population?
What should have happened is that Sasuke should have been tortured, mutilated and then murdered (via exposure to radioactive waste) by Lord Danzo after that fiasco in teh iron country. Lord Danzo ought to have then proceeded to also exterminate that moron Naruto for the rat that he is.

That's true if you don't know that this person is bad. Sasuke knew that Obito was leader of terroristic organisation and still helped him with weapon creation.
Sasuke's final acts in the manga summed up why I love his character. He took Naruto's dream girl, dominated the final chapter of the manga and relegated Naruto to a side-character in the process, before then trolling Naruto by not rejoining Konoha, making his promise to Sakura/one his key goals in the manga a failure.

Sasuke didn't kill any Bijuu or sealed any Bijuu inside Mazo during akatsuki's reunions
Deidara, Sasori, Konan, Pein, Itachi, Hidan, Kakuzu, Kisame are much more responsible since they killed 7 jinchuurikis and sealed them together.
Obito who used the tail as plan B after he failed to capture Hachibi and Kyuubi in War.
Sasuke redeemed his crime like enter the Akatsuki When he helped against Kabuto, Juubi, Obito, Madara and Kaguya and brought 4 Hokages to stop the war this is much more than giving a single tail.
Sasuke isn't responsible for Obito's crimes only because he gave a tail months before the war.
Obito and Madara are the responsible for the war and they killed together a hundred people.
They died as punishment.
Well in Obito's case isn't a punishment. Since in afterlife he received his biggest dream. Obito gets to spend the rest of his afterlife with Rin instead of paying for his sins in hell.
Sasuke redeemed his crime like enter the Akatsuki When he helped against Kabuto, Juubi, Obito, Madara and Kaguya and brought 4 Hokages to stop the war this is much more than giving a single tail.
He was helped alliance only with purpose become to final villain. He potentially could make more damage than any villain before him. Can't see this as help.

What? Sasuke was planning a revolution to change the system.
Not a ridiculous plan to transform the entire humanity in white zetsus.
In the end of the day Sasuke didn't kill anyone besides make Naruto lose his arm.
He only helped in War and after dissipated the Mugen Tsukuyomi. Saving the humanity to become white zetsus.
Unlike Obito and Madara who killed the half of the alliance and revived the Juubi and Obito who killed 7 Jinchuriki, was the leader of akatsuki and declared the fourth shinobi world war
I almost forget Kabuto who revived Madara and brought the entire Edo Tensei army.
If you can't see Sasuke participation in war as a help.
Then remove Sasuke's entire participation in the War and the whole world would be destroyed only against Juubito
So if we look at the reason why Sasuke wasn't sent to jail...

Well, that's pretty lame. That's the reason he wasn't imprisoned for life - imagine what public opinion on him was. Not so great. He almost killed the village hero, Naruto. He was planning on becoming a dictator and taking over the world in some sort of mess of a plan. And it's not like undoing the Infinite Tsukuyomi proves he was a "good guy"; it was either that, or live in the world alone. Not really like he had much of an option...plus, we knew from the beginning that he disagreed with Madara and Obito's eye of the moon plan so, no surprises there, we knew all along he would do it, and it's not something he did out of self-interest, but it's still not a selfless act that proves his goodness. Raikage Ay and the rest of Kumo is still probably pissed at him for trying to kill Killer Bee, and Ay's still missing that arm. Konoha's pissed at him for almost killing Naruto, the village hero. The rest of the shinobi world isn't likely to forgive him so easily, and as readers, it's disappointing to us that Sasuke never performed a truly selfless act in the end, one that involves a sacrifice on his part and one that's meaningful to the shinobi world.
So what could he have done? Answer: Rinne Tensei no Jutsu. Sasuke should have revived every single member of the Allied Shinobi forces to prove his regret and show to the readers and the shinobi world that in the end he was really a good guy. And let's not forget, a lot of people died in that war.

Holy shit, and that was only after the first day? That's not including shinobi who were killed by transformed white Zetsu who infiltrated the army camps and started killing people left and right. That's not including the shinobi who were killed by Madara and Obito (remember those giant meteors that wiped out a battlefield?) That's not including the shinobi who got their chakra sucked and killed by the God Tree, or the people killed by Spiral Zetsu. If Sasuke used the Rinne Tensei and revived all those soldiers, imagine the gratitude everyone would have towards him...it offers more closure to Sasuke's character and establishes him as a "good guy" in the end.

, he would be able to erase all his past mistakes with a single, powerful act, and prevent people from having to go through this:

So, what would this accomplish for the readers? And how would this develop Sasuke's character, or end him on a good note?
It involves a sacrifice on Sasuke's part, showing that he's selfless. Sasuke would be sacrificing his eye. I'm pretty sure using Rinne Tensei kills the user of the technique...but, Sasuke can use Rinne Tensei with his Rinnegan, while simultaneously using izanagi with his sharingan, so history would be rewritten and he wouldn't die. But, he would still lose his sharingan so that's a sacrifice of some sort. It counts!
It would show to everyone that the war wasn't a waste of life. Probably a lot of families were angry that they ever went to war, and even though the leaders/people in positions of power within the great nations would be able to understand that it was for the greater good (as they could not have won the war without the cooperation of them all), the majority of people probably didn't see it that way and felt like they had lost their loved ones for a war that seemed far off and distant, even if it affected them directly. If the shinobi were revived, it would have shown that the war wasn;t just a waste of life and that something was actually gained from it...
It ends Sasuke on a good note, and make sense why everyone forgave him. Admit it...Sasuke's kind of a dick. He tried to kill Sakura multiple times and yet she immediately forgave him and...healed him as soon as she saw him sick and dying and...wanted to travel the world with him and...ended up...marrying him and having a kid with him? Wtf? That makes no sense. If he had redeemed himself in this sort of way, it would have shown he became a changed man, instead of him just saying it.
So, if you made it this far, I have to thank you for reading my thread...and I know my opinion isn't that popular and I will get a lot of comments saying "deal with it, the manga's over" and "rinne tensei is so cliche, that would be the exact same thing as what Nagato did." Well...STFU! It would have been a lot better than what actually did happen, and I'm entitled to share my opinion. If you don't like it, you don't have to comment.
Dude. You take things too personally. He wasn't the one who killed the ninjas in the shinobi alliance did he. You really need to chill, plus we all have no idea what sasuke was doing when he left on his journey of redemption. Could be that he went to the hidden cloud to set things right. And he didn't kill bee. Read the manga again. He only knocked him out with the amaterasu. Sheesh, complaining much?
His redemption was fine. You can argue about whether or not it was selfish or selfless all you want, at the end of the day, without him, they'd be White Zetsu. The overall notion of your thread will be valid if you can answer one question: What crime has Sasuke done that the Five Great Villages didn't commit themselves?
At first I thought this was going to be another one of those mindless hater threads populating the discussion forum nowadays. After reading I see this is pretty well thought out. My only answer is that maybe Kishi and his team never really thought about it. Maybe he did this redemption off-screen or will in The Last movie.
Good thread. A lot better than the ones out there today.
