Sasuke might as well already be dead. Took him, what, 10 years jerking off in the woods and plot-device of wandering a castle aimlessly to figure out a threat was looming? Naruto could either take his Rinnegan and master it in no time with his chakra expertise and Rikudō prowess, or toss it to the homie Kakashi as the original plan was.

Do you know how many lives Naruto has impacted/saved? If Naruto dies the world will grieve their Hero, sasuke might go emo if his bestie/brother dies. The fact you suggested Naruto's death whom the manga is entitled would be meaningless is beyond me.

Naruto dies, there goes the peace and stability. Without no one to maintain it, the world slowly slips back to where it was before, chaos. The 9 bijuu Naruto befriended, and kept idle, are targeted weapons again with Naruto not there to protect them, causing turmoil for them to rebel and attack. The good ties and bonds The Leaf has with the villages are are snipped, because someone would be bound to pull a stunt now that the most powerful Kage is dead. The state of the shinobi world is riding on Naruto to alot of extent.
