Ok so I have admittedly been kind of harsh on Sasuke's character here in the past, mostly because the worship of him is both irritating and (imo) for the wrong reasons. But he has started to grow on me recently as I have been rereading the manga. Forget all of that though, this is about things that he said in 699. First, the way he talks to Sakura about his "journey":
This raises a lot of questions, but I don't have much to say about it. I just feel it is necessary information.
Next up is what he says to Naruto and what he is thinking at the very end of the chapter.
First I would like to briefly mention the "real fight" bit and wonder aloud if we will ever get to see that fight.
But, more importantly, the application of Naruto's concept to "bigger things". What I'm thinking also ties into the whole idea that the Uchihas feel love more strongly than anyone else and (because of this) are extremists by nature. I think that Sasuke, now feeling Naruto's love for him and having renewed hope, plans to try to spread this idealism around the world and create ultimate peace or something. It's also because he is ashamed of what he has done to Konoha and he is sort of punishing himself.
So I think Sasuke is going to become like a missionary of Naruto or something. But yeah idk. This is all interesting to me. Sorry it's so disorganized I made all this like 30 minutes ago on a whim and then got really excited and decided to make this thread.
Also I wonder if that is similar to what Hamura did (I haven't followed The Last at all so maybe it's covered there somewhere).
