Sasuke: Strongest part 1 Genin but still heavily nerfed

Sasuke was without a doubt, the strongest Genin by the end of Part 1 but he was still heavily nerfed throughout the series. So much so it's laughable. Let's take a look:

Sasuke's receipt of the cursed seal from Orochimaru meant that his ability to use the sharingan was nerfed. This was a necessary evil during the forest of death because a healthy, sharingan-wielding Sasuke would steal the spotlight from Naruto by soloing in an instant. Those mist ninja Naruto beat in the forest for example, would have been instantly blitzed.

Sasuke can't watch the chunin prelims or use his sharingan? Pretty convenient, since if he was present he could just copy almost everyone's moves and witness Gaara's abilities (and Lee's shortcomings vs him) and come up with a battle plan for him. But no, that would be too convenient.

Limiting chidori to two shots was super-convenient too, since Gaara didn't really have an answer for the jutsu.

Not to mention the fact that part 1 Sasuke doesn't have any offensive genjutsu feats, despite owning a sharingan. Pretty convenient since genjutsu was pretty much a one shot on Naruto

Despite all these nerfs he still slapped Naruto down 3 times and was without a doubt the strongest genin by the end of part 1.

Chidori is'nt a nerf and Sasuke wasnt genjutsu type. Its best to home your ninjutsu first. Sasuke is a power type guy.

Curse Mark also wasnt a nerf as strong techniques recquire prices to pay. In the end he got all 3tomoe and Curse Mark after it settled. He was only nerfed by Curse Mark for a little while. Nothing Major. The progress he woulda made own his own pales in comparisom to what he gained.

You do realize Sasuke won at VOTE1 because of plot armor, right? The only reason it was IMPOSSIBLE for Naruto to win was because half of the story would have been gone if he had.

People keep on using Naruto & Sasuke's feats to bicker about who's stronger but let's face it--without plot armor they both would have died SEVERAL times.

Naruto's base and 0-tailed modes got slapped down with ease by Sasuke. There was a clear difference in power between them. The only time Sasuke had trouble in the fight was when Kurama started acting independently (1 tailed) and even then he overcame that.

If Sasuke watched the chunin prelims with his sharingan he could have copied all of Lee's gates+speed and Shikamaru's shadow jutsu among others. Add this to intel on Gaara+chidori and Sasuke would have been even more powerful than he was by the end of part 1.

No Genin (bar Kin) was shown to use genjutsu. Early part 2 Sasuke was very adept at genjutsu, which he showed on numerous ocassions vs Sai, Orochimaru and during the Deidara fight. Sharingan genjutsu would have one-shotted a lot of genin in part 1 (Naruto especially) and that's most likely why Sasuke (and Sakura) never had their potential filled in this area in part 1.

Nope, he could've killed Naruto by stabbing him in the heart, but he didn't do so. He also could've killed Naruto after the fight or stab him in their last clash, but instead he clenched his fist to not pierce him. He won because he was the stronger one in part one.

I admit I was kinda ticked off when they gave Lee's hard working feat to Sasuke almost for free (Lee & Gaara are my favorite characters).
I mean he still has six gates so he can fodderise loads of people but still.

In fact, if someone with a Sharingan seels a 5th or 6th gate user move at insane speeds, would they be able to copy THAT speed?

Chunin exam Sasuke can easily match Lee's weightless and early gated speed (1&2 gates). Lee starts his fights with weights on and even then it takes time to open the gates, which offers Sasuke a window of opportunity to blitz with chidori. The curse mark gives him an additional speed boost and durability (Sasuke got catapulted into a wall by one tailed Naruto and didn't feel a thing from it). It would be interesting to see how durable CS2 wings would be considering Sasuke's part 2 feats with them.

I really wish part 1 Sasuke had an offensive genjutsu feat so I could just say genjutsu gg :elmo: Lee is a one trick pony who should easily get solo'd by a semi-decent genjutsu. Kin would probably beat Lee if she got the first attack in on him since he wouldn't be able to dispel the move.

Everyone forgets, naruto was in 1 tailed mode, if he went 2 tails sasuke gets begged, plot saved sasuke because it wouldn't allow naruto to go more tails

Sorry but Naruto was more nerfed. If you were brain dead and paid attention, Naruto wasn't able to use his chakra properly because if the 9tails in his body. So suck a **** you fail troll.
