In powers maybe as he has Itachi's eyes and thus EMS now thanks to Itachi.

But Itachi was a better and true shinobi, very mature for his age, calm, great at assessing his opponants, great strategist, foresight and ability to see the larger picture, most talented Uchiha since Madara and worthy of Hokage position in time but for Madara not being really dead and spoiling everything.

I think Itachi would win hands down sasuke got those techniques from Itachi the person who had them first so all in all Sasuke has made some decent tweeks to itachi's techniques but itachi would still have some idea on how to counter or evade them even with sasukes additions and that fight between him and sasuke where he dies is hardly anything to go off to measure there abilities Itachi was sick and his plan was to die at sasukes hands i believe madara says if Itachi wanted you dead you would have been which is true even now only if hes at full health though

i agree on the counter bit, seeing that he has given something to naruto that itachi himself hopes naruto wouldnt use on sasuke.

Itachi is the superior shinobi....no question. Sasuke's aspirations and achievements have mostly been on the behalf of wanting to emulate or kill Itachi.....and he still couldn't beat him. Itachi became elite all on his own merit....I can't really say that for Sasuke

Well, you have to really take it into the perspective that Sasuke is just nowhere near as well trained as Itachi. Now give Sasuke some more time (maybe after the next time skip) and im sure he'll have mastered his ocular powers which are now only at the moderate stage of use. Even Danzo said during his fight with Sasuke when Sasuke tried to use his Genjutsu on him that he had nowhere near the intellegence Itachi had to use the Tsukiyomi and control time the way Itachi had been obviously able to in his "prime". I think right now as the characters stand Itachi would win in his prime, but i think given time when Sasuke actually hits his prime and with the power of Susan'o and better ocular use he would rape Itachi. Hands down.

Sasuke is alot stronger than when he fought Itachi. If Itachi wanted him dead, and they fought now, man, that'd be one heck of a battle! Still, I think Itachi's Susano'o's weapens would give him the advantage.

Even though sasuke might have surpassed Itachi in power but Itachi is not too far from him but still Itachi is better coz he has some brain to use but sasuke has a empty drum at the top of his body which would coz him lose any battle with a cool minded one before him.

Itachi could probably beat Sasuke. When Itachi sealed Orochimaru using Susanoo's Sword of Totsuka it didn't take that much effort so what would Sasuke have to prevent Itachi from using Susanoo to do the exact same to him?

We have not seen Sasuke since he got his bothers eyes but I would have to go full on and say Itachi would win from what we seen up to this point. Its not just about the power but Itachi has shown to be far more efficient fighter. Personally I think you can make Sasuke a little more powerful and his brother would still win from efficiency alone.
