i do not see any sign of sand consumption here. The part that was burning in the first image should not have been there, it should have been consumed. BUT WHAT? IT IS STILL THERE.

The sand is clearly burning in that image is it not? If its burning that means its consuming, albeit slowly... If it wasn't burning, Amaterasu would just drop to the ground would it not? Do you see the logic?

He was burning for at least a minute before Kankuro came. Ama is no Hotter than Enton (it's the same flame)

It is well known that amaterasu doesn't burn so quickly, and thats the only reason why it was taking time to take over Gaara's sand. For all we know, he must have cut off his own sand to get away from the Enton.

Itachi implanted only that single Amaterasu, that is why Sasukes Sharingan changed to Itachi's MS. Sasukes MS powers are his own.
